- Vanlife In Portmeirion, Little Italy in Wales. Portmeirion village is breathtaking, its fake Italy, the only village where no one lives and you have to pay to enter.
Easy to park for vanlife motorhoming adventures.
£20 per person admission fee to Portmeirion Village and you can stay for the day. You can stay in the Portmeirion Hotel or on the motorhome and camping site.

Been there a few times, one of our favourite places to go.... 'Altered Images - see those eyes' and 'Supergrass - Alright' were filmed there, earlier this year a young rap artist was filming a promo while we were there as well...people like the place lol

One of my favourite places. Created by a very clever architect William Clough Ellis, who didn't begin full work on it till he was seventy( hope for all who say they are too old to do things!).
You can easily miss things, like the trompe d'oeil windows on the first house on your left as you walk in, that are just painted on complete with net curtains. Brian Epstein , the Beatles manager stayed in the peach coloured gatehouse at one time, when he was deciding what his next move was with the fab four.
The views onto the estuary are magnificent. Its worth having coffee or tea in the hotel just to sit and watch....there is also a fab chinese themed garden complete with follies which you can walk through to the beach...

@Travellingtravins I should have started with great video! It's a place I've long wanted to go to. I believe they don't allow dogs? Not sure if I'm brave enough to leave the Mongeral in the van that long.
Do go it’s well worth a visit its a beautiful place, no dogs correct we had to leave Nelson in the camper, we spent about 2 hours there, you can return to your vehicle and go back in so possible doggy check in and go back in option, ample parking for campers and motorhomes, thank you for your positive comments really appreciated, take care 👍🫶
