Courage’s name is spot on and to call him a cowardly dog is unjust, “fearful dog” would be more apt. It’s true that he has more then a healthy amount of fear if… well everything actually, but he has the “courage” to push his fear aside and charge headlong into danger to save his family. But only when his family’s in danger, there’s a broad line he never crosses between being courageous and being a fool!
To be fair, if I had created a monster in a body of water near me and it suddenly popped up roaring I'd react with fright too. Though unlike Courage, I'd likely laugh if off after recovering (I tend to do so after being startled, depending on the situation). 🤣
The Singing Eel should've been a recurring character who helps Courage deal with the monsters and villains by eating them lol and it's so funny when he eats Eustace every time and the funniest part is Eustace and the Eel singing together lol
My favorite version is the one by Colm R. McGuinness on his channel, admittedly, it's only version I've heard, but it's so good it's the only version I want to hear.
So for anyone wondering, the eel is singing the same song a second time but a different line. When he says "bend" it's another word for kneel, which is the original lyric. "Then you will kneel and whisper that you love me"
A lot of major details here are amusing - the eel being a snarling guard-eel with a beautiful singing voice, Eustace falling into Courage's boiling pot, etc - but one minor detail always amuses me: the way the eel's arms wave when he roars after Eustace every time Eustace scrams out of the moat. 🤣
I’ve heard the music in a different key, this one makes more sense, but the other one sounds better. (Specifically the battle music when Eustace starts charging at the tree)
Eustace got eaten by the singing eel just bite him on his face damn that's what he gets for trying to cut the purple tree down courage was protecting his purple tree can talk to him about his cure for Muriel isn't feeling well at all because her head is huge courage brought his cure to help her feel better
Eustace wants to cut down his tree courage was protecting his tree from getting cutting down by Eustace is Always be mean to courage when he was born differently than he had no family has gone missing somewhere
Did Courage seriously think that he was gonna be able to knock back that huge boulder with a wooden bat? The bat would stand no chance against a rock that big.
The eel's roaring sound after he sings with Eustace gets me laughing every time.
Clearly it's the "RARGHHEHEH" sound after the beautiful sound lol
@@timv1109 It's actually BAAAAAAAAAH!

Gotta love that Courage is even terrified of his own created monsters 😂

That’s what we call a Frankenstein moment right there
Gotta Love That Courage Is Even Terrified
The Singing Eel had a wonderful beautiful singing voice 😢
It’s breathtaking.
I've remembered this show almost exclusively from its singing
He was singing the Northern Irish anthem
@@tomedy_official
I like the part where he and Eustace sing together before he eats him lol
I think he has a shot on Broadway.
I love how the eel looks so happy on the packet courage pours the powder from
Instant eel 😂😂
I never noticed that! Absolutely hilarious 😂

I just realized something:
Eustace keeps trying to go in for the chop, but all he gets is the chomp.🤣

Eustace: "Stew?! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!"

I guess that instant eel must've come from Scotland

Dang!?! I miss this show a hundred time. That eel completely needs an award
He needs a Grammy 🏆
1:30; I love that part
Eustace doesn't
To those curious, the song the eel and eventually Eustace sings is Danny Boy which is sung by many, particularly Johnny Cash.
My favorite version is the one by Colm R. McGuinness on his channel, admittedly, it's only version I've heard, but it's so good it's the only version I want to hear.

Made me happy when Eustace sings with the eel, and gets bitten at the end.
Too bad he's managed to cut the tree down 😅😅
@deensaid7762 hey have some respect for nature bro. Trees have feelings you know.
When Eustace sharpened an already sharp axe to turn it into a dull stone axe.

The eel must've been sleeping on the job, because Eustace managed to reach the tree.
So for anyone wondering, the eel is singing the same song a second time but a different line. When he says "bend" it's another word for kneel, which is the original lyric. "Then you will kneel and whisper that you love me"
Also he was already singing the song before Eustace hit the water they both came up to finish the eel song before he eats him
1:14 Eustace: Oh, no! Not the birdie boiler!
I see what you did there.
If I had to choose between a shrieking eel or singing eel I'd choose the singing one.
courage utilized a monster to aid him on this one, kinda wish he would have used other monsters like the eel to fight off other monsters
Could've become a reoccurring character, like Mister Mouse.

Yeah and I bet he would've became Courage's ally and help protect his family too.
Eustace was the monster in this episode

i don't see why courage could've hire someone who love nature to chain themselves to a tree so eustace wouldn't hurt anyone and chop down the tree
Most likely, with Eustace being stubborn as he is, it would have made no difference.
They don't make em' like they used to kids.
Good old days
Glad we all share this random memory from childhood😭😭😭
I wish he appeared more in the series
For a show that can be scary from time to time, I love how they have the most random and funniest moments. 🤣💀
