At least fifteen of my friends use vivo v15 pro..everyone's pop up camera is fine till now. So its a lame logic that company discontinue this for durability.. Only reason is they wanted to cut the cost of making phone.

OnePlus lost its charm when they joined hands with oppo. I'm a long time OnePlus user, I've used 3T, 6, 7T , 8pro and now Nord CE. One thing that I noticed in these years is the update situation previously during the time of OnePlus 6 they used to provide superfast updates infact they were the first to introduce the latest Android version after Google announced it, their performance was blazing fast that to why I purchased 7T the 7T is still with me no doubt its fast till date but there are a lot of bugs in the smartphone and the 8pro its notorious OnePlus that made the camera UI like a realme or oppo phone. I mean come on OnePlus why do u need to do it its a freaking 60k phone and its like I'm using a camera app like 17k phone. There are a lot of bugs the amoled display redness issue & the phone jitters at high refresh rate moreover now also its on October security patch. Nord CE is u can say a realme phone apart from the oxygen os layout ( realme Ui ) inside & too there are a lot of heating issues. And did I mention Oxygen Os is now not the same as 'Before'. I am a old OnePlus user from a very long time and noticed changes in these period.

I don't like to take selfies. Only sometimes i use pop up camera. I will stick with pop up selfie camera on the OnePlus 7T pro McLaren edition. Nothing will happen by using or keeping under pop up selfie camera. Pop up selfie camera is still alive not dead.

My 4 year old Zenfone 6 with the FlIP mechanism still works well (maybe a bit slowly to deploy, but that's it). I am hugely sad for this feature to be gone 😢 I should have upgraded to the 8 FLIP at some point but won't bother now for $800.

companies stopped pop-ups due to cost cutting. Pop-up camera had much superior selfie camera's with bigger sensors. for ex: oneplus 7 pro still has superior selfie camera than 9 pro. otherwise the durability factor is just hogwash and psychological as camera moves up and down so people automatically assume it's wearing down without any empirical data. I'm still using my oneplus 7 pro from the date of launch (17 may 2019) till now and it's as buttery smooth since day 1

M k20 pro user. Mera soch thoda alag hai. Popup se koi problem nhi. But slow lagta hai. Like mujhe ab ek hole punch camera wala zada pasand anta hai corner pe middle pe nhi. Face unlock quick hota hai aur very useful hai. Aur duo jaise aap bina chahte camera open kar deta hai. Aur aisa pop-up camera phn main 2013-14pe imagine karta tha.
My realme x is running excellent till date since I bought it in its first sale 👍🏼 no problem in pop up camera but software downgraded feels like phone's hardware is not using camera properly but gcam works 😂

They don't provide IP on these phones anyway. Most mid range phones doesn't come with a proper IP rating for under water usage.
