For all the years of some of the most meaningful music I have ever experienced....how many times have I heard those who attempt to reach for the substance and yet can only grasp at the shadow. Thank you Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker.
If Lou Stone finds his way to being Zero 7's main vocalist for the next few years I would die a happy man, what a voice! Absolutely excellent chaps, everyone brilliant. REAL music, bravo! *cries a little.
@@liverpoolhw I was coming to say the same! Lou & Sia teamed with Zero 7 would produce pure eargasms. Been a fan of Zero 7 since the beginning and I’ve yet to hear a more talented and consistently great band.
i've likely listened to this on Shadows at least 1000 times since release. on my commute, at work, with my lover, at home, in my head singing to myself. priceless, beautiful... another masterpiece. thank you for this.
This is the most gorgeous gathering of musical notes to hit my ears in a while. Just like the first time I heard “Destiny”, I stopped dead in my tracks and had to figure what majestic sound I was hearing 😂. Henry, Sam, yall have done it again. Lou suits you guys well.
So nice to hear a sound reminicent of what I recall. Missed this sound, and dream of getting back to simple things/garden/when it falls. Right on. Keep it up.
Exactly what I was thinking. Totally share that sentiment. Is it just me in my bubble, or does nobody really know who this band is in your bubble either??
@@jaykong1128 very few, it's kind of funny, my brother introduced me to then through the garden state movie soundtrack. I became a fan and years later I'm listening to them and he had no idea who they were so I got to reintroduce them to him. I've been very wary of the pop/electric direction, as there was something extremely niche about that 70's lounge chill vibe they had, just the right amount of almost jazz attitude while still being very very relaxed. It's the best sound in it's class.
@@failscalator Oh man you described their style so well. I remember when that movie came out, never did see it. I was exposed to 'destiny' on M2 (Mtv2 channel). I was 16, was pretty exclusivley into death metal etc.....and then I heard that song and its tamber was so, legitimate and meaningful, I couldent ignore it. Funny part, I bought the album 'simple things' and only liked 2 songs on it at first LOL! yeah, that would change in just a year or two later. Became a devout follower since, they have felt like my lifes sound track for so long, and yet I hardly know any one who is aware of them....to this day! Cool sharing stories though, I appreciate that.
@@jaykong1128 all good man, nice story, I get a kick out of only liking 2 songs from simple things, as in highschool I was the same, but at some point a couple years later, in my early 20's the whole album clicked for me during a road trip, every track was perfect. But your right it is interesting how unknown the group is within my friends/family. Have a good life man, check out talkie walkie, by air I believe, has good vibes.
@@failscalator Thanks for that brother, I will check out talkie walkie by air for sure. Yeah, Im glad I kept giving that album a chance over those two songs, cuz just like you I ended adoring the entire album front to back.
So beautiful!!! You guys have meant so much to me throughout my life. It’s so great to see you still making phenomenal music. Please release a new album
This is just pure & utter bliss. How is it possible to not love this track? Genius. Even better than the studio version, for me. I just wish they'd do another album...
Can you PLEASE PLEASE get these fantastic single releases on an album?! Swimmers, After the Fall, Mono, etc…we know you have even more awesome music. We’re DYING out here for more Zero7!!
I've bust my gut over this one... I have been a Zero7 fan for years I mean twenty odd years. I wish Alex could hear this but she left some sixteen years now and this is a call to my inner soul. It hurts and I will love this for the time that never was or could be. Thank you x There is a subtle orchestration and vibe that holds me wholly to this music.
Beautiful arrangements. Amazing songs. And Lou is a natural fit for this iteration of the band. After the brilliance of this EP I can’t be the only one hoping an album is forthcoming. Surely..?
Heard of them the first time watching the Zach Braff project Garden State. The movie was endearing for several valid reasons but biggest for me, was the low key musical moments. Like when Braff’s character exits Portman’s house and the quietest hints of Alexei Murdoch’s Orange Sky play for what was probably 7 seconds of airtime before fading out. And of course the scene when Braff is partying and In the Waiting Line starts playing and introduced me to Zero 7 in out that moment. Check out the movie if you haven’t. Garden State with Zach Braff and Natalie Portman and a very intelligent smart and touching Indie script to work with. Plus such epic music on the score.
No other band has had such a special place in my life and the funny thing is most folks dont even know of their existence. There's something not quite right about that.
Lou stone, the male version of SIA! They both make microphones weep! So few vocalists I've heard in my life are soo powerful while being so humble with their voice,, if that makes any sense!! 😜 it does to me; ❤❤❤
I remember when The Garden came out and some people didn't like the new direction. So new stuff can get a mixed reaction. Personally, I wouldn't mind hearing the old stuff with new vocalists. How they get such amazing singers, again and again, some with radically different styles at that, is jaw dropping.
I only discovered Zero 7 in the last year. I had so many opportunities to see these guys live years ago 😪 will be seeing the DJ set at Wilderness which I am SO excited about 🤗🤗🤗

Please please please do another album. The EP is out-of-control brilliant.
Thank you

Your music is magical....
this is wonderfoollllll the best music of the world very very very compliment i am a big fan of zero 7 from italy

Teamed with sia and sophie

Him and sia are my two favourites from zero 7. Absolutely gorgeous
Yes, perfect voice!
This about the best shit they’ve ever put out. Lou is the fucking man. He deserves a full length album.
So in love with this band 20 years later. Can't wait!
And I just listened to them for the first time tonight. I envy your 20 years.
Glad polygamy is ok in Music taste!
Could be my journey too ;)
Oh aren’t we all..
In this noisy chaotic World, i'm glad that i can still find a glimpse of calmness and peace, through Zero 7 and their symphony.
i've likely listened to this on Shadows at least 1000 times since release. on my commute, at work, with my lover, at home, in my head singing to myself. priceless, beautiful... another masterpiece. thank you for this.
Same!!
It's absolutely addictive, few songs manage to make me feel so strongly. This one just gives me chills every time, I don't know what it is about it!!
Same!
Lou Stone does you guys justice. He fits in nicely!
That was as close to musical perfection as I've ever heard. Utterly sublime.
My goodness the emotion in his vocals and delivery are out of this world. Zero 7 give us more.

ZERO 7 HAS BEEN AND CONTINUES TO BE AWESOME!!!!!!
It's one of the most perfect songs I have ever heard. I can't stop listening to it.
Same!
My Lord the sounds that woman makes with that violin is simply undescribable! Without it it just wouldn't have been the same song.
Lou Stone is such a great fit for Zero 7. He is up there with Sia and Mozez as far as vocalists are concerned for this group.
That voice. The music. Pure sublime.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard
I have so much memories with this song… I still listen to it again and again for the past 3 years! Thank Zero 7 ❤
I love these artists and all the light they bring.
... One thing I love about this band is they set up their vocalists for a wonderful performance
It just became quite a nice Friday.

Beautiful. This EP is probably my favourite collection since Simple Things.

So awesome to hear that "Simple Things" sound that drew me to this band 20 years ago! I'm ready for more! 😊
Zero 7 are such a class act--if you're here listening to this, then you probably are too.

Everything you do breathes a little magic into the world and I thank you for it from the bottom of my heart. x

Awesome! Has a Jeff Buckley feel. Love this! Peace from Detroit MI.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!
Love Lou Stone's voice with Zero 7! The cello and violin completes the song so well too!
I absolutely ADORE this, gave me goosebumps ❤️
😢
No other band has had such a special place in my life and the funny thing is most folks dont even know of their existence. There's something not quite right about that.
Zero 7 just does not miss, it's almost as if they're best friends of mine
I am Twin Soul Fallen. To my knees to Jerusalem.
Beautiful. Reminds me of a dark mirky Scandinavian tv drama music! 👏
Those strings ……..! ❤

Stunning musical arrangement, lyrics and vocals - stripped back to the essentials, it's nothing short of mesmerising ✌️
I keep hoping that everytime they rerelease content that it means we get something new
