Thank you for that sir I'm originally from Kentucky and loved fishing all the rivers we had down there!!! I moved up to Illinois about 12 years ago I'm about a little bit over a hour from Evansville Indiana and the rivers and lakes we have up here doesn't have any skipjack in them from my own experience and from all the other angler's I've talked to about catching them !!! Ok let's correct that in my area we don't have any skipjack that I'm aware of!!! The closest place I know of to catch any is the spillway at Carlyle lake and it's a very big tasks to do so if you catch any mostly shad and asian carp!!!! The other place that I have is 2 hours away from me and that's at Shelbyville lake spillway and I'm not for sure if they even have them up there to be honest with ya!!!! I sure miss just going to any spot I fished on the Ohio river or even the locks on the Ohio and catch a cooler full cause it is the best bait I have ever used for all different types of catfish also stripers love them as well on the hot water outlet that flows out the electric plant on the Ohio river

Bad thing about using a swivel on you skipjack rigs is making sure you don't reel it up to much and bust the insert out of you top eye. I use a double uni knot to connect my skipjack rigs to my braid. Never has failed me yet.
