Immunotherapy for breast cancer is developing rapidly following the first FDA-approved checkpoint inhibitor for triple-negative breast cancer in March 2019. New treatment regimens combining immunotherapy with chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery are showing promise in clinical trials.
