I’ve found them extremely handy. I never knew that stainless steel ones were available too. So thank you for that info! 👍👍👍 Here’s a handy tip: The nylon ones can be reused! Being an arch-cheapskate I do this often. 😁 I insert the small tip of a thin pointy knife (my twee, well worn Victorinox “Executive” penknife) into the catch part and lightly lift the catch away from the cable and then pull the cable out. It’s a little bit of an art but it’s easy enough to do. I haven’t been defeated yet. 😁 Keep ‘em coming, Handyman! 👍👍👍
I work industrial electrical and instrumentation and it's absolutely incredible what you can do with T&B tye wraps. They literally hold entire plants together !
One tip you missed is that many can be made reusable as shorter ones simply by thinking about where you cut it when removing it. The tail left in the catch can simply be pulled on through to remove it. The down side is the end being a cut end is harder to thread though the catch and is also potentially sharp.
1. Dont slit the package of zipties.Make a a triangle cut at the middle of the edge of the packing like this ----------v------- That way you can pull out and put back in ziptie but it wont fall out and the bag wont rip apart. 2 All of the nylon zipties are reusable if you make a tool .Best material for it is japanese spatula for auto body work. Its super cheap(10 of them costed me 3$ and you only need one ) and you can make a "key"that fits in between the tab that locks them.Spatula is already thin but you can put chisel edge on it to make it fit even better . I made several sizes keys. Before that i would use needle to release them but these little keys made things so easy since you dont need to guess the width and its so easy to make them with dremel and scribe and a ruler and some sand paper.Basic tools. Only ones i dont bother with are small ones because they are so cheap its not worthy but the big ones are everything but cheap, especially large sizes.
Its like this video was made for me, i had a something to hang up that will need moving regularly. Was nearly going to go down a very long winded approach but this will do much better. Thanks

I use a thin screwdriver. A bit safer.

👍👍👍. Thank you and a Merry Christmas to yourself and your family
Interesting🧐 Thanks👍
Very fine video! And this American viewer likes your accent. After I cut off the tail of the tie I apply a flame to partially melt & blunt it.
Great video, thank you and Merry Christmas 🎄 to you and your family 🎉
You would need 23,192,727 of the big cable ties to stretch around the Earth's equator

Some great tips. Thank you!!!
Get the right ones and you can use them as filler in plastic repairs, using a flame or soldering iron type heat source.👍🚀
New jacket!
I use a small flat head screwdriver and depress the little tab in the locking part so I can reuse the zip tie
Thanks UH
