Outswing doors are the way to go for a shop for sure. And you will not regret the size of the building over time....tremendous opportunity for "lofty" storage for sure.
Too much caffeine? I know not what you speak of 😆 Amazing how fast 218 days have flown by... well, from my perspective...your perspective there has been a TON of work and living out of a trailer. Hope the neck is doing much much better.
Looking great Jay man! When I used to assist in framing homes I always liked the openness of the frame as the building got smaller as walls went up. But this could be a small sports arena! LOL! Being old I'm concerned about your chainsaw work. You're a ways from a hospital I'm guessing sooooo bro protective gear like chaps and gloves as I know a professional sawyer who had an unforeseen accident cutting an artery in his leg and working alone almost died! Just sayin?
I can already see a Big Ass Fan in your future, that high of a roof line, you will want a fan like that to keep air circulating in the shop, summer and winter both
It's on the list. The majority of our budget went to securing the shop shell size we wanted. All of the details will come in time, as we don't want to go in debt to get it all done immediately.
The added cost to make everything "house quality" is not worth it for us. Although the size of the shop is relatively large, everything about it is focused on "basic" and just needs to work as a shop. We want a basic, but long lasting, shop structure. We will make the house to a higher standard.
Maybe a hoist/bridge system in your future? Shop that big, may get really big heavy projects or equipment…suspended hoist would work nicely…. When a budget allows of course.
It is so neat to see the building beginning to take shape. This is getting REAL.
That's going to be some shop. Enjoy! Cheers 🍻
Looking great. So happy for you and your family. Can’t wait to see it finished
Magnifique.🤩😍 Vivement la prochaine vidéo😉. Superbe montage 🎥et fond musical 📻. 👏💪💪🏁

can you think "MEZZANINE"?
Nice to see the start
With tall walls invest in a good forklift 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Man I feel like 218 days started last week!
When bucking up the trees… If you drive a wedge in the top of the cut you will be able to make the cut without binding your bar.
Correct. But it's something else to keep up with. I'm getting better. Binding has been minimal.

Tyler told me at Church the other night she was getting her own Utube channel, lol
Haha. We're going to setup a "studio" with her workbench when we get the shop setup
cool, i take it that everything is welded? here in the UK everything gets bolted, nice to see how differently things get done.
I’ve seen both methods here in the US. Just a matter of the chosen contractor, designer, and engineer to specify.
Looks awesome. Only downside is the roll up doors. Why not traditional garage door?
Nothing to get in the way of overhead as the struts would be 4+ feet long.
@@ferky123 unless it's the commercial door I think they are much worse than a normal garage door. They don't seal great and super loud with the wind.

Time will tell
