YESSSSS. I love that you did this one. When I reacted to this it was probably one of the reactions I had the most fun with. Tennessee whiskey is an anthem as you say and they KILLED it. But drink you away............. That was fucking so amazing. Can you imagine being there? 😩

And to think Chris wasn’t originally scheduled to perform even though he was nominated that year, the people behind the awards show didn’t think Chris should because he wasn’t known as a singer at the time. So Chris’s mgr or wife called Justin and asked him if he would perform with Chris and that’s when the awards show said yes. Drink You Away, is a song off Justin’s album 20/20 Experience

Chris has done soooo many fantastic collabs at the CMAs and AMCs, this video with Justin was when Chris won best new artist… this year (2024) he did one with Dua Lipa that was pretty awesome. Check it out.

I am very late to the party when it comes to Chris..honestly and even tho I'm from Missouri lol country music isn't my thing. I like old classic country most of it nowadays is so glamorized and sexualized that to me it's just not country. Chris is the epitome of a great musician no matter the genre..his vocals are arguably the best I ever heard just because of the uniqueness behind it. Justin can sing his ass off to but Chris definitely has the better voice. Found me an awesome reactor in the process to :) Much thanks and take care! And you also have a nice voice yourself btw..

You should watch the video he does with his wife, Morgane, they do a cover of, "I Hope You Dance" for St. Jude. It's really incredible and I think you'd like it. ☺It's Justin's song. It's really quite good! And it looks like they're having a party on stage! Also...one final note...watch the live version of, "White Horse." CMA's. THAT is WOW!
