Mechanically valorant is easier than CS, but strategy wise it's way harder in higher elo, because there are more permutations available with the abilities.
Val and CS are two very different kinds of difficult. Mechanically CS is leaps and bounds more difficult than any gunplay in valorant simply because of the way character models move and the different kinds of guns. Valorant is much harder strategically, especially at a pro level, due to the various interactions between different pieces of utility and the amount of effort and utility you have to put into taking even a little bit of space
CS feels like your gun reactions are more important; where as, Val is very dependent on playing off your abilities. As well as, being able to move a little bit and still hit a shot in CS vs forced stopping to hit a shot in Val, even at point blank range.
Csgo is more mechanically hard in terms of aim and movement etc but understanding valorant in game sense is more difficult as there r more factors to account for

@Ihate_rice yeah but it's true this time, Val sucks ass and CS2 is bad too, but they must be doing smthn right if they think it is better. Val players have like 2 brainchild combined tho so it makes sense. Edit: I guess you could call me the master baiter.
And if you're actually playing at a decent level in cs, the enemy team knows how to throw a proper execute and you know how to play antiflash and bait and switch with your team, the gap between the average Valorant player and the average cs player is huge.
More complex does not equal more difficult. Cs requires way more mechanical skill to play at a high level, no crutches, its way harder to be good. Valorant is more of a first person strategy game than anything (makes sense considering the developer) so its alot more complex it that way, but if you say cs is easier to reach a decent rank you are delusional.
Utility. Utility is whats killing the game. 5 players with 4 abilities each means youre dodging almost 20 abilities anchoring a site alone sometimes. It feels like a death sentence, and def not fun
Lets not forget that in valorant, defenders are also able to use abilities. Lets not forget Tenz doesn't play the ability-heavy agents, so of course holding sites would be hell for him. This isnt even considering the fact that Tarik switched because he wanted to, Tenz had no other choice, that alone should say who's opinion is stronger
I can't believe people think Valorant is harder when abilities do like half the work for you. Even playing for info is so much harder in CS cause you don't have recon abilities and you have to take way more risks
That literally just makes valorant easiser because you could be on the opposing team of what he just said and flashing and getting easy entry into people
I think people are misunderstanding tenz here he isn't saying valorant is better he is saying its frustrating cause as a cs player it would genuinely piss people off like there is nothing to do with skill and that's not how a fps should be its basically ow
Shroud was a peanut brain CS player, though, so it's a weird argument. He was pure mechanics and lacked any significant knowledge of the game compared to other pros.
Complexity doesn't equal difficulty at the highest level. Complexity makes a game harder at the lower levels but the simplicity of a game opens up a far more complex metagame. Making a game more unpredictable doesn't make it better.
Anyways, doesn't matter. Valo is strategically harder, csgo is mechanically harder and requires more practice and routine. If we compare aimwise. There's nothing to compare. U lost me about the part when i read about the first shot inaccuracy.
Valo pro play is definitely strategically harder but that never actually affects ranked gameplay. As long as u know how to use ur abilities u can always cheese kills. Val is the biggest cheese game and the game just promotes brain dead plays with agents like Jett and Reyna, raze, and even skye and breach. I stopped playing that shit after being immo 3 for 4 acts in a row because those ranks r do not fun to play especially when ur solo queuing the entire time cause none of ur friends are above plat elo
For all the people that say Valo is the harder game, i just wanna say that there have only been cases where CS pro go to valorant and become top tier Pro, but no Valo player that goes to CS and becomes Top tier Pro
It’s harder to move and shoot in cs yea but Valo’s mental stack is an absolute monster. You just can’t account for everything, there’s too many variables that have synergies with each other. I think CS2 completing the rps loop with nades affecting smoke is a step towards that I think, and valve talking about adding weapons sounds like they want to have more of that
"normal people dont care" as i saw in one of the reply section here, and imo thats partly true. both community can shit on each other but at the end of the day nothing changes, it just feels like watching a political debate that leads to more hate
If someone commented that CS is harder than Val, they haven't played both Val and CS. I'm not biased Val it's just the fact that Val is more complex than CS, and way harder to master if your goal is to master all the mechanisms in the game
The thing abt CS thats better than Valo is that in CS, your nades are capped. You could have 10 flashes max, and 5 smokes per team, where in Valorant you have characters that have up to 3 of each. You have to learn harder lineups for CS, and Valorant has crutch characters for every play style.
man’s never sat defending site in cs when the other team throws 5 flashes 5 mollys 5smokes and 5 nades at you while it’s just you and your boy lol. That shit is terrifying hahaha
My friend who has played both Valorant and CS for the same amount of time busts heads in immortal and top frags almost 90 percent of the time but in CS against LEs he consistently bottom or mid frags
I dont think people understand what tenz means. Valorant is not harder, because its so hard to learn, its harder because of all the utilities, that can get thrown at you, without you having a fair chance to fight back. Sometimes you get killed, even tho you didnt play bad. Its sometimes frustrating learning valorant as a cs player, because people of al the utilities, that makes a fight often uneven. In CS everybody got the same abilities and utilites, its the raw skill that matters. Map awareness, strategical thinking, aim, crosshair placement, utility usage.
remember that most top valorant pros are not even in tier 1 csgo. but tenz is right tho. first time playing valorant after playing cs for a long time is very confusing. like idek wtf vulnerability means after playing for a year and my broken english didnt help much either. but after learning the basics and learning what different agents do it is actually easier to play than cs.
Ah yes because random variables totally make a game “harder” While chess has the most basic moves but is considered the hardest game Valorant may be harder to learn than csgo because there’s a lot going on, but it’s not harder competition wise.
Of course the none of the cs players in these comments understood what he said, understanding anything is way beyond an average cs player's mental capacity

Don't get me wrong, it requires skill but the amount of assistance you get from abilities undeniably lowers the skill ceiling and if you can't see that, I don't think you understand the difficulty of playing CS at higher ranks
@@YaqootI don't get your logic. How'd you get the "according to your logic, Valorant is much more difficult and more complex than Chess" conclusion. The point was that you will be on the receiving end of skills that valorant agents have as well. Not to mention you can get countered by abilities that the defenders have as well if the right agent was anchoring the site. No argument was even made that this makes valorant harder to play than cs. Just that having easier to use skills does not make valorant easier to play than csgo. It just has an easier entry point for new players.
@@Yaqoot You're coping so hard to die on the "my game is harder than yours and hence better" hill.
You do realise that no all agents have access to all abilities right? The team comp is usually 2 entry, 1 hold, 1 smoker and 1 recon. So there's at most, 3 smokes your team can use and if you're lucky, 2 mollys. Well what about csgo? No way, you get 5 smokes, 5 mollys and 10 flashes? Wtf why is this game so easy?
For the life of you, you don't seem to understand that the enemy team has the same access to agents that the playing team has. Saying "a good sova dart can clear a space". A good molly can clear an angle, way better than a sova dart can. But wait, you have access 5 MOLLYS? By this logic is csgo easier?
"You don't need to lineup a perfect molly behind a box because you can just Breach aftershock it" Almost like, the enemy can use their abilities as well. Your arguments are so stupid it is actually laguable.
Also " So according to your logic Valorant is more difficult and complex than Chess?" Is Chess a fps? Or are you saying whatever comes out of your ass?
So valorant is harder because it relies less on gunplay and it’s more unpredictable meaning less skill is involved? Ok
Didnt u technically prove him right? Meaning even if ur better at aiming u can still lose to util…
@@wwcrystal7807 which means less skill is involved. Things that require less skill = easier. Do I really have to spell this out?

I'd say difference of valo and cs is also how easy it is to identify an enemy
I can say astra -90 and someone sees astra, they can be confident that shes -90
In cs you can -90 and no one can know who tf is that -90 person

Cs is only harder because you have to learn line ups and theres no dog or drones to clear angles, no bird or dizzy flashes
if you played CS you would understand lineups takes no serious skill lol. Aim and IQ is what makes CS pro scene harder to get into than Valorant pro scene.
@@dazy5499yea and u don’t even really need lineups to win or need them at all
Dizzy is useless, and the dog too if ur hiding in a corner just tell ur team to spam the dog that’s in the smoke but still they all do a lot still but it’s not as useful as u think
@@jagason7494 dizzy litterally gives easy info, clears angles automatically even if the enemy shoots it, it gives away the position, same with the dog, use where you heard the enemy shoot it as super easy info.
@@dazy5499 yea i know line ups they are easy but you have to be in The line up spot for it to work meanwhile you can put a smoke anywhere you feel like basically in valorant. Takes far less skill to place a smoke and half the player base is still bad at controller role

Mastering utility < Mastering positioning
what? Those go hand in hand. I can't tell if you're kidding
It's not like there's no positioning in valo
Gun mechanics in CS are wayyyy harder, while game IQ and understanding are wayyy more unforgiving in Valo
As cs player, valorant is easier when i tried it, i was just one taping everyone with vandal, it felt so easier to aim. I was top fragging without using abilities
Of course you would do that, because you would be playing with Irons, when you switch games, how do you expect to get players with your CSGO elo? For example a CS MG1 can destroy iron to silver lobbies in valorant easily, but to get to plat elo, you might need to play more, where you might find it challenging when people start using abilities effectively. Also this is just an example, I don't know what your rank is in CS.
@@jazzyjazzy903bro I was a dmg peak in cs then hopped on faceit and grinned mythic league until I was like lvl 7. Valo literally promotes brain dead plays with the abilities like jett reyna even like skye that shit is so ez just use ur abilities to counter their push it’s not that hard. A single skye flash can fuck up their entire push if yk how to play correctly
@@hunterlee8554 How many games you played to reach immortal approx? Also a lot of immortals expect a Skye flash and nobody rushes in brain dead atleast in immortal lobbies.
Cs2 i dont have teammates screaming at me and its so fun compared to the hell of Valorant
The difficulties in valo is that its confusing, in cs its things that your teammates do thata confusing
in cs you are all equal and same equipment. There's no support , duelist , etc. there's no bs like revive , flying enemies , teleportation
CS feels like your gun reactions are more important; where as, Val is very dependent on playing off your abilities.
As well as, being able to move a little bit and still hit a shot in CS vs forced stopping to hit a shot in Val, even at point blank range.
My reason for enjoying cs more is because it leaves room to the psychological game without the extra abilities sabotaging locations and etc.
atleast tenz is self aware... he knows why valorant sucks balls, as a matter of fact he articulated it quite well
Csgo is more mechanically hard in terms of aim and movement etc but understanding valorant in game sense is more difficult as there r more factors to account for

Edit: I guess you could call me the master baiter.
ex valorant player: valorant is harder, doesnt mean its more fun. i end games feeling exhausted lmao
And if you're actually playing at a decent level in cs, the enemy team knows how to throw a proper execute and you know how to play antiflash and bait and switch with your team, the gap between the average Valorant player and the average cs player is huge.
You can do the same in Valorant
More complex does not equal more difficult. Cs requires way more mechanical skill to play at a high level, no crutches, its way harder to be good. Valorant is more of a first person strategy game than anything (makes sense considering the developer) so its alot more complex it that way, but if you say cs is easier to reach a decent rank you are delusional.
Utility. Utility is whats killing the game. 5 players with 4 abilities each means youre dodging almost 20 abilities anchoring a site alone sometimes.
It feels like a death sentence, and def not fun
He’s not gonna lie guys
Harder or not is depending on the opponents
Both games are fun
Lets not forget that in valorant, defenders are also able to use abilities. Lets not forget Tenz doesn't play the ability-heavy agents, so of course holding sites would be hell for him. This isnt even considering the fact that Tarik switched because he wanted to, Tenz had no other choice, that alone should say who's opinion is stronger
I can't believe people think Valorant is harder when abilities do like half the work for you. Even playing for info is so much harder in CS cause you don't have recon abilities and you have to take way more risks
100% agreed. Most people will say cs is harder, but I think valorant is harder because of what tenz said
cs go = skilled players valorant = players that use skills
They are both fun but the ability for sure make valorant pretty hard, but that's the beauty in it
That literally just makes valorant easiser because you could be on the opposing team of what he just said and flashing and getting easy entry into people
Damn. I tried cs2 the other day and i miss csgo. I feel like the walking mechanics and the shooting feels like im floating too much
what makes valorant hard to play is because of the agent mechanics and utilities. the concept of the game is easy, but the agents is a different thing
Who would have guessed no lifing a game for years on end would make you not like it
I think people are misunderstanding tenz here he isn't saying valorant is better he is saying its frustrating cause as a cs player it would genuinely piss people off like there is nothing to do with skill and that's not how a fps should be its basically ow
me too went back to rainbow six couple days ago and its so refreshing and chill💀
As shroud said “ valorant is harder in strat wise but cs is harder mechanics wise”
There is a reason why mid cs players were good in val
-tenz, failed csgo pro turned valorant pro.
Harder doesnt mean it takes more skill tho
It’s harder to move and shoot in cs yea but Valo’s mental stack is an absolute monster. You just can’t account for everything, there’s too many variables that have synergies with each other. I think CS2 completing the rps loop with nades affecting smoke is a step towards that I think, and valve talking about adding weapons sounds like they want to have more of that
tenz forgets that u can tp away, or your team can do the exact same shit
As shroud said cs is jarder mechanically but valorant is harder strategically or something like that i dont remember the exact 2nd half of it
i play both regularly… cs is by far much more difficult than valorant personally
But more strategic options makes it easier
The thing abt CS thats better than Valo is that in CS, your nades are capped. You could have 10 flashes max, and 5 smokes per team, where in Valorant you have characters that have up to 3 of each. You have to learn harder lineups for CS, and Valorant has crutch characters for every play style.
In csgo you get shit by a awp before you know what happened. Harder and simple about it.
Honestly, I find them both fun.
except you can get naded without knowing instead of hearing FIRE IN THE HOLE at 130dB in your headphones
Tarik and Tenz used to be in pro cs teams. Before Val hope some people not shocked lol
man’s never sat defending site in cs when the other team throws 5 flashes 5 mollys 5smokes and 5 nades at you while it’s just you and your boy lol. That shit is terrifying hahaha
Lol this is literally my complaint every time on valo im not used to get ult by 3 characters then double flashed by pheonix then triple flashed
My friend who has played both Valorant and CS for the same amount of time busts heads in immortal and top frags almost 90 percent of the time but in CS against LEs he consistently bottom or mid frags
Valorant is quite literally CS with added content. That content mostly makes the game easier.
As a former cs player like Tarik and TenZ(Well.. CS Condition Zero), I'd say it's still harder than val😂😂
it’s not harder when everyone has their own set of abilities lol
I dont think people understand what tenz means. Valorant is not harder, because its so hard to learn, its harder because of all the utilities, that can get thrown at you, without you having a fair chance to fight back. Sometimes you get killed, even tho you didnt play bad. Its sometimes frustrating learning valorant as a cs player, because people of al the utilities, that makes a fight often uneven. In CS everybody got the same abilities and utilites, its the raw skill that matters. Map awareness, strategical thinking, aim, crosshair placement, utility usage.
Valorant is just random chaos on tiny bomb sites with one box to hide behind. It’s so easy my grandma could use the phantom
Bold of you to assume your grandma is still alive 😂
remember that most top valorant pros are not even in tier 1 csgo. but tenz is right tho. first time playing valorant after playing cs for a long time is very confusing. like idek wtf vulnerability means after playing for a year and my broken english didnt help much either. but after learning the basics and learning what different agents do it is actually easier to play than cs.
Valorant players wish they had talent like CS players. Abilities are such a crutch in games like Valorant that aim just isn’t even important.
Ah yes because random variables totally make a game “harder”
While chess has the most basic moves but is considered the hardest game
Valorant may be harder to learn than csgo because there’s a lot going on, but it’s not harder competition wise.
CS:GO: You need to be precise.
CS2: Hold wasd for free kills.
I enjoy both, when ever either game gets under my skin I just swap to another one.
why cant these people just agree to the fact that Valorant is harder strategically and CS is harder mechanically
Of course the none of the cs players in these comments understood what he said, understanding anything is way beyond an average cs player's mental capacity
CS requires real skill and knowledge rather than luck though and superpowers
