You know what would be funny if they did a follow up series to Home Improvement like they did to Full House calling it Fuller House you know like seeing what happened to Tim and Jill and the boys now that would be interesting to see.
In December and January I show my teenage nephew Home Improvement DVDs. His said they were funny. I today, "family" show were more family friendly and funny.
I remember listening to the news updates about his flight when I was driving a truck. That was a great loss to golf and humanity. He seemed like a genuine class act.
I had forgotten that Payne Stewart had made an appearance on Home Improvement. He was a hell of a golfer and had more major championships in his future if he hadn't been killed in that plane crash. RIP Payne Stewart
He was the guy Jill was dreaming about in that episode since she was attracted to him. The episode is called ''Jill's Passion'', in case you want to watch it :)
Aw so sad, one of the funniest things that I saw during the shooting of this show was the very tiny, no nonsense script lady. She would get right in Tim's face, like 3 inches from him and give him hell when ever Tim went off script. This happened all the time when ever Tim made a comment that was more funny than the script. Often Tim's screwed up line was what went on air in the final cut.
Reportedly, Tim and Patricia's feud started during the production of season 7. But their interaction on-screen had already become very tense since season 4. There was always tension because it was always about whether the cast was happy with their roles. Tim didn't think the show was funny enough and Patricia wanted more power on the show. She wanted more say about how her character was being written and who was gonna direct the show. And she wanted more and more money than she already had. You see when the actors don't get along on the set, it becomes visible on-screen. The scenes are far more underwhelming than on the script. And the emotional scenes between Tim and Patricia were always very ineffective. But the fight scenes between them since season 4 felt way too real. It's like they were fighting for real in front of the camera. When the actors have issues on the set, it inevitably effects how they perform together in front of the camera. Charmed TV series is one of the primary examples of this. The cast never got along on the set and it was extremely visible in their scenes.
brugglesby Ahhh little update on how US sitcoms work: When a national treasure of a comedian gets his own show, you bet it is. There's no real need to explain, also since the closing line _Based on the stand-up comedy of Tim Allen_ comes up about forty times in this credits collection.
I've seen several Home Improvement blooper clips and always wondered why do all the bloopers happen when the credits are running? Don't they ever mess up later in the show?
Tim allens laugh is the most contagious laugh
probably one of the best sitcoms of the past 30 years...
Up there with Married with Children, Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air imo.

The "Hey! I don't go for that sort of thing!" guy must be getting tired of that line...
Polly Holliday was a perfect cast for Jill's mother.
I had forgotten that Payne Stewart had made an appearance on Home Improvement. He was a hell of a golfer and had more major championships in his future if he hadn't been killed in that plane crash. RIP Payne Stewart

Not to mention LMS makes tonnes of references to Home Improvement.
