I like to think that Oogway was able to rehabilitate Tai Lung, Shen and Kai in the afterlife, hence why Tai Lung while still a bit of an ass is considerably less so
I like how the movie creators pretty much used tai lung as the bait for the movie The trailers made it look like he had an important role, when in reality, his role was minor compared to the main plot
I am disappointed tai lung didn’t play a bigger role in this film. He deserves his redemption arc and if not then a solo movie. He is one of the few characters with a compelling backstory and motive. Overall I had too much expectations for this film.
People say they didn't like Tai Lung as a comedic role, but none of us knew who Tai Lung used to be before he became China's most feared prisoner. This could've very well have been who Shifu raised before he felt betrayed.
Plus, he did have a sense of humor during his debut in the first movie. Sure, he was more serious than comical but he was never a character who would not joke around at times.
Absolutely ruined his character, turned him into comedic effect. They played it so safe and so cliche, chameleon brings back ALLLLL the villains, including the guy who literally ceases to exist in both realms. And then they just become comedic spectators
I don't mind it but I hate how Kai and Shen don't speak in the movie or interact with each other along with Tai Lung. It would have been cool if all of Po's enemies fought alongside him to defeat Chameleon.

I wished Tai Lung had an interaction with Shifu or gave Zhen some wisdom before returning to the Spirit Realm.

@@Knowledge00856 exactly! Fans even wrote comics and fan fics of him and Tigress as siblings, which he always had comedic moments.
Ok I appreciate the respect he gives to Po but come on a little reunion or reconciliation with Shifu would’ve been perfect.
I am actually surprised he got to interact with Po.

To be fair, he became a comedic character when he fought Po and he totally made Tai Lung looked like a joke. Tai Lung seems mellowed down here.
