+A Gill Not a whole lot of hard and fast rules, but it mostly comes down to added sugar during mixing. A liquor doesn't add any sugar (though the flavorings they add might have some), while liqueurs add a generous amount of sugar, usually in the form of simple syrup. Liqueurs are sweet, sticky, and thick, liquors are not. I don't think that WM bothered with the distinction when making this list, as they had Bailey's as an honorable mention.

Sinatra wasn't a Chivas fan as you said, but rather nearly a lifelong Jack Daniels drinker. In fact your Jack Daniels piece even shows images of Old Blue Eyes. He was true to just three things: Jack Daniels, Camels cigarettes, and Ava Gardner.

BAcardi is not limited to only white rum, whereas captain Morgan is usually always spiced rum. White just means unaged, or aged for a short time then filtered thru charcoal or other things to remove color and make it clear
Johnnie Walker didn't produced their own whisky until much later. They used to (and still do for some of their products) buy cheaper alternatives from small distilleries and carefully selected wich ones to use and how. They've been criticized due to the inconsistency and the highest quality version they offered at a time (blue label) was considered to be an overpriced inflated alternative compared to other brands.

i used to be a scotch snob and turn my nose up at JW but after thousands of dollars worth of single malts i can say that JW is good value the black and green labels anyway

I agree with other comments finding the absence of Crown Royal odd.
Chivas & Johnnie are blended Scotches, which in the opinion of many, are inferior to single malts. Glenfiddich or The Glenlivet would have been better choices.

My favorite liquor brand is koskenkorva. But I think that you can only get it from Finland. I really love Koskenkorva Salmiakki ;) Everyone should taste it if they ever visit Finland.

I was going to mention the same fact. I was re-reading an article about his son and one of his jobs before each concert: make sure there was a carton of camel straits/filters (I’m not sure which) And a fresh bottle of Jack Daniels black. I am positive about that!

Back when I was a young man and drank alcohol, beer mostly. I would drink a mixed drink from time-to-time. Of the drinks listed on this list, Tangueray Gin was the one drink I proceeded to get the most wasted on ever. Jack Daniels I could never stand the taste. The smell alone makes me gag. However, my most favorite was J&B, which I didn't drink much. I've not drank a single drink of alcohol in over 5 years.
Me being a person who enjoys scotch double black is my best choice followed by chivas regal

It takes on average 8 years for an agave tequila plant to mature and be harvested and an extra few years for the tequila to age. How long does it take to produce rum, whisky, vodka, cognac or brandy??

My top 3 most memorable are zwartekip bols end Bombay (I am Dutch)
Jack Daniel's should've been Number One. The mellowness from the charcoal gives it a perfect balance of not too smoky and not too sweet, but plenty of fire to feel and a lot of sweet flavors and notes of vanilla/caramel/oranges/maple/charcoal; thereby giving it a unique flavor from their unique ingredients in a beverage that's almost reminiscent to bourbon.
It's not about the taste, it's about the popularity. Most of the liquor in this video taste like crap. Jose Cuervo and Captain Morgan are absolute piss. Smirnoff and Absolut are the worst mid-shelf vodkas ever, you could find superb Polish and Russian vodkas for even cheaper than that. Jameson made me gag the first time I tried it, and Johnnie Red tastes like medicine.
Johnnie black, chivas regal, JD and makers mark are fine, but you could still find better stuff if you don't judge the book by it's cover. Same thing for Hennessy.

johnny walker (and I'm only talking red label here) is one of the most famous (though not as famous as jack imo) but it's considered absolute trash in the whiskey community :D

Sure, I can casually enjoy it from time to time, but I still think there are better blends out there than the typical (and commercial) Johnnie Walker & Jack Daniels. Just my two pennies. :)
It wasn't about quality though, but recognition, and in that context I think JW is an appropriate pick, even though it's not even close to "the best damn scotch ever" as they say in the video. I personally don't like it at all, I think Maker's Mark beats it by a mile and a half for the same price any day (at least the price in Europe, don't know the comparison in North America).

Absolut is the only one for me. I'm proud of Absolut, and i don't just say that as a Swede, but as someone who loves alcohol. I do however tend to drink too much, and my liver ain't feelin' so good. I don't buy alcohol that often, but when i do, i often gulp down too much at the same time. I often drink half a 700 milliliter bottle everytime i drink. Don't ask me how i'm not dead. I'm somehow just alive, and i'm thankful for that

I checked on Wikipedia after the Cuban revolution they expanded their operations to Mexico , Puerto Rico (I been to one of the Warehouse HUGE) and of course their Headquarters in the island of Bermuda.😆
