I love how hard Calafiori was trying so hard to impress. We have to remember he is 22 years old and this is his first big move. He just wants to give his all and make us fans proud of him. I love it ❤❤. He'll adapt soon.

I don’t know about this season. Ppl need to back off and allow him to grow up. He is 22 and barely played much top flight. He will start 20 to 25 games maybe depending on injuries in our backline. Think he was bought more for what he will do at age 24 age 26. Too much hype and expectations for our players does not help them at all. He has been called Maldini too much. Even Saliba is not Maldini. Yet 😉

Happy with what I saw from him- he's very positionally aware, closely marks opponents, strong in tackling and technically good, as he has no problem inverting into the CM role. He'd be amazing in the future.

@@netweed09 well we did finish last season with the 2nd most goals in the league to City and broke our clubs record for most goals in a season both last season and the season before that. Would be great to improve even more in attack but it’s hardly a massive issue like you make out.

im liking calafiori even tho its pre season and first game for Arsenal and his first match, still time to adapt to arteta way but no doubt he pick it up quick, for someone as tall as him he has really good pace, cant wait to see him during the season fully fit and buch of games under his belt

yes, he is more reliable in defense than Zinchenko. But Zinny gives more pressure in attack so i am glad that we have two excellent defenders. We can switch them when whe need to push or attack more

a real unsung signing. once he gets used to his teammates he will become so important for us in tight games when we need to regain control of the ball. he works hard chases down and tries to get moves started from the back the typical Dunga type player that goes unnoticed how important they are to the team.
