Thank you for posting these vids, just what I need this summer. I used to have a slip in Clear Lake. If you paddle a bit down Stoney Lake and take a left turn. There are many little islands you could have pitch a tent for free and some privacy.
Thanks, good to know. Considering I didn't get to take advantage of the restaurant in Burleigh Falls, I probably wouldn't have been missing much if I had camped on one of those islands that night.
Although you didn’t find much accomplishment in DAY6 it was probably my favourite so far.... every day has had something particular that I enjoyed but the morning fog on day six was by far my favourite. Thankfully you were in shelter while the storm came but hopefully it wasn’t too strong and dangerous that you couldn’t keep yourself safe.
We watched to the end...excellent dramatic conclusion. Loved the footage taken during the fog and then the calm water and sunny skies when it cleared. Too bad there wasn't much to see in Burleigh Falls on your 'day off'.
Man you really need to start checking ahead when you go to places like that restaurant.. always call ahead man. I’ve been so screwed not doing that! Ended up eating out of a vending machine and “camping” in a ditch down the road from the completing booked campground lol! It’s even more of a pain now due to covid. Some places say their hours online but are often wrong
It was a disappointment to discover that they were closed, but certainly not the end of the world as I was always carrying other packaged food that I could eat instead. I knew it was a gamble whether or not that place would be open or closed, I just never would have expected that they'd close at 6pm since it's right in the middle of the time that people normally eat.
You must have some greater appreciation for the voyageurs who came before you. Very enjoyable to watch . You have a gift for making videos.
Yes absolutely, and they certainly didn't have the benefit of the locks!
I think this was the prettiest leg of your trip so far. The fog on the lake and the skies afterwards were really beautiful.
Ya, I agree. The weather made for some very scenic photography. Thank you.

That morning fog was a highlight for me as well! Thank you.
Omg you are brave. I would get lost up there or feel very disoriented. Love these videos.
Thanks. I found my GPS extremely helpful on this trip.
A very nice day for canoeing. Glad you still had some rest that day. We all need to reenergize at times. Looking forward to day 7.
Thanks. It was also nice that day getting to spend some time out of the canoe doing some hiking on Wolf Island.

Thanks. It was definitely one of the most beautiful, of many beautiful early morning starts.

Wow keep safe
Yup, for sure!
👍
Thanks :)
A fishing pole or wood carving knife might have provided you with some entertainment. Or you could have run the rapids...
