    Great playing, so smooth.

Great to actually hear the differences in the mix for a change! The '62s fill in so much more nicely both in terms of a subtle compression and frequency response in relation to the drums.

62's have that nice low mid bump. I'd be rollin' with them.....nice playing!

that ceramic one sounds pretty good actually. or it is due to flatwounds that makes everything sweeter. i also chose fender original '62. to replace fender mim ceramic and the difference was much more radical.

Very good sound from this bass, 62... I have a Fender PJ original1969 model , not so bad...

Seems like the Fenders were fuller, warmer, and had better harmonic overtones, but the ceramics had a nice growl. If it were my bass with the ceramics, I wouldn’t see or hear the need to change them.

Yeah agreed, personally prefer the Fenders but equally nothing "wrong" with the ceramics.

The only reason to change would be if you couldn't replicate the 62's sound w a good preamp.

I like the P-Bass with a J-neck. My favorite combination!

Maybe the fender one is more precise and warm. But the no name is not that bad. What do you feel when you play the bass ?
    Thank you for this comparison.

Yeah I agree, the no-name wasn’t bad at all. The ‘62s are definitely more balanced and tighter sounding, and the highs aren’t as brittle as with ceramic magnets. Glad you liked it and thanks!

Are you sure it was ceramic? Doesn't sound like ceramic pickup are all. Great neck

Yeah I’m sure, asked a Luthier as well for a second opinion. Cheers
