    Hoya Carnosa krimson queen care, blooms, and propagation. if you are a Hoya head like me, you would know that it takes a very long time for Hoya carnosa to bloom. it will not bloom for you until it is a mature plant. It took my plant almost 5 years to bloom. it was definitely worth waiting for 😊.

    They look great and beautiful blooms!! These are the two (Queen and Princess) of the “popular” Hoyas that I don’t have, but I don’t have much more room for more plants anymore, lol!! I’ll enjoy seeing yours!!
    Thank you for sharing and it’s great to see you back! 💜💚🪴🌵

      @@ElenasGreenPlanet I’ve been wondering about that myself!! I have a succulent, Haworthia Metuca, that I just separated and it has 6 babies!! I don’t need that many of them!! I have friends coming over on the 30th for a crafting get together and I’m thinking about giving them away if anyone wants them. Because really, it’s being sold for $6.49 online at Mountain Crest Gardens where I buy my succulents, so I guess I could charge $10 to cover shipping, (my Etsy shop has free shipping as that was recommended to me) but is someone going to pay $10 for a succulent? Oh well, I’ll see what happens on the 30th and then go from there I guess…

      Yes it is a lot! I did not even realized that I had that many. I only counted them because I was putting a list together with all Hoyas I have in alphabetical order. It was definitely shocker to me. I guess it’s very easy to end up with so many Hoya‘s because you can only purchase them when they are so tiny and they don’t really take up too much space for a while. I think I might not buy any Plants for a while and just enjoy ones I have 😊💚

      @@ElenasGreenPlanet YES I too am pretty much on a no buy for awhile. Awaiting a box of cuttings from a friend in a not planned plant trade. just sent her a plant and she decided she needed to send me more cuttings. She has some amazing hoyas. was just in my master bath making hanging spaces for the ones she sent me earlier. so enjoyed rooting them and now they are in the smaler size clear cup but sitting inside larger cups as cover pots. IT will be a long time before I need t wrry about creating rea space for them. I did share several other plants with a lady in town to move them off my shelves. I a seriously only keeping the plants I really love.

      @@catherinestugmyer4449 I have seen somebody talking about it on social media but I don’t really know what it is and I hope we never have to deal with it. I know red spider mites could be a problem for Hoyas and I would think you can treat them the same way as a regular spider mites. If you want send me picture on Instagram maybe I can try to find something about it.

      I could not believe I had that many either. I wouldn’t say I’m proud 🫣🤣. We buy them so tiny it’s so easy to end up with too many Hoyas. I enjoy talking about common plants that anyone can find and afford. I feel there is a lot of focus on the next hot plant, and beautiful common plants don’t get much attention. 145 is a lot I don’t even know how many other plants have. I started to feel a little overwhelmed when I take care of them. I think right number of plans is as many we can take care of and not get overwhelmed. Otherwise it becomes a job not a hobby. 😊💚

So I think I will not buy the small starters anymore....yes I too get overwhelmed in spurts and esp this fall when I bring in the ones outside and have to find room.....!!! So hopefully I will trickle them in little by little but....it usually does not happen that way....so I will have to set up something maybe in the basement...I was thinking...but think it would be too cold....yes I love common plants and rare....all plants I love....but I need to get more selective too what will give me lasting joy with not alot of work! It could be a lot of different factors but I think the main one in my experience is the lighting. Hoyas that do not sun-stress tend to get very pale in too much light.

    • @ElenasGreenPlanet
      @ElenasGreenPlanet  Год назад +1

      I have two of those that you see in the video, one is my favorite clone, and the one that bloomed for me is not as pretty. Prettiest one that haven’t bloomed for me yet, I did not take any cuttings. But one that bloomed, I just chopped it up to pieces, it had flat mites and I’ve been treating for it, but since it was so large, I had a hard time getting rid of them so I chopped it up and propagating those cuttings right now. My pretty clone, I’m thinking to take some cuttings since I really like that one and I’m terrified to lose it.
      I was thinking if I have extra cuttings, I might list it on eBay at some point. I will let you know if it happens. I’m just not sure if I want to have a third job 😂.
