When you set install your dampener, slide the rings a couple feet down from it and then put it in. It will be so much easier for anyone using it for the first timers I've had this stove for quite a while and love it

Buddy, first time I rolled my stove pipe in the wild, it ended up looking like the thrown away tinfoil wrap from my sandwich. This technique works great.

KUDOs with that chimney rolling! I just picked up the Danchel Titanium for a second stove and going to try your method on this new pipe since my first stove pipe was a BEAST and ended up with a couple of crinkles in it! Thanks for the tutorage! Jeff

Might be a good idea to pack an extra pair of gloves in your stove pouch and leave em there just for that purpose.

Seems that pipe "blued up"nicely. Like to see it on a full dress run to see how many BTU's it pushes👍 , and if it'll smoke ya out?

Why are you rolling your pipe? I have a danchel pipe and I dont need to roll it twisted. I just roll it open and it automatically rolls up. Initially i used a pool noodle to roll it then did a first burn in to memorize the shape.

Couldn't you just leave it rolled up and pull down from the center to stretch it out?

Nope unfortunately this is really hard to work with and very sharp most people won’t set it up unless they have two people. This is the best way I find to set it up solo

How much wood do you use in a night? (In volumes of the stove) Do you pack the stove full of wood before going to sleep? I'm planning a first use this weekend. Thanks.

I burned a fair bit of wood the last time out (check out my last hot tent video) I’d fill the stove up and wake up every hour and a half to refill but it was -22 and I had a problem with the stove as well. I burned at least 2 full sticks of wood but I cut 4. Hope this helps and good luck this weekend

I got this one on Amazon but if I’m being honest check out my hot tent videos using this stove it’s very unsafe and I’ve since bought another stove. Thanks for watching

@@newfiecountryboyoutdoors6523 WOW! That stove video was very disturbing I am glad you gave me your honest opinion I almost made a mistake. I guess I will keep my Small Kni-co wood stove it might be bulky but is very sturdy and safe.
