    Position your panels for worst case scenario - that being the pit of winter (dec 21st).
    Dont require the charge controller - bluetti does that for you
    you can hook up panels parallel (positive to positive, negative to negative) and will keep same voltage (Your unit supports 12V to a maximum of 60V). so, in parallel it will stay at 12V but your wattage will increase going in. Safest bet for that short distance (You can hook up in series but that will increase voltage)

      Thanks for the info Chuck this is definitely going to be a learning experience for me for sure.

      Yeah the danger with hooking in series is the possibility of exceeding the voltage limit because voltage adds and depending on the solar panels voltage may vary , I have a cheep one that was in a sxs that I bought and Ive measured over 20 V out with no load on it only meter , at least in parallel , your voltage will.never be higher than the highest panel output. But you will get more power. If I was close I'd go with you just for the experience because while I spent a lot of time with DC power I never with solar panels and I'd like to learn more. GOOD LUCK.

    Thanks for sharing! Sometimes things don't always go as planned. But we always believe that something good is about to happen, maybe in the next second, or tomorrow. look forward to your honest review after the season!

    Hey Bud ! I read some comments I think they will help you :) Couple 100w panels & get them up so you don't have to chase the sun , Mine are a little bigger & i have them on my roof :) awesome meal in the woods !

    I have three 100 watt panels spliced together and wires going to a 30 amp charge controller and then the wires come from controller to a 10 battery bank and then two 12 gauge wires go to inverter where I run an extension cord to cabin for electricity. Hope this helps a bit. Also been using this same system for about three years now with same panels and batteries!!

    Harbor freight has a hub you can plug 4 panels into rated at 400 watts

    Hello my buddy , you don’t need to use a charge controller,it’s all built into your bluetti, you need a 20 foot mc4 awg 10 extension cable, get 2 100 watt panels ,we are using Renogy panels ,and they come with Mc4 connectors ,plug and play ,all this will fit your adapter that come with the Bluetti , we find it works good and a little cheaper ,all the best .enjoy your videos

    • @cabinstuff
      @cabinstuff 4 месяца назад +1

      This is Ron again ,should mention you need to plug the 100 watt panels in series,plug the negative of one panel to the positive of the other panel ,then the wires left will be positive and negative will plug into the extension cable and to the bluetti red to red black to black.Use the 40 watt panels on something else , you need to keep your wattages all the same or close .

      Thanks Ron I appreciate the info tho not in the video I did learn after that the bluetti has a built in controller but i think you just figured out my problem I was hooking it up parallel and it needs to be in series. I am going to give it a try May 24 weekend. Thanks again

    Hey there! Sorry I have not knowledge on that stuff. I was just thinking if you could get your hands on a couple big equipment batteries you could gear your solar panels to them . Just a suggestion. Be better than listening to the generator til you got the other system geared up

  • @cabinstuff
    @cabinstuff 4 месяца назад +1

    We have a Bluetti and you don't need their solar panels to make it work. We have 4 Renogy 100 watt panels to ours. You buy the connectors from Amazon cheap. My husband is an electrician but asleep right now while I'm watching this lol or I'd have a lot more info for you. It's easy to figure it out though. Should find info on RUclips, you'll save yourself a lot of money.

    You don't use the charge controller in between the solar panel and solar generator. Solar generator has charge controller built in them.
    You'll find the matching cords online that'll connect your panels to the solar generator

      Some solar generators need a certain amount of watts (voltage) to work properly. @@newfiecountryboyoutdoors6523

    I'm going to find myself in the market soon for a system, but I am sure hoping to find something more plug and play as I don't have the mind to try and figure things out. Hoping to have something for camping this summer. Got a beauty of a day with sunshine, so hopefully all will get sorted out!

    That wiring makes no sense to me. A straight connection from one controller to the LED won't light, but the LED directly on the controller works. Then the wire from the drill battery works, so the wire adapter is not the issue. Gremlins I say. LOL . Best approach would be to get your multi meter and see what is positive and negative out of that controller and start from there I say. Too bad you did not have it with you that day. Thanks for the shout out buddy. Appreciate that. Glad you like the coasters, good to see the young fellow up enjoying the cabin with you. The feed always looks delicious. Take care

      Thanks skipper the coasters are awesome and that’s my next step bring my multimeter from the ol tool box and figure it all out lol

  • @tuckerandi

    Just looking at what you had done wiring the output of the two controllers in parallel to feed to the Bluetti I thought it should work, or I think that's what you did some times just have to be there lol. Looking at some diagrams on line the solar panels are wired in parallel and fed into one controller and the one controller is used to feed the battery or this case the Bluetti.
    Now having said this I've never wired up a solar panel but just going on what I know about power and batteries and what I saw in some reading online. Definitely have to use a mult meter and make sure the polarity along the way would help for sure, good luck with it, great video BTW.
