  • The apostle Peter warned early Christians to be alert for false teachers among them, using examples from Scripture to illustrate the reality and inevitability of judgment for those who rebel against God. In this message by Alistair Begg, we learn about the strategy, impact, and destiny of those who would lead God’s people astray. As believers hold fast to the truths of His Word, we can have confidence in His sovereign power to keep us safe for eternity.

So thankful for this message! God is still on the throne and He will remember His own. A chorus we sang years ago, and He is faithful to this day.

It turns Calvin and Augustine upside down, but not the Bible. Biblical sovereignty, the way God teaches it, not Calvinist sovereignty, the way the pagan fatalists, the gnostic Manichaeans, and Augustine (he changed the doctrine to fit the gnostics, from his prior, Biblical doctrine, when he was old) told it.
The sovereign God, according to the Bible:
"It is not the will of the Father that one of these little ones perish".
"Come, let us reason together. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as wool. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be white as snow".
