    Was "Born in 1968" and I love this year of the car as CAMARO . LoL it's 52 years old. Love the gills on the quarters, reminds me of the Shark.

    Awesome build. Thx for the incredibly thorough montage of the project. LOVE THE FINAL LOOK AND STANCE - just confirms for me that hugger orange is the ONLY colour. Again congrats on a fantastic creation.

    Awsome!!! The trunk lid, tail panel, and passenger quarter gap at the end of this video is awful, it happens to be the same as mine! I don't have ocd but it's driving me crazy, lol.

    Bad to the bone , brings back memory's of Jim Loveall 69, 427 Camaro, Not with high tech a this one is, but all that was available to all in the 70's , ended up with twisted frame even after being boxed ! Love your build here, impressive you took all the right precautions on clutch and exhaust 2 of the main fails of most !

      John Brookbank That's no 70's BIG BOOST

    • @johnbrookbank2969
      @johnbrookbank2969 6 лет назад

      Yep I know it= took Jim over a year to build it and it was 600 hp 427 when done , even took eng to LA dragster builders (3 brothers) I believe= he drove it from from Sutherlin Oregon to have it blue printed and balanced along with all the latest installed = from what was out in 1970's he used cross ram 4 barrel= maxed out with high volume pump , not sure why I even rode in that car??? after a few times should have died = it would scare most to death ! when you spend thousands in the 70's you end up with one very fast 69, not sure why Jim didn't get into racing on track, poss the only guy I have seen that could drive on (drifts) at over 130plus as long as he did ! All in Douglas county knows of that car ! After we installed the tall gears 197 pos track , radar was new thing and state cops refused to chase him on freeway 2 times that I know of ! He disassembled it after 4 years on rd , said he had nightmares couple of time of coffin handles on Side of car ! would not sell it to anyone ! Would have to know Jim , he took 7 years of collage on Eng from basic to even Air craft ! After 4way by pass few years back, he has passed from what I know, but only hope I live to be his age ! RIP at age of 90 !

    Im positive that you commenters are wrong on the estimated cost of this build. The motor alone is 25,000+. Transmission that will hold up to 900+ lb/ft of torque? Go ahead and figure another 8-10 thousand. You are already at 35,000 and have no interior, no suspension, paint and bodywork (by the way, paint can be VERY expensive depending on what you use), electrical components......the list goes on and on. Long story short.....80,000. Maybe 100,000 after a guy has put that much work into it. If this was your car, how much would a guy have to offer YOU to let it go?

    • @blue72nova
      @blue72nova 3 года назад +1

      Yup. I am one of the people in the video above. (Friend of the owner and helped a lot over the years with the build). The cost is above that 80,000 mark and rightfully so for all the things required for a build of this level.

    • @will69camaro
      @will69camaro 3 года назад

      As @Bigbronco said below; you're pretty close on a lot of the build. Motor/trans, etc. Turbo kit was quite expensive. Suspension is all Detroit Speed ($$$). Wheels etc. Parts cost is above $100k.

    That 9" is nice but not nesscessary. In my 69 camaro i have a 640hp/680tq 572 Dart big m with a 1970 nova 8.5" 10 bolt. It has yukon forged axle shafts 31 spline with a forged yukon posi with 308 gears and its holding up just fine. Iv beat on with all that 572 has to offer and it still looks brand new inside and it cost about $700. Just sayin

    • @user-rk5ub6lm6e
      @user-rk5ub6lm6e 6 лет назад +1

      Difference is this combo more than likely makes 650 at the wheels turned all the way down. The 9'' is necessary.
