Good times! For ideas, I'd enjoy seeing more of the trails in the area, riding or just waking doesn't really matter, animal signs, lay of the land, wild edibles, identifying plants and animals in the area, little fishing holes... Always enjoy the boil up of course. Cheers!

As long as you are having a good time the size of the fish really do not matter to much. I have a trout lake I go to here in Northern Ontario and most are about the same size as you guys were catching. Fun to catch and a great way to spend a day out on the lake.

Hi from southern Ontario. Great videos and hope you do well fishing - obviously the beginning of this video. Suggestion : May I suggest finish insulating the ceiling, even before replacing the side door. That will keep the heat inside in the winter and the heat out during the summer.

Great video Bob ! Any size trout is delicious trout ! Lol. Couple ideas for you. The cabin and plans for it. Necessities for you to get to it and things you bring each trip for a stay. How far is it from a main road and your plans to get to it once the sled is put away. Things needed aside from the Stihl while you’re there like the heavy duty dog sled and Coleman fuel etc. few ideas for videos and those are things I like so just drawing from that. Really appreciate the regularity of your videos ! Take care Bob

Just a little tip, if you want you can take the fuel tank off your stove and heat up the very end of the generator with a lighter, you shouldn't get those yellow flames...At least it worked for us while out on winter exercise in the military...but we were in a tent so it was more of an issue then in a cabin.....Thanks for the video...

Hey, got a question for you. My family is within a couple years of being ready to leave the city (I grew up sharing time between city and country), and we have been looking at either north western Ontario, or Newbrunswick, but Newfoundland is so beautiful.
We’ve spent time in NB, and PEI, but we found the "islanders" to be sort of welcoming, but at the same time pretty darn closed to newcomers. In fact we had a few problems with that. What do you think they’re like out your way? It’s really the sort of life I’d like to live out there from what I’ve seen.

@@thenewfoundlandoutsider6354 Yeah, I’ve been there too. That would mean getting rid of almost everything I own for the move, and I’m not willing to do that. I’m close to the same age as you, and I don’t feel like starting over. Plus I don’t like grizzly bears. 🙂
You didn’t answer the important question though. In your opinion, are people out that way welcoming to new comers, or are we always "from away" like this stupid little islanders.
