I would say, if you go for primes, the 45mm and the 110mm are all you need for many types of photography. For wider, I would adapt some manual cheaper older lens

Never has a superficial rant at the end of a video so perfectly capture exactly how I feel about this channel 😅. Of course I watch the other reviews, but I LISTEN to yours.

Fujifilm GX line up still needs a 24 mm tilt-shift for architecture (18mm too wide for architecture coming from an architect due to distortion, one would end up doing significant cropping in PS)and a wider lens than 18mm for Landscape. To justify the bump over from Nikon's 14-24 2.8 (an F4 would work), they need a variable zoom as many landscape photographers are shooting this range. When this happens, pro architectural photographers will likely make the 15-20K investment for the 100S and lenses required for the new bar set by this camera system. Any inside info on their intent to make a TS?

Does the 1.4 TC work well with the 100-200? Fuji lists it only for the 250mm.

Hi. I've recently made the shift from Sony A7r3 to the GFX100s and have the 32-64 for landscapes.. but was thinking about the Voigtlander 50 f1.2 Nokton VM (which you highly recommended) for adaption as a walk around lens. but will this still run the IBIS even without knowing the focal length? I'm guessing that I can just set a button for 100% zoom in to help with focusing. but IBIS would be great. any thoughts would be great!!

What do you think, which lenses would be better for me, gfx 50s II user looking best quality for photo? Fujinon 110 f2 or voigtlander Apo Skopar 90mm?

I'm trying to decide which wide lens to go with my GF 45-100mm. I'll be shooting landscapes and cityscapes/architecture with it. I'm narrowing it down to the 23mm, or the upcoming 30mm tilt/shift lens. I'm a bit concerned with the potential for flare on the GF 30mm f/3.5, so I think I've ruled that one out, and with the slightly complex moustache distortion and softer corners of the 20-35mm I think I've ruled that one out as well. I also don't want to have too heavy a bag. Tilt/shift abilities for perspective and critical plane of focus control, and stitching panos without parallax errors makes me kind of tingly inside. But that 23mm goes wiiide. Both no doubt are expensive. I hope the 30mm tilt/shift is better with flare than the GF30. It seems like close focus isn't a strong point of any of these GF lenses, even their macro only goes to 1:2. I'll have to pick up that 18mm tube as you suggested. I love my 80mm X lens, but I want to shoot close with medium format too.

Is the 45mm prime suitable for small studio portraiture, in that there is no noticeable distortion?

So, any idea when OR "if" FF will commit to a T/S lens around the 23-34 range??? It's the final gold foil seal on the kit for me!

I'm a dentist and I do very intricate adhesive procedures, which I document using the X-T3 with the 80mm f2.8 - I am very active in the world of dental photography, and though I do not pretend to be the best, I can't believe how many dentists message me on a daily basis to ask why my macro photography looks so much better and sharper than their Canon/Nikon. I am literally the only one that I know of, out of a community of thousands, that uses a Fuji. Seems like the dentists who barely know how to shoot always have consumer model Nikon's, and then the "pro" dental photographers all think Canon is the pinnacle. The vast majority haven't even heard of Fujifilm 🙄 That being said, I've tried a few Canon and Nikon setups, and you are 100% correct. The 80mm is the supreme king of macro.

True about the XF 80mm F/2. I have used it for several years on X-H1, X-E3 and XT-4 bodies for a high detail catalog of coins, medals and other artifacts for museums and collections here in the UK for historical society database records. I am currently shooting arms (categories of weapons from medieval to modern day) to document the armarours and makers/manufacturers marks, insignia and serial numbers for a cross reference database. I shoot at F/4 and + 1 Sharpness and the results are exceptional (and recognized as such). I used to use a Canon 5D Mk II and Canon 100mm F/28 which was good, if a bit unwieldy. I've found that I can use the Fujifilm 80mm f2.8 hand-held and am delighted that I can get away with JPEG straight from the camera. In most cases post processing of RAW files is not required and this has speeded up my production ten fold. My Fujifilm images are equal to, if not better than my old Canon full frame images which I usually had tweak the contrast upon in order to make the markings and surface texture pop.

    I have the 100-200mm f5.6. Waiting on the 100s.
Do you think the ISO of the 100s will be enough to get around the limits of the f5.6?? I think the reason for the unbelievable images are due to the super low noise. Wondering if the f5.6 will hinder this?

For doing just product photography - specifically soft drink size - is it the 80mm Macro you mention as 'the best'. We've been using 100mm on FF, so wondering if the 80mm for the big sensor will be too wide. Use that macro extender? (Was heading toward the 120mm macro, but you spoke negatively about it...) Thanks for any additional input possible.
