Good catch Thanks Tim.
We need you in Washington DC next. drain that swamp too.
Great vid Tim. I always enjoy enjoy going along and seeing how you do it. Very kind of you to help this property owner with this incredible Beaver problem. Happy holidays to you and yours!
Good to help your "neighbor" and I like the fact you don't waste the animal. Thanks for sharing!
Nice harvest!
Nice job Tim
Thanks buddy. Got a few TS-85s with big pans on them for you. I'll bring them over in Jan.
That was a great haul for one night. Outstanding.
You’d make a great business being a travelling consultant.
Fascinating animals, Thanks for the education.
Great video, thanks
Yeap, beautiful animal's.. destructive too! If left unchecked Thousands of acres of land would be useless an No telling what the price of beans, rice, corn, beef ETC.. would be if these animal rights Pep's and veggies & vegan's had full power over the regular everyday Workin Man and his land management and Conservation practices !
God Bless America 🇺🇸, and You sir !
Good catches that was a good looking place to trap probably wouldn’t to good looking to land owner
One time, only once, I had a Wolf Fang pulled out by a 60 pound male. Surprised the heck out of me, I put it down to the hilt in pretty firm sand and roots. So now when I do bank sets around big beaver, I use 2 Wolf Fangs, in on 45° angles in different directions. This way there is no way to pull that out, even on the biggest beaver.
enjoyed the video
God Bless Alabama .
An ongoing challenge.
I noticed that you didn't use your secret weapon stand alone rods.
Me... I would have put them out everywhere first, then do my bank sets. Even in shallow water they would hold them there even if they didn't drown them. Those deep water rigs are magic, 30 or 40 of them would clean house. I catch more in deep water and even 4ft of water than I do on bank sets. Except cross overs and caster mounds, but those are spaced out a ways. The secret weapon is faster to set, and when you get done, put in as many bank sets as you have time for.
Me with my bad hip and fake knee, I can load up my canoe and lay waste to a lot of beaver in one night. Bring a canoe next time and see what I mean. 👍😁
Are you referring to his fiberglass poles with snares
Well how did those RBG traps work? I'd sure like to give them a try.
Caught 1 in the 440. Nothing in the 330.
What do you think of the 45 long Colt, with solid lead bullets, for dispatching snared/trapped animals as large as beavers & coyotes ?
22 short or suppressed subsonic 22lr to the brainstem are my go to cartridges for a trap line. 45 Colt is too much gun even with light loaded hardcasts, bigger holes in pelts and more hearing loss.
@@SturgellatOSUWhy does the snare not dispatch the beaver ?
I imagine in a self reliance situation u would clean an area out in 1 season. How would u manage that?
Did you catch any in the round trap
Caught 1 in the round 440.
👍
Have you had a chance to use Southern Snares dot com Super Duty Driver for wolf fang OR bullet anchors? Just wanted to know if you have field tested these products and your thoughts. Best!
Just now got to start trapping beaver, i love it! It's all big predator here and mb750s and some ts traps I own nothing smaller than a #3 duke and I actually use it quiet a bit, I've released 2 timber wolves this year didn't put up a fight much, last night I released a full grown male cougar, talk about ready to fight for his life.. all I had was my head lamp, my wife and my catch pole, I cut myself all to pieces getting drug, fighting around with him trying to release him, my wife scared to death lol, I was to, luckily I got him loose, first time I ever ripped clothing, got drug down in the dirt, and cut and lost my pole for about 20 ft, just to release!he was definitely mad and I said never again, luckily I'm in my 20s so I heal quick I guess lol. anyways I'm starting on the beaver soon, for our own ranch to beat it all. Will my 750s 4 springs work fine or is that over kill. I own 4 ts85s with added springs to, dont have many 2 spring traps, what is your favorite for beaver? The ts out of the box is great right? 2 spring and plenty big for beaver? Should and can I use my ts with 4 springs? Or should I leave them in frozen ground and for predator? Any advice is appreciated.
Dude, sounds like you shoulda had that on video! Lol the 4 coils will be fine for bvr. Dont sweat it, just catchem. Hopefully you'll have an easier go of it. :)
@@Meattrapper if someone told me that story I probably would laugh at them, sounds good but in reality he was just trying to flee and I couldn't get my pole off of him lol to beat it all my wife told me I made that alot more complicated than it should of been🤣I would of looked a fool on camera ofcourse. More of an Americas funniest home videos rather than tough guy wrestling lion type deal lol still, it's a cougar, I don't catch them much and it makes a mans heart pound forsure when they sound like they're calling reinforcements. K9s on the other hand look mean but never put up much fight for me. I'm curious to see were my beaver skills will lead me, my dad could snare a fly but me, not so much I'll stick w my traps please keep the videos rolling in and making it look easy. God bless

I used the Southern Snares Wolf Fang driver and wolf fangs in this video and had zero issues. The driver is really heavy duty - overkill for mud and water trapping, but would be great for beating into hard ground. The wolf fangs themselves did great. No issues at all.
