7 years later. How did these cuttings do?
Nice vid. Are these clear, thin, bags that cover the plant sold at garden centers?
I found myself saying "bam, bam bam" when preparing my cuttings lol
When you put the bags over pots should you put some slots in the bag for air movement? I seen that on another video? What do those cuttings look like now ?

Yes! This works but it isn’t a very high success rate. I planted 9 cuttings and used this tutorial, but only 1 succeeded. I would definitely recommend this, but if you do decide to use this method, plant around 10 so you can increase your chances of getting successful ones.
In May of last year, I tried propagating some apricot cuttings and had no luck, they all died. Yesterday I took cuttings while the tree is still dormant (early February) so hopefully it will work this time.
best time is when its dormant as you get better success and fruit tree during first year growth. but can be done any time of year.

How long can the cuttings be out before they dry out?
You should immediately put into water, but I used this method and one worked after being not being in water for about 20 minutes.
I've tried this method with negative results. Very hard to root apricots.

If you have more than one leaf you dont cut them in half. only if you are leaving half a leaf it pays out to cut it, if you have more as you did it makes zero sense to cut 4 leaves in half instead leaving 2 whole, and im not sure this will work nyways

Good information but you really need to cut back on your sound affects. Also I’ve always recommended put your routing powder in a baggie so you don’t contaminate your jar of root hormon
