Hello from the United States. Great declutter today!I’ve spent the last week decluttering my kitchen. My 84 yo Mom is decluttering too. So today I took a carload of items from my house and hers to the local thrift shop. Feels so good! Love your videos. ❤
It's Tuesday in Texas. Yesterday, my son and daughter-in-law came over and helped me rearrange the bedroom that serves as my sewing room so we can fit a twin daybed for when my daughter and 12 year old granddaughter who is now as tall as me, visit from Arizona. Threw out a basket of old clothes and went through a pile of paper throwing away most of them. Put my cousin's desk on our church's chat & someone has already claimed it. It was a good start, but there is so much more to do. Little by little is my motto for this year.
Soon we’ll be doing a whole house decluttering as well be selling and moving in the next few months. The question I’ll be asking myself is “is this item worth moving?” We don’t know where we’re moving to, so I imagine (hope) we’ll be defaulting to “no” (vs. just in case) a lot. TBH, Diane I had a hard time with that WW costume too. If you’re able to suggest super hero theme for the next Bluetits dress-up, I would keep it til then, then purge it. The good thing about your swap parties is that any item you may “regret” can always come back to you - or you can ask it’s new owner to borrow it 💕
Loved seeing all the goofy things in your costume box! Years ago, when our kids were still kids, we had a big trunk full of “dress ups”. They and their friends spent hours playing with the costumes and vintage clothing. Yesterday hubby and I reduced our cassette tape inventory by two-thirds. Today I found a home for a big stack of cardstock and colored paper with a friend who is a teacher.
It's been very hard to get myself going this week, as my head has been jumbled with all of the things I need/want to do, and feeling like I have to do them all right now. Which results in doing none of them. Hence, it being Friday before I even watched this video. But, I managed to get myself to declutter along with you. I worked in our bathroom, and it feels so good to have done it. Thank you so much for this format! Now a little snack and some water before moving on to clean for 10 minutes with you!
I worked to declutter my craft space in the laundry room. I had cross stitch kits and craft magazines from the 90’s in there. So glad to work through them, I can’t remember the last time I even looked in that box.
“If you’re not using your feather boas pass them along” hit my funny bone! We never dress up so I don’t have a box for that but my mental image of me using a boa was a hoot. I was so excited to stick with Fly Lady every single day, dreaming that my house could look like your home instead of an episode of Hoarders, until I fell inside my house as a snow storm hit outside, breaking my ankle… Your videos have cheered me up so very much, thank you for continuing to make them! I have decided that as long as I don’t overdo it, drs orders, I can grab a chair and work on an area every day for 10-15 minutes along with you and they will come together, making a noticeable difference. Today I decluttered and reorganized two small cabinets in the living room using a keep box, throw away, and donate box. Tomorrow will be a bigger challenge as I begin to declutter and reorganize my little craft room. Breaking chores into small bits has really motivated me. ❤
My youngest son and I spent the time in his room decluttering his closet and things that needed to be put away. Found a bag of trash/recycling and a bag to donate (clothing, hats, etc.) 🎉
Hi from Ohio! Today I decluttered some hair elastics because I had so many of them that it made them hard to store! I know that if I ever run out I can spend $5 to buy more. Happy to be letting go of the burden of holding on to all of them versus the peace of knowing I now have only what I need.
OMGsh! Decluttered so many glass jars. Mason jars. Jelly jars. Sauce jars. Started out is an alternative to plastic and “Tupperware“ but enough is enough!♻
What a hilarious declutter! So much fun! I am really flexing my declutter muscles this week and I'm going through photo albums. The old ones have this yucky glue stuff on the pages, so I'm carefully removing the photos from those and tossing those albums because they damage the photos in the long term. I'm moving the photos into albums that don't have glue, and in the process, tossing about half or more of the photos. I have managed to get 8 yucky albums down to 2 nice ones this week. It's a lot of time but very satisfying! And more fun to look at the albums when I remove the lower quality photos.
My "extra room" will be the open bay shed that I want to declutter of excess pots, broken bikes and invasive vines, so that it can be transformed into a little greenhouse 🌱

I worked with you and I decluttered a decorative pillow, 2 books, 2 pairs of glasses, a shirt, a musical instrument, coasters, and a calculator to donate. One item is going to recycling.Yay, go me!
Hi, by asking for feedback it does keep us accountable. I went through one cupboard and de_cluttered 15 items in the kitchen., Jars, drinking containers (only need 3 not 5!) etc. One thing I appreciate about the fly lady system., is that over time you get to a point of being able to manage the household so having the confidence to do bit by bit yet still continue with the zone cleaning , morning and evening routines is vital to success. . It took me about 12 months initially and now it is maintenance. You get a de-clutter mentality. Consistence builds confidence. You know you get it right when you can have guests over within 10 minutes with confidence!
I'm continuing to declutter and downsize my holiday decor, 15 minutes a day (ugh). I enjoyed seeing all your fun dress-up items, I went through mine after Halloween. Loved the cigarette holder and Marx brothers film clip haha! Also, restocking my bathroom TP and setting up a better cleaning caddy under my bathroom sink. I did the same at Christmas. Just now finished Valentine's. Such a good feeling,isn't it? Please don't get discouraged! I started 3days after Christmas and just finished this past weekend. At times,I was ready to just do the rest next year. So glad I didn't. I think my house feels lighter.😂

This week I took a look at the electronic graveyard in my garage - 2 very old scanners and a monitor are headed to our local repair/recycle shop - woohoo! I woke up this morning not feeling very good. Im off work on Mondays & the kids' 2hr delay turned in to school being cancelled. I took some meds, rested on the sofa, ate some chicken noodle soup and then felt better. Decluttered some in the dining room by our hutch and then played Uno card game and Candy lamd board game with my olders daughter. Then we just had frozen pizzas for dinner. School is also cancelled for tomorrow. I don't have work tomorrow bc of school being closed. So I will rest up some more and work more in the dining room/ living room area.

Dear Diane, I really enjoyed watching this decluttering episode. That was fun😂 I quickly sorted out my make-up box decluttering all the wrong colours from the past. I'm type 3/1 in Dressing your truth which means farewell to black! Hooray! Looking at your dressing up stuff reminded me of my childhood. My favorite costumes of the time were the one of a snowflake (a white dress with lots of sparkly beads and glitter + a tiara) and the one of a fox with real fox tail (aghh) given by my granny😂 Thank you so much for inspiration and sweet memories! Hi Diane. On Monday I worked on decluttering cleaning and bath products in the bathroom and relocated excess cleaning supplies to my overflow storage in the laundry room. On Tuesday I listened again and worked for 10 minutes organizing that overflow storage. Needs more work, but wow, great progress! Thank you for your cheerful motivation!!! I love how you are firmly decisive when decluttering things. Also the wig was a hoot as well as all of the other costume items! My husband laughs at me because I sometimes go back to the box and take an item back out after I've decluttered it. Cleaned one bathroom and decluttered a cabinet in there. Enjoyed this video. Last week I actually decluttered my kitchen hot spot, and on Monday this week I decluttered a bag of clothes from my closet (closet is off of the bathroom). I have 1 whole bag to donate. Now I am looking at what is left and started thinking about looking into "dressing your truth". I love the colors you are wearing this year. I am doing a year long decluttering my office (goal), so I am very focused on that. But you are keeping me on track with the Zones and cleaning, which is fantastic! Thank you. I am working in our bathroom this week. This morning, I checked the tasks for Zone 3. Did some decluttering in the bathroom yesterday. I found a headband that I no longer use, so will be donating it. One of the big tasks that I did this morning was clean the shower/bathtub and cleaned the window blinds. I like the sweater with the little blue hearts on it that you are wearing today. Thanks for helping and encouraging us.
I decluttered 24 books that I have either read and will not reread or that I have been holding onto thinking that I'll read them when I'm in the right mood. Since the "right mood" hasn't struck in the last 5 or so years for some of these books, I think it's safe to say I don't really want to read them. It feels good to say goodbye. (Though my bookshelves aren't noticeably depleted!!!)

I think that’s exactly what everyone says - that you are never done with decluttering :-/ also I have noticed that when I come back to any space after some time, each time i am able to let go of more, because I suddenly realize i really don’t use some of the things…

My husband asked if you mentioned your new king and queen. European royalty are rarely on the news but this is different; It’s all over the news here as we claim your queen as our own as she’s an Aussie. As to decluttering, I’m on a break as we are doing a summer road trip in our campervan. Van life helps you learn to not accumulate clutter and live happily with minimal stuff.
I went through my daughter’s craft cabinet which was a disaster. Got rid of the garbage, and I have a bag of great things to offer to our school’s kindergarten teacher. I am so happy to cross this project off my list!

Good Morning from a very wet Sydney, Australia. Today I have decluttered the cupboard in the Ensuite bathroom, throw, keep and donate ( to my Daughter) all those unused/unopened and will never use, half used bottles of shampoos, perfumes etc. My goodness I found unopened bottles of perfume I forgot I had!!!! Today decluttered the secondary linen closet. Got rid of some childrens' patterned sheets, two afghans, and a few old pillows. Our veterinarian will use old sheets and afghans.

Hi, by asking for feedback it does keep us accountable. I went through one cupboard and de_cluttered 15 items in the kitchen., Jars, drinking containers (only need 3 not 5!) etc.
One thing I appreciate about the fly lady system., is that over time you get to a point of being able to manage the household so having the confidence to do bit by bit yet still continue with the zone cleaning , morning and evening routines is vital to success. . It took me about 12 months initially and now it is maintenance. You get a de-clutter mentality. Consistence builds confidence. You know you get it right when you can have guests over within 10 minutes with confidence!

I'm continuing to declutter and downsize my holiday decor, 15 minutes a day (ugh). I enjoyed seeing all your fun dress-up items, I went through mine after Halloween. Loved the cigarette holder and Marx brothers film clip haha! Also, restocking my bathroom TP and setting up a better cleaning caddy under my bathroom sink. As always, thank you for all your inspiration!
I did the same at Christmas. Just now finished Valentine's. Such a good feeling,isn't it? Please don't get discouraged! I started 3days after Christmas and just finished this past weekend. At times,I was ready to just do the rest next year. So glad I didn't. I think my house feels lighter.😂

I loved seeing your dressing up items today! And it was good to see that when you were tempted, you said no, no and in the bin the item went (that's where I get stuck). This week I took a look at the electronic graveyard in my garage - 2 very old scanners and a monitor are headed to our local repair/recycle shop - woohoo! Thank you ever so much for the encouragement!

I woke up this morning not feeling very good. Im off work on Mondays & the kids' 2hr delay turned in to school being cancelled.
I took some meds, rested on the sofa, ate some chicken noodle soup and then felt better. Decluttered some in the dining room by our hutch and then played Uno card game and Candy lamd board game with my olders daughter. Then we just had frozen pizzas for dinner.
School is also cancelled for tomorrow. I don't have work tomorrow bc of school being closed. So I will rest up some more and work more in the dining room/ living room area.

Dear Diane, I really enjoyed watching this decluttering episode. That was fun😂 I quickly sorted out my make-up box decluttering all the wrong colours from the past. I'm type 3/1 in Dressing your truth which means farewell to black! Hooray! Looking at your dressing up stuff reminded me of my childhood. My favorite costumes of the time were the one of a snowflake (a white dress with lots of sparkly beads and glitter + a tiara) and the one of a fox with real fox tail (aghh) given by my granny😂 Thank you so much for inspiration and sweet memories! Hello from the southern US. I love your dress up box. It seems like so much fun! We decluttered before we moved into our new home last year. It seems like the clutter is sneaking back in. Today I decluttered 2 drawers in the kitchen, cleaned and put away all of the countertop appliances. The kitchen looks so much better with clear counters! Thank you for the inspiration!

On Monday I worked on decluttering cleaning and bath products in the bathroom and relocated excess cleaning supplies to my overflow storage in the laundry room. On Tuesday I listened again and worked for 10 minutes organizing that overflow storage. Needs more work, but wow, great progress! Thank you for your cheerful motivation!!!

I love how you are firmly decisive when decluttering things. Also the wig was a hoot as well as all of the other costume items! My husband laughs at me because I sometimes go back to the box and take an item back out after I've decluttered it. Cleaned one bathroom and decluttered a cabinet in there. Enjoyed this video. Last week I actually decluttered my kitchen hot spot, and on Monday this week I decluttered a bag of clothes from my closet (closet is off of the bathroom). I have 1 whole bag to donate. Now I am looking at what is left and started thinking about looking into "dressing your truth". I love the colors you are wearing this year. I am doing a year long decluttering my office (goal), so I am very focused on that. But you are keeping me on track with the Zones and cleaning, which is fantastic! Thank you. I am working in our bathroom this week. This morning, I checked the tasks for Zone 3. Did some decluttering in the bathroom yesterday. I found a headband that I no longer use, so will be donating it. One of the big tasks that I did this morning was clean the shower/bathtub and cleaned the window blinds. I like the sweater with the little blue hearts on it that you are wearing today. Thanks for helping and encouraging us.
I decluttered Xmas stuff.. huge boxes , and ended up with just 2 small drawers worth ! Super easy and very happy to donate the rest.
I decluttered 24 books that I have either read and will not reread or that I have been holding onto thinking that I'll read them when I'm in the right mood. Since the "right mood" hasn't struck in the last 5 or so years for some of these books, I think it's safe to say I don't really want to read them. It feels good to say goodbye. (Though my bookshelves aren't noticeably depleted!!!)

I think that’s exactly what everyone says - that you are never done with decluttering :-/ also I have noticed that when I come back to any space after some time, each time i am able to let go of more, because I suddenly realize i really don’t use some of the things…

I really need this decluttering sessions as my husband and I are retired and are in the process of moving to another state. Today we worked in our home office and got rid of a ton of trash and found lots of things we had lost track of. It feels so good to finally be rid of all that stuff.

I decluttered a small barn that is used as a family bar to relax and has a storage room and a big freezer. Happy that i did it. My car is full and will empty it this afternoon. 🎉

As to decluttering, I’m on a break as we are doing a summer road trip in our campervan. Van life helps you learn to not accumulate clutter and live happily with minimal stuff.
I went through my daughter’s craft cabinet which was a disaster. Got rid of the garbage, and I have a bag of great things to offer to our school’s kindergarten teacher. I am so happy to cross this project off my list!

Today I have decluttered the cupboard in the Ensuite bathroom, throw, keep and donate ( to my Daughter) all those unused/unopened and will never use, half used bottles of shampoos, perfumes etc. My goodness I found unopened bottles of perfume I forgot I had!!!!
