I purchased a house on Promontory 20 years ago. I haven't moved or wanted to. Now. my house is almost paid in full which will mean being in a fairly nice area with almost no housing cost. Again I have no desire to move from Promontory like you claim here that "everyone" wants.. Why would I want to move away from a quiet area (VERY important to me) with great no driving required hiking spots, including to the Vedder River, when I am already a 5 minutes drive away (or a short city bus ride because there are buses here) from the places you have promoted as wonderful in multiple videos of yours? Sure there are valid issues with driving up and down a hill in the winter etc but I just found the negatives bizarre especially when other areas like downtown Chilliwack are where high levels of crime occur (and I would feel unsafe living in that and actually want to move which is why 20 years ago I did not buy there after a ton of research) but the downtown segment is all about how great the revitalization is. I think this video would be fine if all areas were more about the positive or if all the areas mentioned positives and negatives but they aren't....
Your comment has a lot of info that I've been searching for. My little family is thinking about moving to Promontory and it's great to hear good things about it. Do you mind if I ask you more about schools in the area? Is this a good neighborhood for new families?
Awesome video! Thank you so much for your knowledgeable information! Just wondering how long you've lived in our town? I'm just wondering if you could let us know why they call it Garrison?
Condering moving there from Toronto. I heard it is also snowy there. Are home owners required to remove snow within 24 hours after the snow stops? Really tired of shovelling snow.
What about that house across from the high school with crazy happenings day and night, crashes vandalism, mugging fights… there’s hours of videos on this platform…
District 1881 is just another Whislter/Gastown clone...every eatery/pub is expensive. This town stinks of manure 10 months of the year. Sardis used to be a nice place to live but has been over-developed and is now over-crowded. He's right about Garrison...you can't own a car because there is nowhere to park, and don't think for a minute that Vedder avoids the manure stench... Trying to drive through Sardis/Vedder during the summer is impossible due to the volume of Vancouver traffic headed to Cultus Lake and this city's refusal to do anything about the traffic gridlock in that community. Promontory used to have great views of the valley, but now all you're looking at is mile after mile of townhouses and condos...even Promontory is over-crowded and over-developed; the amount of traffic coming off the hill every day, is ridiculous. If you wanted to give BC an enema...Chilliwack is where you'd stick the hose.
thank you btw I might pass you in subs and one of my friends and I live in Chilliwack and he has more subs than you and if you want to see him his name is chickentaco productions Btw I think I saw you in walmart I alao didn't know that that was the biggest Canadian tire
