I love Bill Bixby. He was a tremendous help to my husband when he had cancer and advised him what to do . He lifted my husband's spirit so high with his conversations and I will always remember him for it. Even though he had the cancer , he found the time to help my husband with his. They are with God now.
I love him too! He was the whole package, handsome and intelligent, funny and sweet. I started watching him from My Favorite Martian until the year he died. I can still watch anything he ever did and it feels just as fresh as it did originally. He was an awesome talent. I hope he's enjoying paradise now with his son and first love of his life. We miss you, Mr. Bixby! ❤
I was lucky to meet him at my film school in LA. They were filming a series there and I approached him. He was very very friendly. No ego whatsoever. He even gave me an autograph. Which I still have. Great actor. Great guy. He died way too early. RIP. 🙏
We're very happy to know that you had a chance to meet Bill! Thank you so much for sharing your life story. What other types of video would you like to see?
Absolutely loved just about everything he was in. He was so intelligent, interesting, talented, humorous, articulate and incredibly handsome. He also seemed like a nice guy. I felt a huge loss when he died.❤
I was fortunate enough to see Bill Bixby in My Favorite Martian as a kid as well as The Courtship of Eddie's Father. But my two favorite shows were the short-lived The Magician as well as The Incredible Hulk. He always had a kind side in his acting and from what I've heard from entertainment shows and from interviews of other actors he was a well liked and respected man in Hollywood who had a wide variety of talents in the entertainment industry. For such a kind and good man to have so much tragedy in his life is certainly heartbreaking and sad. But I find it especially impressive is that he didn't allow the tragedies or the cancer to bring him down but that he gave the best of himself even down to the end. He truly was one of the best.
I saw Bill Bixby in a play in Dayton, OH when I was in high school. It was the early 70's. The play was "Come Blow Your Horn". Afterwards the cast would meet at Marian's Piazza and I met him and got his autograph, which I still have!
The way he acted on TV was what he was in real life. Bill Bixby stayed around in Hollywood so long, because he could put out, but more so he got along with everyone and anyone on the set. Everyone. to include janitors, stage hands, fans who recognized him. He was a real nice guy. The comment below is worth reading.
I remember an interview he did with People magazine where he said he wasn't afraid to die (he had been diagnosed with cancer at this time) because he looked forward to seeing his beloved son, who had passed on.
In the late 80's and early 90's I worked as a room service waiter in a high end hotel in Vancouver. Bill Bixby was a frequent long stay guest as he was doing the Incredible Hulk movies at the time. I served him dinner many times over the course of a couple of years, and I always found him to be very friendly and down to earth. He had a very kind and calm demeanor. I remember that he loved smoked salmon! I dealt with a number of celebrities in those years, but Bill Bixby was definitely one of my favorites.
I like Bill bixby’s acting and his calm respectful personal character. My uncle( z”l) was a holocaust survivor, timid and small in stature who worked in a small alteration shop. One day Mr. Bixby came unto the shop for some alterations. He struck up both a conversation and a continuing friendship with my uncle that continued until his passing. My cousin used to tell me how my uncle’s face used to light up when talking about Mr. Bixby. They were Bill and Leon to each other, coffee pals, walking buddies etc.
He played a young hotshot on Andy Griffith. Drove thru town in a 62 TBird convertible. He had to spend a weekend in jail so Andy took him home to meet the family. I'm 66 & My Favorite Martian was about the first show I remember.
Loved everything this Man was in. I heard tell that he was the nicest guy in Hollywood. I tend to think that's true. He always seemed like such a giving person. I liked him very much. So sorry he went through so many tragedies in his short life. May he Rest In Eternal Peace.
I love Bill Bixby. He entertained me during my childhood in a positive and wholesome way. The Courtship of Eddie's Father was an exemplary family program that is hard to beat, nothing even close to it exists on TV now, or anywhere else. I hope he knew that when alot of Americans think of Bill Bixby, it's with a warm heart. To me, he reminded of an Uncle,my favorite Uncle.
Lou Ferrigno once said in an interview that Bixby taught him a lot and Walston and the kid from Bixby's earlier shows were on Incredible Hulk episodes.
I had a really, tough childhood. Watching reruns of The Courtship of Eddie’s Father meant so much to me. It was filled with love and understanding, which was so important for me to see at that time. RIP Bill you always seemed to be a caring man. 🙏🏻
I loved the series the courtship of Eddie’s father. It was truly wonderful and heartwarming. Through that I think He showed a lot of dad’s how to be a loving father to their children. God bless him for that
I was a fan of Bill Bixby as a little kid in the 60s. Starting with My Favorite Martian. And in the 70s with courtship of Eddie's father, the magician, and of course the Incredible Hulk, as well as his many TV series and movie appearances. I wasn't aware of the many tragedies in his life, it's so sad!. When I heard of his passing in 1993 and how much pain he was in, I felt so bad that his life was cut short at such a young age.
Bill BIXBY inspired me to become a doctor and research scientist as well! His portrayal of Dr. David Bruce Banner especially with his calming effect on people was a real inspiration in how I deal with the doctor-patient relationship. A very talented actor, director, producer and overall genuine good guy persona is definitely missed in the world today! Rest In Peace Bill Bixby ❤
Mr. Bixby's shows were all very enjoyable to watch. I had cancer at age 42, but after treatments I've been cancer free for 27 years. It is so sad Mr. Bixby died so young. My brother just had his prostrate removed a year ago and is also doing well.
Well said, we agree! Also, thank you so much for sharing your life story. We're very happy to know that you've beaten cancer. Be safe and stay positive 💕
I don't know what Bixby was like in his personal life, but I really enjoyed his roles on television. When I was 6, I saw him in The Courtship of Eddie's Father and wished my own father was more like that one (not that I had bad father. My own father, I think, was more humanly real though).
You know who else was in a Kirk Douglas movie, Jean Spangler. But he claimed to have not known her. Jean Spangler was an actress that disappeared, and only her purse was ever found, and it had a note to 'Kirk'. When the news got out about the note to Kirk, Kirk Douglas literally called the cops to tell the cops it was not him, and that he had never met her. Then a couple weeks later he admits he did know her. Problem is he had worked with her, was reportedly having an affair with her, and had gotten her pregnant. The weird part is Kirk Douglas had just became a super star, and Hollywood made the story disappear. The Jean Spangler story is super mysterious. He likely had something to do with her disappearing.
R.I.P. Bill Bixby. I missed him and still remember the theme song from The Courtship of Eddie’s Father. I even recorded it on my old cassette recorder.
I can't believe I didn't know all of this. And he died so young. 😢 I totally missed that he died. My father died just three weeks before Bixby. Also cancer.
I read an article about him shortly after he passed. The author said Bill's last words to him were, "Always pick the good wine!' I always think of that during hard times.

Bill Bixby was truly a remarkable talent whose career spanned across multiple decades, leaving an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. Despite facing personal tragedies, including the loss of his son and battling prostate cancer, Bixby's dedication to his craft and his enduring spirit serve as an inspiration to many.
Bixby plays a psychopathic sadist (and masochist) in Ride Beyond Vengeance (1966). Terrifying and memorable performance as he jams a glowing branding iron into his stomach. Yikes!
bill bixby is a great actor a real nice person he was my first older man crush at six lol love courtship of eddies father ... etc ty for posting still think of him
Not big on him. I used to be until I learned how he treated the mother of his son after the son died. She ended up killing herself mostly because of his cruelty.
My favorite moment was with him in the television show The Incredible Hulk, but I had no idea that he died from prostate cancer though, but still remembered for all time.
You know what, I will like to find out if it's true about well known actresses Joan Crawford and Bette Davis never got along both on and off screen and what were the circumstances that led to that unfortunate turn of events, just curious about it though.
CarlosGuzman-Actually Mr. Rogers visited the Incredible Hulk set in 1980, interviewing both Bix and Big Louie. This was during the season three filming of Homecoming. Mr. Rogers also got to see Lou without his makeup on, and his friend, Mr. McFeely, took video footage of Lou getting his makeup put on.
I loved Bill Bixby in The Incredible Hulk. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 Bill Bixby died on the same day that David Cassidy did. Not the same year, but November 21st. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

You know what, I will like to find out if it's true about well known actresses Joan Crawford and Bette Davis never got along both on and off screen and what were the circumstances that led to that unfortunate turn of events, just curious about it though.
Loved 😍 him on the incredible HULK. He made an appearance on Mr Rogers Neighborhood.. a behind the scenes. With Bill and Lou Ferrigno.
