I love Bill Bixby. He was a tremendous help to my husband when he had cancer and advised him what to do . He lifted my husband's spirit so high with his conversations and I will always remember him for it. Even though he had the cancer , he found the time to help my husband with his. They are with God now.

I love him too! He was the whole package, handsome and intelligent, funny and sweet. I started watching him from My Favorite Martian until the year he died. I can still watch anything he ever did and it feels just as fresh as it did originally. He was an awesome talent. I hope he's enjoying paradise now with his son and first love of his life. We miss you, Mr. Bixby! ❤

I was fortunate enough to see Bill Bixby in My Favorite Martian as a kid as well as The Courtship of Eddie's Father. But my two favorite shows were the short-lived The Magician as well as The Incredible Hulk. He always had a kind side in his acting and from what I've heard from entertainment shows and from interviews of other actors he was a well liked and respected man in Hollywood who had a wide variety of talents in the entertainment industry. For such a kind and good man to have so much tragedy in his life is certainly heartbreaking and sad. But I find it especially impressive is that he didn't allow the tragedies or the cancer to bring him down but that he gave the best of himself even down to the end. He truly was one of the best.

I saw Bill Bixby in a play in Dayton, OH when I was in high school. It was the early 70's. The play was "Come Blow Your Horn". Afterwards the cast would meet at Marian's Piazza and I met him and got his autograph, which I still have!

The way he acted on TV was what he was in real life.
Bill Bixby stayed around in Hollywood so long, because he could put out, but more so he got along with everyone and anyone on the set.
Everyone. to include janitors, stage hands, fans who recognized him.
He was a real nice guy. The comment below is worth reading.

In the late 80's and early 90's I worked as a room service waiter in a high end hotel in Vancouver. Bill Bixby was a frequent long stay guest as he was doing the Incredible Hulk movies at the time. I served him dinner many times over the course of a couple of years, and I always found him to be very friendly and down to earth. He had a very kind and calm demeanor. I remember that he loved smoked salmon! I dealt with a number of celebrities in those years, but Bill Bixby was definitely one of my favorites.

I like Bill bixby’s acting and his calm respectful personal character. My uncle( z”l) was a holocaust survivor, timid and small in stature who worked in a small alteration shop. One day Mr. Bixby came unto the shop for some alterations. He struck up both a conversation and a continuing friendship with my uncle that continued until his passing. My cousin used to tell me how my uncle’s face used to light up when talking about Mr. Bixby. They were Bill and Leon to each other, coffee pals, walking buddies etc.

He played a young hotshot on Andy Griffith. Drove thru town in a 62 TBird convertible. He had to spend a weekend in jail so Andy took him home to meet the family. I'm 66 & My Favorite Martian was about the first show I remember.

I love Bill Bixby. He entertained me during my childhood in a positive and wholesome way. The Courtship of Eddie's Father was an exemplary family program that is hard to beat, nothing even close to it exists on TV now, or anywhere else. I hope he knew that when alot of Americans think of Bill Bixby, it's with a warm heart. To me, he reminded of an Uncle,my favorite Uncle.

I was a fan of Bill Bixby as a little kid in the 60s. Starting with My Favorite Martian. And in the 70s with courtship of Eddie's father, the magician, and of course the Incredible Hulk, as well as his many TV series and movie appearances. I wasn't aware of the many tragedies in his life, it's so sad!. When I heard of his passing in 1993 and how much pain he was in, I felt so bad that his life was cut short at such a young age.

You know who else was in a Kirk Douglas movie, Jean Spangler. But he claimed to have not known her. Jean Spangler was an actress that disappeared, and only her purse was ever found, and it had a note to 'Kirk'. When the news got out about the note to Kirk, Kirk Douglas literally called the cops to tell the cops it was not him, and that he had never met her. Then a couple weeks later he admits he did know her. Problem is he had worked with her, was reportedly having an affair with her, and had gotten her pregnant. The weird part is Kirk Douglas had just became a super star, and Hollywood made the story disappear. The Jean Spangler story is super mysterious. He likely had something to do with her disappearing.

I agree. The combination of Bill, Tim Conway, Don Knotts and Harry Morgan made for some of the fumiest moments in cinema (Harry Morgan: "Hey Amos, your pants are on fire."). Plus some of the film was filmed not too far from a former stomping grounds of mine between Sun River, Oregon and Bend Oregon along the Deschutes River in the Deschutes National Forest. There is still a plaque at one of the bridges along the river that talks about the filming there at that location.

CarlosGuzman-Actually Mr. Rogers visited the Incredible Hulk set in 1980, interviewing both Bix and Big Louie. This was during the season three filming of Homecoming. Mr. Rogers also got to see Lou without his makeup on, and his friend, Mr. McFeely, took video footage of Lou getting his makeup put on.
