HP needs to get their fucking shit together, as this seems to be a fairly wide spread issue in the last year with MANY of their laptops!!! I've been trying to fix this for months now on my HP Laptop 15 series, so thank you for actually showing me the fix. Next laptop will be an Asus or MSI. I'm sick of HP's anti-consumer and lazy, sloppy practices.
Update: Found a fix for *some* fans that simply don't want to spin anymore In my case it was not a matter of tolerances, the fan would attempt to spin but was stuck resulting in the grinding noise. So I dismantled the thing by simply pushing the rotor out of it's housing through the rear with my thumbs. I then removed any dust there was on and in it - but no luck - it was still not spinning properly. I then realized that it simply refused to spin because of the built-in plastic "bushing" that was pretty much dead, it was causing internal friction and with it's 2.5W operating power there's no way it could overcome it. So I peeled off the broken pieces and applied mechanical oil, and now it works perfectly. And by perfectly I mean PERFECTLY as i'm posting this 3 days after. HP omen CPU fans cost a fortune, but with 5 cents of mechanical oil I was able to fix the thing and now it's even quieter than it was storebought. I hope this helps at least one fellow human being ^^
@@karthikm1527 The rotor itself. As stated I pushed it out through the rear (exposing the copper windings and discreet electronics), I then cleaned everything with isoprop alcohol and lubbed it up. It's been running non-stop for the past 5 months without any issue whatsoever
hi, thanks for your video. yesterday i removed the CPU heatsink and serviced the fan, applied new thermal paste etc. however the result is not that good. CPU temperature is still around 50 degree at idle, and around 60 degree when watching any youtube video, cpu fan almost running all the time. I was hoping after cleaning the heatsink would do a better job like when it was new, so that the fan does not need to kick in and operate (which is noisy) most of the time. what is the normal CPU temperature on your machine? is the fan operating often?
Same, but it still makes the sounds. I swear Lenovo does shit with all of their devices. I got a laptop from Lenovo and not even a full year after I got it, (with the charger) the charger broke! A month later my fan goes berzerk!

I have a 17 inch HP 4TT1C19R with an AMD A10-8700P Radeon 6 quad core processor. Do all HP laptops use the same cooling fan or do they use different fans for different models of laptops? my laptop does not have a fan. i opened it and found out the fan was missing perhaps it was not making any noise. what should i do? i know it keeps shutting down sometimes when i am using is for more than 34 minutes...or sometimes 1 hour it shuts down and after few min it can run again.
My laptop fan make loud noise whenever i move it like adjusting lappy's position or any type of movement. It starts to make noise as soon as it is moved. Whats the cause and solution? Its also turning off my router's wifi for all devices connected to it whenever i turn on my laptop.
It would have been quicker to add a few self adhesive foam/rubber spacers, even a cardboard circle around the fan, simply to prevent the metal case from coming into contacting with it, or causing an electrical short against the motherboard. But to whack it into submission with a hammer, is beyond ethical service technicians guidelines! LOL
Hey bro, my msi laptop on the left fan is making buzzing noise. When I play high quality games, but I have core i7, 8 gb ram. GeForce MX330, why is this happening? Is the fan failed?
