As a sim rally driver I can’t imagine the level of cool these drivers have to manipulate and control these beasts with smoothness and precision in real life!!!
Don't forget that these cars have the most advanced suspension/steering technology, so these cars are kind of "easy" to drive, you can really feel what is happening even at that high speed... (way way better than at any hardcore sim rig) Those who drive these WRC/R5/WRX cars always say that they are easy to drive because these cars give them incredible feedback. Of course you have to be extremly focused while driving at this level, this is the hard part for avarage people, and to be able to focusing continously through a long and exhausting day through troubles, frustration, discomfort..., and to keep fresh and sharp in mind even on the last day, that is what separates champions from amateurs and avarage "racing drivers".
Few weeks ago Kalle Rovanperä drive his first race to Benelux Porsche cup. First race he was fourth and second race he was fifth. But he drive fastest lap at his first track race. He is most impressive talent at whole car racing. Go Kalle Go!
This talented young driver is following Sébastien Loeb rallye driver and Word champion for many years then finished second 24 th hours of Le Mans and was near to drive in formula 1 for Réd Bull after conclusive test !! A very rare diversity indeed.
Quite literally. Drivers 20 years ago started their careers in their 20s. Petter won his first title at 29, Loeb over 30. This new generation of drivers is born from those guys, and they were born and bred from the age of 5 to be rally drivers and nothing else. Guys like Kalle and Max in F1 learned to race from the age they could reach the pedals. Racing is all they've ever known. The oldschool guys have no chance against them
@@MentalParadox , yes but there is nothing wrong with that, it has, for instance, been very normal for musicians ,for ever, and it's true for IT chaps today too. Not to mention the army and the navy back in time. And chess comes to my mind too.
@@hurri7720 The natural problem with car racing is that usually you need a license to drive a car, so unless your parents put you on a go-kart or in Kalle's case gets him into a closed road, the kids themselves might not be able to have the chance to learn how to drive until they are at driving license age. And with rally, that license is needed even more so because it is assumed that the driver will be doing the liaison sections which are done on public road. Kalle did his first rally events in Latvia with a Latvian license (the windows even had the Latvian flag next to his name), because there they allowed the co-driver to do all the liaison stages and thus the driver can be underage without a driving license. But normally while the co-driver can still do the liaison, the normal licenses require the driver to hold a driving license.

He does not have support at the moment and he cant be in Latvia, if someone wants to support him, contact with him. Finland WRC list closes soon and probably he cant be there also, next rally for him is Rally Estonia and no next rally for this year (Junior WRC champ 22).
Kalle and Tanak, as of my point of view, are really good and talented drivers. Driving with passion and very skilled. Something remains to great Collin. Wish both of them more safety rallies and victories ahead.
Yep, now Neuville might have an opportunity to become WRC 1 champion. For 2024 they have arranged a new points system just to favor him. If you look up his previous placings over the years, the only reasonable chance was probably with a brand new "Neuville system", because with the "old" it has been proven that he doesn't make it all the way to the first WRC1 champion.
@@larszenthio1012 u are right . Its time he delivers & benefits from this new system . I wish we would be able to see him drive a Toyota , just for one season before he retires .
