What does "old school" mean for you? I'm curious because I always read people praising artists like her, who have nothing in common with classic or outlaw country, but only with the commercialized late 90's country pop.

Folks don’t get it, what it’s like being raised in the sticks, having bonfires on the weekends, going fishing, fishing, riding 4 wheelers, and floating the river and cracking open a cold beer chilling with the buddies it’s a good life. Ain’t nothing like it. 🤘🤘
I mean, that's one perspective. Those sound great until you're forced to acknowledge the poverty, despair/hopelessness, rampant substance abuse, bigotry & ignorance rooted in tradition, condemnation of anyone "different", religious zealots, EXTREME limitations on entertainment (other than fishing/bonfires/hiking which is limiting over the course of a lifetime), etc. It's always a double edged sword with pretty even measure of pros and cons.

I'm not a fan of songs of the country genre in general but I love this woman. Her voice is fantastic, her lyrics are down to earth country and she packs enough stage presence and charisma for three country singers. She's frequently compared to Dolly Parton but her voice is so much stronger there really is very little comparison. Keep on keepin' on Miss Lainey, you're bound for generations of fame!

I appreciate her as a lifelong sufferer of fake Country Music, however whoever titled this is dumb. A medley is more than 2 songs
Annoying. Can’t put my finger on the specifics why… it’s the stand, tone, exaggerated accent and more. Well…. I guess I know why I get annoyed when she gets on stage. I really used to like country… what happened here? Im sure it’s just me. I tried watching her over a few times but I’m not feeling any different. Totally annoying. I know, I know… then don’t watch right… I do turn her off when she’s on stage or on any of my sites but inevitably I see her again somewhere and feel the same way! Whew… thanks for listening to that rant!! 😮
Well I happen to be from the same parish (aka county) in north Louisiana as Lainey. Her accent is real and how other people who live there talk and sound. Every time I talk to my parents on the phone, I probably sound just like that too. It’s a very small town, rural, southern and a little bit redneck in that part of the state. You don’t have to like her, but you gotta give someone credit for getting out of a rural small southern town and making it big in Nashville whether they annoy you or not. That takes hard work, talent, and dedication that not everyone has. Just my opinion and some facts about north Louisiana culture. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk 😜
