Well this is definitely my opinion, but id say it's okay for beginners to trace alot of stuff as long as they don't publish/post them and then claim it's theirs, reference and tracing are the best and worst friends of artist somehow simultaneously
Tips for drawing hands from a traditional artist! 1: Don’t be afraid to look up references! I used to do this a TON when I was first starting to do art about…what, two years ago? Idk, but it can be really freakin’ helpful if you don’t have as good of a sense of anatomy and can’t draw very well from memory 2: When you’re doing your sketch, think of the palm more like a fingerless glove rather than a circle or rectangle. It’ll be SO much more helpful with finger placement, and it’s much easier to get the orientation correct imo 3: If you can, try doing the hand pose yourself. Analyze the basic shapes and their proportions, and try to draw it as best you can Hope these help, and happy drawing :D 💜

This is correct. You can trace templates, your self (your ocs) and more stuff that its yourself. But don't trace anyone without their permission.
