A full world buffed Phase 5 geared raid WITH NO Warriors would have 70% less overall damage than a non World Buffed 18 Warrior raid. Because Warriors are the key ingredient to fast kill times, you do not parse regardless of your class and spec without being in a Warrior stacked raid. Not basing this entire Video around Fury Warrior's and their crit and AP scaling is an inherent flaw in his hypothesis, especially Horde Warriors with WF who paired with white crit cap from World buffs become rage drunk, Heroic Strike Queing monsters who's Bloodthirsts deal more dmg per point of rage than Execute.

@Brian I play feral dps, it definitely scales better because we use almost every stat. So zandalar giving more int + spirit is good for more powershifts, rend head giving mp5 for the same. All those mana stats are useless for warrior. But yeah, even though it scales better for us we usually wont beat warrior, but if you get lucky with crits you can beat em
This video is completely missing both WCB and DMF buffs. These are some of the most MAJOR world buffs of all. Why do you think Darkmoon Faire week is called parsing week? It's pretty silly to make a video about how much world buffs can improve your character and then NOT have two of the biggest ones of all! I'd understand missing shit like the BFD frost damage but to forget Rend buff AND Sayge's fortune of damage? What the hell, have you ever gone on a world buff tour in your life? Secondly, it didn't test on warriors AKA the world buff gods AKA the entire reason the world buff meta exists. For you see, warriors are the only class whose resource gain SCALES with their damage. The more you crit and hit and murder your enemies, the more rage you have, the more abilities you can pump out, the more damage you do. Damage leads to more rage leads to more damage. World buffs compound on warriors because they not only increase the power of your abilities, but actually allow you to cast MORE of them. This is especially true with Warchief's Blessing (why the HECK are you missing WCB, the OG most major world buff?!), where the haste lets you pump out more Heroics Strikes or Cleaves. I would go so far as to say that one single comparison on warrior DPS would be more valuable than every comparison shown here. Lastly, this video starts off completely wrong on hunters. As for hunters, the AP buffs from world buffs don't work on them, despite the tooltip clearly indicating they should. Many many many private servers had the world buff AP work on hunters because it's just such an obvious bug and completely unfair, so depending on what setup you're testing on you may not be 100% blizzlike and might have hunter's wrongly benefitting from world buff AP.
You should consider revising this video. It could give the false impression that hunters get ranged attack power from the DMT and Dragonslayer buff. This is purely melee attack power (and so is the haste from Warchief’s Blessing …)
No I don't? I never said they get bonus attack power, you can even see in the stat comparison that they don't get a huge bonus in attack power before and after world buffs.

AP bonus on World Buffs do not affect Range AP, nor does the Haste portion of WCB affected their range attack speed. This is why hunters scale so poorly in classic. They don't get any benefit from the major buffs that warriors, rogues, and feral/bear druids can enjoy.
Personally, I'll be glad to see them go. Raid night is way to easy, and the challenges from bosses are almost non existant. Dump the world buffs, and put us back to 'work' !

People bemoaning world buffs state that a major grievance that they had:"I'm fundamentally locked out of playing my character once I obtained them." The insistence that people *must have world buffs* in order to clear raids is just hyperbolic and self-deceiving at best. You can easily clear MC-BWL-AQ with a token few meme specs involved and no worldbuffs if you just play correctly. Even Naxx in classic was doable without world buffs if you just played well. World buffs bring Meme Specs into (not optimal, but,) viable DPS range, and for other classes it is >>>completely unnecessary to have them

It's a tough choice, who benefits more. Fury Warriors, or Holy Paladins. Note that a warrior easy gets a 60% damage buff, if not more (before dark moon faire). But that 18% crit + the int bonuses from world buffs added with a flask of distilled wisdom, and you should never run out of mana.
Its funny I never played vanilla but I remember all my friends who did talking very fondly about it. They mentioned a lot of things the leveling, doing dungeons for the first time finally getting their epic mount. What they never mentioned not even once is world buffs and how they went around collecting every world buff and decimated the PvE content. I think when TBC arrive and Classic has been and gone what people will remember most about the game is the world buffs and how for a large portion of the player base they really dominated their gameplay experience.
So basically a 40 man raid group with world buffs is equivalent to a 60 man raid group without buffs. Fuck me. No wonder the content is being deleted by the players as fast as it is being released.

They're called "World" Buffs, not "Instance" Buffs, so maybe they should have been restricted to the open world. At the same time, I can understand a raiding guild wanting to clear the content faster if they've already done it a bunch of times. But bringing World Buffs into battlegrounds? Tbc will have its own issues when they base it off 2.4.3 people will clear content just as fast as in classic because everything will be nerfed people using me drums etc, the difference between vannila private servers and classic was they tuned thing s up by 30 percent and didn't have world buffs for the first month.

Just gonna put this out there, this isn't changing for speed runners or "Hardcore" guilds in BC. Buffs are still there, and require less people to clear. still possible to do buff runs, then get summoned to your Tempest Keep raid. But for the majority of the more casual guilds it's more of a positive shift.
A 200 DPS increase is big, bigger when you multiply it by the number of DD you're rocking in your raid. 30 DD = 6k extra DPS with world buffs, shaves off some fat ass minutes on a run.
World buffs been there for a long time difference is now people focused on optimal performance beyond reason the raids aren't built with this level of optimisation in mind
When they release fresh Classic servers, I'd like to see each character limited to 1 world buff, and also a large nerf to flasks (75%). I love when your whole raid gets ony buff and flies out on pve or pvp server, or has a reason to fly out out together on a pvp server (to get into raid alive). Not to mention, progressive itemization would be nice...

I almost wish they would be temp banned from naxx the first week to see which guilds actually know how to do mechanics. I've seen too many warriors that have no idea how to spend rage properly without world buffs. Not to mention all the mechanics that can simply be ignored by just killing bosses so fast.

Good thing that guilds were prepared with 500 nature resistance for Huhuran. Otherwise they would stood no chance. For warriors because they scale so perfectly with them, it's more like a 100% DPS increase, however he did not showcase the prime example class, probably because his experience is very limited with the warrior or he just didn't want to, either way that's the reason it's a melee meta.
I guess they should make buffs to only apply to your (whole) guild and/or group after downing an end of raid boss (say Ragnaros) and then work for the remaining days of the week ONLY inside higher level content (BWL in this case).

Your math is crap. I’ve raided on my hunter since September. Our world buffs do not “almost double our damage”. Mind you the DMF makes up a flat 10% and I’m not addressing that. It is a complete roll of luck how Head/heart/SF perform. More crit more likely to crit on aimed shots and that is the only way we do distinguishable damage. You either simmed or lucked out one run where the numbers performed the way you showed. I guarantee you crit less than average on the unbuffed and more than average on the buffed one. Show those types of stats (a log of skills used/landed and average crit) and prove me wrong.
How the hell can the math be crap when its literally 5 dps tests divided by 5 what I use as a dps baseline. Thats it. What you just said made 0 sense..

Very. Just look at the numbers lol. There was a frost mage geared way under mine in mc a week or so ago, but he was fully buffed. He was hitting 1080 on average with his frost bolts while I was hitting around 940
Alex T he did it on a private server where he has full control of everything. That’s why the mob was locked and not attacking him. It was just really bizarre to not include warriors.

Scale = increase in DPS. Warriors will add between 600 and 1k DPS just using world buffs and consumables.

That's not even counting warchief's blessing for melee.. which I hear is another 150-200 dps for warriors.. it really makes me want to see who gets world first KT on classic WITHOUT world buffs more than WITH. I almost wish they would be temp banned from naxx the first week to see which guilds actually know how to do mechanics. I've seen too many warriors that have no idea how to spend rage properly without world buffs. Not to mention all the mechanics that can simply be ignored by just killing bosses so fast.
sure, they are pretty good, but still does not mean you can't rampage through naxx with half naked lvl 60 ret paladins with lvl 10 maces in less than 3 hours LMFAO
Why wouldn't you include warriors, the absolute best scaling class in the game and the dominating class in all of Classic?
I don't have any experience playing warriors, couldn't do it justice if I used that class.

Good thing that guilds were prepared with 500 nature resistance for Huhuran. Otherwise they would stood no chance. Now i hope that they prepare frost resistance for sapphiron.. if they want to clear naxx in 5-7 days. Naxx is whole different story, many guilds won't have dps for patchwerk ''the guild breaker.'' But i hope people do prepare.. i sincerely hope..
Thank god for World Buffs. Otherwise AQ would last for weeks. Huhuran alone would last at least a week with Nature resistance gear unkilled.

For warriors because they scale so perfectly with them, it's more like a 100% DPS increase, however he did not showcase the prime example class, probably because his experience is very limited with the warrior or he just didn't want to, either way that's the reason it's a melee meta.
I guess they should make buffs to only apply to your (whole) guild and/or group after downing an end of raid boss (say Ragnaros) and then work for the remaining days of the week ONLY inside higher level content (BWL in this case).

What challenge? Who is using world buffs on progression? My Guild literally only bothers to get them on farm content to make it quicker.

Your math is crap. I’ve raided on my hunter since September. Our world buffs do not “almost double our damage”. Mind you the DMF makes up a flat 10% and I’m not addressing that. It is a complete roll of luck how Head/heart/SF perform. More crit more likely to crit on aimed shots and that is the only way we do distinguishable damage. You either simmed or lucked out one run where the numbers performed the way you showed. I guarantee you crit less than average on the unbuffed and more than average on the buffed one. Show those types of stats (a log of skills used/landed and average crit) and prove me wrong.
How the hell can the math be crap when its literally 5 dps tests divided by 5 what I use as a dps baseline. Thats it. What you just said made 0 sense..

Very. Just look at the numbers lol. There was a frost mage geared way under mine in mc a week or so ago, but he was fully buffed. He was hitting 1080 on average with his frost bolts while I was hitting around 940
