Why does workers' comp keep changing my adjuster? Should I be worried if they change my adjuster?

- This video discusses how common it is for workers' comp insurance companies to change adjusters from one file to another. If you are an injured worker with a California injury, and don’t have an attorney, this video is intended to help provide an overview of workers’ compensation topics so you can better represent yourself.
Jeremy Lusk is a certified specialist in workers’ compensation with about two decades of experience, and previously served as a Judge at the Fresno District Office of the WCAB. He has worked out of Fresno, but appeared at numerous Boards to represent both injured workers and employers/carriers.
No attorney/client relationship is created or implied by this video. This video is not offering legal advice as to what you should, or should not, do in your workers’ compensation case, but rather offers education/information as to the California workers’ compensation system for unrepresented workers so they can better represent themselves and make more informed decisions.

I had a very good adjuster at the start, and then got someone hardcore and out right ignoring me quite often after a few months. This adjuster says no or ignores everything I ask for. From my experience, I would ask for everything early with your first adjuster. The second adjuster most likely will not help you at all.
It can be very hit and miss with adjusters. Ideally your adjuster will change again soon, so you have better luck.
@@myworkerscompguide Thank you for the information. I am beginning to think I am stuck with my adjuster and got lucky with the first one. As the first adjuster told me that my original assigned adjuster was on vacation. Been over a year now, I don't think I am getting another adjuster.
@@kindredmalise6633 Best of luck to you.
Thank you
Happy to help inform.
Are the QME supposed to put your race inside of THE report?
Interesting question. I'm not aware of any statute that either allows or prohibits the QME stating the applicant's race. So listing it in the report is not likely an issue. However, apportionment to race, credibility issues related to race, or really most any other conclusions of the QME that are based on race would likely be problematic.
@@myworkerscompguide thank you for responding. After checking with 10 other claimants scattered throughout California and from different ethnicities, none listed their race. So I researched it further and found case law were they was a restriction put in place for the QME not to provide it. So I was confused about why my race was included.
@@myworkerscompguide and thanks again for responding.
@@tanyapeters5062 Interesting. Do you mind sharing the case law on point?
@@myworkerscompguide I’m not at home. Printed it out. Will google and put in chat if can find.
