Having sung with Rutter and chamber groups for 35+ years, this interpretation is flawless. The voicing is magnificently well balanced. Thanks for not rushing tough it and letting each word melt into the other without sounding sloppy. Bravo!!
I think you've got the right tempo: not too fast nor too slow; the voices are very good, and the most important, they have good breath control, which is difficult to achieve in these works. The intensity of the composition is great, although some parts lack some contrast. I really think you've done a very nice job! Cheers to the choir and director!
Very good the “incipit”, where each section enters the mood of this fantastic composition with a very “discreet” and quiet approach, to my opinion what was in Palestrina’s mind...
Im just doing a little research how this song plays and ran into this, ill be performing it with my Highschool Choir and cant wait to live up to this quality!
Beautiful voices...good balance, blend, diction with good attention to dynamics. Just need to control the vibrato in some places; otherwise, an 'excellent' performance.
Such a fantastic tempo. My teacher, the late Carmen-Helena Téllez (who taught at IU for decades), always said, "tempo is affect." The deer is pining for the stream, as the soul is yearning for the Holy One. This tempo, IMHO, depicts that. It's become fashionable to speed this motet up, with the justification that the divisions of the breves would have meant a faster tempo back in the day. Who cares. Bravi!
Palestrina’s sublime music conveys a feeling for the transcendent. A truly beautiful performance of a piece depicting the soul’s longing for God
And he was fired from the Pope, totally ignorant of music, and probably of others too.

who sung this?
JDolande The Indinana University Conductor’s Chorus in 2016. Thank you for watching!
Great rendition but the recording quality is not good. Nevertheless, I am proud of my Alma Mater
Why the natural in the tenor part at 2:54? Did you not notice, or could you not correct it?
some scores have it written that way. It's one of those pieces where I believe it can be done either way
Demasiado cuadrado para mi gusto . Palestrina bien interpretado sólo el coro de la capilla Sixtina
very spiritual but too much romantic for me...by the way BRAVI
