I bought mine under your recommendation over a year ago. I carried it on my key chain for several months until I wore a lot of the finish off. I have since wore it around my neck on some paranoid. It has served me well. It looks like it's been in combat but it still shines as bright as the day I bought it. This light is NOT over priced. In fact I have a lot of LED flashlights that cost as much or more that don't have the functionality to dependability of this one. It's a real keeper.
Just to bring up the point about the red light for low-light/night-time use - red light is also far, far less "damaging" to your natural night vision than regular white light. Meaning that using the red light at night is actually an advantage over single-digit lumen white light options. Just something to keep in mind.
That's pretty cool! The different modes are unique, never seen that offered on a keychain light before. Thanks for introducing me to this, I'm gonna check this out.
+doug “bearcountryhiker” nc that means a lot. it also means you and I must have similar tastes. I try to show what I like and only show what I research myself and and use.
So a little FYI that i have found not many people know, scorpions glow bright green in UV light!! It makes this flashlight really useful here in Arizona!!!
Hi, My daughter does a lot of walking in the city and I want her to carry a small key chain light with the most output for size. What fits the bill from everyone's experience? Thanks, William
That has to be the coolest flashlight I've seen in a long time!! Price point is a little high, but I think it looks to be worth it. Love the Red and UV lights. You can find a lot of things with UV.
Now that is a very nice light. I myself don't mind the price at all, as long as it can be recharged, is EASY to use, and the quality is there. Great review and keep up the great work.
Love it, got it after watching this review. I had a slightly smaller keychain light before, but with much less output and expensive batteries. Thanks for the vid. :)
+Living Survival I have put a Hip Clip from Nite Ize on the back of it and made a cap light. Pretty good for hands free work. Thought you might be interested. I did it with the Nitecore Tube too.
Not sure if anybody brought this up yet but wouldn't that be much more competitive to the Nitecore TIP since the tube is only $10? The TIP is $30 on amazon and while it doesn't have the UV or Red bulbs it is more than twice as bright.
Great presentation. I'll agree that it is awesome. However, I got three Nitecore Tubes for 30 usd shipped to Australia. That's a bargain. If the MecArmy was 20 usd shipped I'd give it a thought, but then again, I already have three awesome keychain lights.
I know this is an old video but I have this light and when it’s on my keys it just randomly starts flashing white and red all the time so I ended up taking it off has anyone any idea why it would be doing this ?
Subbed! Another great review. I wish they would stop improving flashlight technology--it's costing me too much money. Every time I think I'm good for a while, I see another awesome light that I can't resist.
Very nice but high price, think i will stick with the tube, as i dont need UV. The red is a nice feature i would use that but not for a high price. I think the tube is high value. Its good to see companies see a market in this size look forward to what comes next in the key chain size, i expect there will be a race for max lumens :)
I'm kind of regretting subscribing I'm going to go broke watching all these videos lol.I'm a gadget guy have to try it all.its a bit much for light but the water proof is a must in the terrain I venture out into.so I will order it and give it a try keep up with the great products videos I will be waiting for the next video to come out thanks
+Living Survival you do great job your the first one I have subscribed to because you explain the product perfectly and I like you field test it as well
I want a keychain flashlight that goes to OH SHIT first if you are about to get jumped if you can get that bright light into their eyes you might be able to blind them and disable their knee allowing you to get away.
The Nitecore tube is garbage. I've had 3 and not ONE lasted more than 2 months before they totally failed. I will try this one if it's not too pricey. Thanks for the heads up.
great review, thanks. this is a cool little light. i have a hard time spending to much for a light but this one i think I will buy. thanks for the code too.
Also, right now MassDrop is having a... mass drop... for this same flashlight. Lowest price is unlocked at $35 + $2 shipping. www.massdrop.com/buy/mecarmy-sgn3-flashlight Chances are the drop is already over for anyone seeing this, but don't worry! You can request/vote for it again and another will take place.
Can you get it ANYWHERE else besides GearBest? They just suck so much... EDIT - Found this light on Fast Tech (www.fasttech.com/products/0/10019756/4183300-authentic-mecarmy-sgn3-led-keychain-flashlight).
too bad there isn't a big puddle of blood in your apartment; maybe you can sacrifice a goat before the next video, to please the gods and the viewers..
$10 vs $45 yeah i'm sorry but the 2nd u said that i say i made a much better decision than going with that. $45 may as well buy a full on combat light for that instead of that mini shit light

thanks for the feedback!

Just something to keep in mind.
the flashlight...is perfect to put on a flashlight?
Badass light! Would definitely be handy. Kinda spenda but it's rugged and rechargeable and has decent but not too many modes. Nice review Ben.
+Feral Woodcraft thanks for checking it out Joe.
That's pretty cool! The different modes are unique, never seen that offered on a keychain light before. Thanks for introducing me to this, I'm gonna check this out.
+On the Trail with Dale i thought so. anytime i come across something like that i try to show it!
How many charges can you expect to get out of it? That's something that would definitely come into for me.
That looks like another must-buy. Dude your like some kind of freakin' Gear Jedi. I have no idea how you find all this stuff. Great video Ben!
The U/V light would definitely be handy for checking for counterfeit bills and scorpions. If you live in an area that has those.
+kingvague true.
how about Manker LAD ? where more good Manker LAD or MecArmy SGN3
Hi, My daughter does a lot of walking in the city and I want her to carry a small key chain light with the most output for size. What fits the bill from everyone's experience? Thanks, William
Interested. adding that to my wishlist. Also want to pick up that Surefire Keychain light.
+PREPAREDMIND101 The titan? It is a great light as well.
dude that light is sick for a Keychain light
+Dustin Williams agreed.
Love how you can recharge it and the many options with the modes.
+SouthPaw Bushcraft agreed. you changed your logo?
+Living Survival Yes it grew up lol do you like it? or no?
SouthPaw Bushcraft yes :)
That has to be the coolest flashlight I've seen in a long time!! Price point is a little high, but I think it looks to be worth it. Love the Red and UV lights. You can find a lot of things with UV.
+Lazy Man Prepper thanks man.
awesome flashlight. prefect timing. I've been wanting a square flashlight that has some power. thanks!
+luke garcia DO IT
Living Survival I will do it! Lol
Sorry for posting twice but is there anyway to turn this light on in the red mode or do you have to have white first?
Here in San Diego the UV light is great for detecting scorpions which also glow under UV light
+Clay Reynard really, I didnt know that.
Now that is a very nice light. I myself don't mind the price at all, as long as it can be recharged, is EASY to use, and the quality is there. Great review and keep up the great work.
+wjf213 thanks.
Just wonder can the UV light use on currency note? Thanks.
Get the Nabo its even smaller and it's 400 lums and I got about 8yrs ago..and it still works awesome
Love it, got it after watching this review. I had a slightly smaller keychain light before, but with much less output and expensive batteries. Thanks for the vid. :)
thanks for watching.

+outfiitter23 thank you, that means a lot to me. have a great weekend.
You to Ben
Wicked key chain light! Thanks for the code! great review!
+guns4funcajanajustin thanks.
Tell ya what. I'm not much of a flashlight guy, but, I do like this one. Adding this to my must have gear.
+Harry Bachmann thanks.
Pretty slick light. Thanks for the vid.
+Mike Appleby ;)
Just got mine, lovely bit of kit.
+edward houlton for sure.
+Living Survival I have put a Hip Clip from Nite Ize on the back of it and made a cap light. Pretty good for hands free work. Thought you might be interested. I did it with the Nitecore Tube too.

David P the tube is $6.99.
Nice little light. I still like the sidekick better. Nice review btw!
+bahman r i'll have to try the sidekick.
luv the different modes. I just order the nitecore tube for a new Keychain light. for the price it's great. maybe later on I'll get one of those.
+gene smith def a great priced light. i have two of them.
Love those kind of things... can't stop consumering)
+Sos Gassity lol
Good to know, just got the Nitecore too!
That lighr is sweet!
I've never heard of this company before. How long have they been making/selling flashlights??
not sure how long but they are talked about quite a bit on the larger flashlight forums.
Hi Ben, watched a few of your videos, nice reviews.
I'm a bit of a flashlight nut so your videos are making me want to spend money.
Regards Wayne
no way of going straight to the red led from off?
Great job Ben.
No lockout?!
Damn thats good for a key chain .
Great presentation. I'll agree that it is awesome. However, I got three Nitecore Tubes for 30 usd shipped to Australia. That's a bargain. If the MecArmy was 20 usd shipped I'd give it a thought, but then again, I already have three awesome keychain lights.

How about Nitecore Tip?
Thanks, sold! Used that coupon code, thanks for posting!
+Jean-Claude Photography ;)
I know this is an old video but I have this light and when it’s on my keys it just randomly starts flashing white and red all the time so I ended up taking it off has anyone any idea why it would be doing this ?
The button is being pressed by the keys in your pocket when you sit down 🪑
DAMN that little thing packs a punch! i love "micro" gear like this. anybody remember that massive maglight that ran off like 6 D cells? lmfao
+Tom Tomson i do , lol. still have one under the sink.
+Living Survival Nice... maby you could do a quick review on a rainy day. or bludgeon a zombie in an upcoming episode lol
Subbed! Another great review. I wish they would stop improving flashlight technology--it's costing me too much money. Every time I think I'm good for a while, I see another awesome light that I can't resist.
+Madman6505 lol yeah i hear ya. thanks for watching.
Finding your keys in your purse... but the "keychain flashlight" in in the keys... facepalm* Hahaha!
Very nice but high price, think i will stick with the tube,
as i dont need UV. The red is a nice feature i would use that but not for a high price.
I think the tube is high value.
Its good to see companies see a market in this size look forward to what comes next in the key chain size, i expect there will be a race for max lumens :)
+Tac Blades tube is a great light for the price for sure. thanks for the comment.
+Dj Schultz haha, i've heard that once or twice before. Sorry man. my job is to keep on keeping on ;)
+Living Survival you do great job your the first one I have subscribed to because you explain the product perfectly and I like you field test it as well
Dj Schultz try not to do any tabletops on most things.
I want a keychain flashlight that goes to OH SHIT first if you are about to get jumped if you can get that bright light into their eyes you might be able to blind them and disable their knee allowing you to get away.
Great vid! Thx. Will be purchasing from Touch of Modern for $36 with tax and shipping = )
+Nick Woolley nice.
that would be nice to use an s biner and clip it to one of the swivels on a rifle sling
+Eric Holladay true.
Very nice little light and very nice revieuw as allway's...I have a Nitecore T but I'm gonna get me one of these also...thnx bro.. ;)
Get a nightcore TIP. More than twice as bright & a lot cheaper.
160 is not a lot compared to the nitecore and others. For the same price you can get a flashlight that has 360-1000 lumens.
True, my thought as well, but no red&uv..
Ben, nice light. Is Amazon going to sell this one?
Hopefully for less than the $43 they want for it.
Let the black light inapropriate jokes roll!
Sweet!
+gideonstactical thanks for watching my friend.
At that cost I'll stick with my OLight i3s. Might consider a newer version or perhaps the Thrunite equivalent. Good review. Take Care and Be Aware
Curses! Another tiny flashlight I'll have to get at some point. Good review.
Recharge port Good lumens
And metal ? = Great !
thanks for the info. that could really be handy.
Great video. Are you going to announce the winner of the backpackers pantry today?
+Elias Torres the backpacker's pantry was already announced and won. the mountain house is coming soon.
+Living Survival ok thanks
got it love it thanks dude.
Very nice light atb John
The Nitecore tube is garbage. I've had 3 and not ONE lasted more than 2 months before they totally failed. I will try this one if it's not too pricey. Thanks for the heads up.
The switch on my Nitecore is going to pot, how can I get one?
+Tyrone Walker call nitecore.
Living Survival No sir, the MecArmy unit.
+Tyrone Walker oh, amazon or gearbest.
Thank you very much.
great review, thanks. this is a cool little light. i have a hard time spending to much for a light but this one i think I will buy. thanks for the code too.
+blackops84321 it is built tough so will last.

+Peter Is cool i didnt review the tube/
Oh okay well thanks for the grate video
Great review, i have this light as well, really love it. thank you very much for a good review :D
+pongskarn wangvittayarat great light
If I could afford it, I would buy like 10 of these and stash them EVERYWHERE! Awesome light. Maybe soon! #GiveAway? HA.
Also, right now MassDrop is having a... mass drop... for this same flashlight. Lowest price is unlocked at $35 + $2 shipping.
www.massdrop.com/buy/mecarmy-sgn3-flashlight
Chances are the drop is already over for anyone seeing this, but don't worry! You can request/vote for it again and another will take place.
Makes one wonder what is it in our blood that can be picked up by ultra violet light, fascinating beings we are
Code expiration??
when you said a little more expensive I didn't think you meant 6x the price of a tube
+J Archer eh...four times
+Living Survival I get them for 7$ so 7x6=42
great stuff
I would say it is far too expensive for something like that.
Enzorox The build quality is superb 👌
Taking that into consideration there isn't much competition that I have found that is very relevant.
Nice light.
+Chad Morgan thank you Chad. have a great weekend.
+Living Survival same to you man
Great review
how cool but wouldnt get 50$ use of it great video tu
Oooooooooooooo....the precious! ٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶
+N1ght3d LMAO
neat
40 dollar? buh then take an oligth
Nice review. Looks like Nitecore tip is a much better value.
Can you get it ANYWHERE else besides GearBest? They just suck so much... EDIT - Found this light on Fast Tech (www.fasttech.com/products/0/10019756/4183300-authentic-mecarmy-sgn3-led-keychain-flashlight).
too bad there isn't a big puddle of blood in your apartment; maybe you can sacrifice a goat before the next video, to please the gods and the viewers..
i'll think about it.
$10 vs. $40 , somehow not relevant
Stop eating!
+Kombirollo why?
+Living Survival
Look in the next mirror and you know....
Kombirollo easy to be a keyboard critic. thanks for watching though.
+Living Survival
Thanks for the video.
Ben, from one Michigander to another, think twice about doing business with gearbest, they're a Chinese data mining company. user beware.
+Foot Fangs i use paypal. i don't have any credit cards to be mined.
+Living Survival, Yea but your subs do!
On a lighter note, good channel. I picked up a SGN3 160 from a US distributor.
Foot Fangs nice :)
$10 vs $45 yeah i'm sorry but the 2nd u said that i say i made a much better decision than going with that.
$45 may as well buy a full on combat light for that instead of that mini shit light
thanks for the input.
