Yes I like this style of editing, I also like longer videos and shorter ones and you have a mixture which benefits everyone keep up the good work all the best 💪🏻👍🏻.
When you get there 1st thing put some foam round the cavity behind the lintel to fill those holes. Thats cold air straight onto the plasterboard and can get black mould.
Lovely work mate. If I'm up against it for time, I always chuck a scoop of cement in my mix for dabbing......sets solid in about 20 mins and won't budge 👍🏻
I’ve been plastering for 7 years now & I love that I’ve just found your channel, you’re the goat, love the content man🤝 I’d have waited for the boards to set before skimming but I gotta try this way now🤣

Went straight over where the trickle vents have to to fit on the new bifolds window/door fitters going have fun putting the vents nice job but didn't alow for the vents ventilation will so vents won't be inclined when screwed onto the frame where the slot cut outs are in top of the frame 😉
When you're cutting plasterboard & the paper edges or corners get a bit ragged, do you just trim it back? Some US videos suggest sealing such with Zinsser Gardz or PVA, but that's for taping & jointing.
Kirk you mentioned waterproof sand and cement for 9 inch solid walls - Would you choose this over treated batten & foil back plasterboard? Would your approach change if it was solid stone walls?
Internal lintel was lover than external... Head has to go in level. I think they probably just cut the holes lover fitted the vents. If a window fitter couldn't figure that out I'd be very worried
Before half-time came along and every now and then when i haven't got any i just knock the skim up and leave it in the bucket board it then skim is normally stiff re knock then throw it on super quick.

So many details executed in this that only a professional with tons of experience and knowledge would know and be able to do. Lucky customer.

the last time i tried to double down on half time it went horribly wrong fast. A true pro making it look easy. Awesome video kirk

Fortunately, the window fitters I work with are world class so they bail me out of these situations I get myself into
Hi Kirk, does the cavity have to be filled for you to put plasterboard straight on or can it be empty?
When you're cutting plasterboard & the paper edges or corners get a bit ragged, do you just trim it back? Some US videos suggest sealing such with Zinsser Gardz or PVA, but that's for taping & jointing.
The only way that head comes away is if they demolish the house great job as usual
What foam is that i use mega stik
No dust sheets over floor or furniture? Plus I’d of said, no I can’t hurry. I’ll come another weekend when your staying in 😏
Kirk you mentioned waterproof sand and cement for 9 inch solid walls - Would you choose this over treated batten & foil back plasterboard? Would your approach change if it was solid stone walls?
Do ya ever use off cut of plasterboard, machine edge for a square for reveals pal?
Unreal.. I love you Kirk
Cheers pal
You should use ct1 Kirk to stick board to steel never comes off
Do you try your boards dry before putting anything on them? Not judging just wonder
Like to see whether the window fitter was able to fit tickle vents
Internal lintel was lover than external... Head has to go in level.
I think they probably just cut the holes lover fitted the vents.
If a window fitter couldn't figure that out I'd be very worried
I use to use stiff plaster, on smaller/ medium jobs. But now I suffer on my elbow so be careful if you want a long working life in plastering.
Whats the average cost to go to bare brick and fully replaster a 3 bed house
HI kirk, when you dab onto brickwork do you need to prep the bricks first, ie scrubb off the loose dust / seal with SBR / watered down PVA?
I always do. You know you've got good adhesion to the brickwork. And your boards wont pop off as their only stuck to plaster dust.
Before half-time came along and every now and then when i haven't got any i just knock the skim up and leave it in the bucket board it then skim is normally stiff re knock then throw it on super quick.
Get another job over seas to post that was by far the best video

Great work pal, thought you might of chucked a dust sheet over the expensive wine
I hardly ever sheet up unless we're on carpet.
I genuinely hate dust sheets so I've just taught myself to not drop any and keep a damp cloth at hand
Remember old houses I built in Inches as well. But the best advise I can give you is 25mm is an inch. So 100mm is... Easy
I scrape a thin layer of dab over the underneath of the steel first. Let that dry, you can put dabs on it after no problem
Really thin, like rizla paper
Where's the cavity closers Kirk?
I don't know mate, I'm just a plasterer 🤷♂️
That was my first thought, window fitters should have fitted them.
There's an earlier video of plastering round something similar, again with no cavity closure. Must be a speciality of the window fitting firm!
Drywall adhesive bottom metre especially right at the bottom no good, any dampness will be straight through the adhesive and the board.
You do not know what you are talking about 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
@@andysmith8901you obviously dont
Do you ever get Keiran on the trowel? Sorry if this has been in other vids that I’ve missed

Is it true decorators dont like going over highly polished plaster???
You need big shoulders to work the hardening plaster.
Put 3 sachets in and youll be done by 9.30!
How much you charge for this m8
And then edit.. “and that’s the second coat going on now” 😂
It went abit quick an we didn't have much time to film as kyran had to clean the bucket at lightning speed 🤣🤣
