My 87 year old father was in tears after I played Jackie's performance on BGT. Tell him that was an act of worship. I'd rather think we are all entitled to appreciate beauty. God created beauty, and endowed us with the gift to be able to appreciate it. I know it's temporary - all the more reason to enjoy it while it lasts.

The most amazing child talent ever INDEED!!! Other than her small lungs & small repertoire of songs, she's already the best singer ever. By a lot. When you do things a LOT better than Anna Netrebko, & a WHOLE lot better than Maria Callas & Leontyne Price, that means you're pretty good. That's Our Girl. Fantabuloso Jackie.
Of course now, 9 yrs later, she has all the lungs she needs, a voice that is better than ever, plus a huge number of hit songs, having performed all over the world. So all the early promise we all saw in her back then has been realized.
I LOVE Jackie and her performances are always great, but frankly, I think she nailed the high notes in this song better on the vid of her visit to Japan. She came DOWN on those notes like on a piano keyborard, none of the glissando sliding up to them as she did here....check it out...(and watch the lady in the background's mouth fall open as she did so)...
She has appeared in Vegas at least a half-dozen times. At the Smith Center twice, along with Mandalay Bay, also at Cirque du Soleil, and one or two more. Nothing since Covid though. Hopefully again soon.

And she plays along with the host when he jokes around with her. Michael Grimm also shows class; when he is announced, he invites Jackie to stand with him and holds her hand. Best of all, Jackie seems to be having so much fun...and that's really what it's all about.

@dolfen7 I totally agree. But it was Leonardo da Vinci, not Michelangelo, who painted the Mona Lisa. Anyway, I can hardly compare Jackie Evancho to any other artist in history. I've seen the Mona Lisa at Louvre and other beautiful art pieces, but nothing puts the beauty detectors in my brain into overdrive like Jackie.
Fabulous! I'd like to say something about the dislikes in some of Jackie's videos. Some of them may be spurious. Some time ago, I was watching RUclips videos in my Android Tablet, and I accidentally pressed the Likes button for a video that I had nothing to say about. I was just trying to stop the video or rewind it, but the tablet interface is a little messy sometimes, so the damn O.S. understood the Likes button instead. It could have happened to the Dislikes button instead, in a JE video 8(
