I'm currently in my creator era and discovered your channel on a quest to grow my own channel. I've been loving your videos, thank you so much for all the time and effort to provide quality content!
I'm just starting to actually believe I can be a full time content creator one day. We got our first brand deal and I knew how to negotiate because I watched your recent branding deal video. I didn't think I could get a branding deal with only 2.5k, but I did :) It unlocked a new excitement level and now I'm really trying to get things in order to make it a business. This video (along with so many others of yours) will help! Thank you!
We don't know each other but I'm so dang proud of you. You go! What a joy and encouragement to read about your hope and enthusiasm. Thank goodness for Katie! ❤🎉
@Scare_Lair thank you. I'm also still struggling a bit with what yo vreate, but little bit by little bit I'm starting to figure it out (I hope! Lol). All the best with your channel
I am a cardmaking youtuber who started out also sharing my weight loss journey, then nursing school journey on my channel. Now I'm showing more cards as it brings me happiness in my crazy busy days. I work a full-time and part-time job while also attending 2 classes. Even with this full plate, I , over the last few months, have been trying to turn my channel into something more solid. I feel of the three topics I've brought up on my channel I might have to drop one to really stay in a niche and make my "audience" happy to make this a job. But I need to test this theory. And I don't want people subscribing to me if they really don't care about my content. Kwim. Like I'm 2 people away for 1000, but I'm not pushing for ppl for to just subscribe. Anyhow, watching you has been inspiring and very interesting. Please continue posting. I'd like to find a way to make this lucrative, but honestly I have so much going on just trying to make it so I'm at a good point in my everyday life it's hard.
@@LilCraftyNook Hi! Nice to meet you! I checked out your channel and subbed. I feel w/ our niche, income streams definitely varies. Then there's the stolen artwork/products, always feeling like you have to do haul... it's a lot to figure out. I started rough drafting ideas and just saw yt's new traffic hit that's hitting people. Good luck to you, you can do it!
I love the fact that you were transparent about yours and your partner's financial situation and how he gave you the security to be able to build your business and achieve your goals, which benefits both of you. Your journey inspires me
This video is so helpful! Very straightforward and realistic tips. I have been self employed for a couple years (not through content creation) and I want to add in another tip! I would definitely always keep taxes in mind. It seems obvious but that tax bill coming in is something self employed people have to get used to when coming from a regular paycheck where it's always taken out on its own. I am trying to set aside 30% of my profit to be safe to have enough for taxes.
I love that you included the financial side of being a content creator! Thank you for continuing to create videos like this to encourage other youtubers (like myself) to grow their channel! 😊
Hey Katie, can you share some tips (or even do a video, maybe?) on financial tools creators should be using, like tools for invoicing, making sure you get paid on time, brand deal contracts, tracking affiliate sales, saving for taxes as a freelancer, etc? I really want to grow and go full time next year and I know a lot about what I need to do on the creative side, but I'm still learning about the financial/business side. Any advice you could offer would be great!

I say $$$ is the last thing on my mind. I do RUclips & haven't made any money. I do it because I enjoy it and want to share my recipes. I honestly don't see this replacing my regular income.
I like your site and your super interesting videos!!! It shows you like what you do!!!

Do one thing differently today than you did yesterday. Drink an extra glass of water instead of soda or something sweet. Walk further to the store if you can. If you can’t then find another way. Read 10 pages of a book. Journal for 5 minutes. One behavior change can literally change your life ❤you got this
It’s just a word I just made up 😅 luv it 💛
I just came across your channel. I've been trying youtube for the last weeks and I'm really excited about it. But as a very new channel I find it hard to get people to see my videos and subscribe. Any tips on how I can promote my videos and channel? Love you! You earned a new sub :) Best of luck to everyone
