- So we make it to Mt Hotham, some of the best motorbike riding you will do in Australia especially on a Harley Davidson ! We discover a car that has rolled down the embankment. I stop in at a local Harley dealership and take his amazing Road Glide for a spin. The Alpine region seriously has some of the best Harley riding in Australia !! There is a major crises at hand with Veronica the Biker Girl scratching her new $1200 Burberry boots !!

Learn your bike Danny. Learn not just how to ride it but how to operate it mechanically. The CVO comes with emulsion rear suspension with hand-adjustable pre-load. That means that when you have two riders on a bike, you adjust the suspension by hand with a wrench included in the tool kit, for the added weight of a passenger to stop it bottoming out on every little crack and crevice.
Emulsion means there is fluid in the shock with a restrictor valve to stop the harsh bottoming out of said shocks when carrying extra weight. The shocks are those thingys on the back with the springs wrapped around them. You'd have to remove the pannier bags to find them so I guess a guy like yerself would have to see Colin to accomplish that task. That Sir is just sad.....
BTW when pulling off the road, never pull off where the ditch drops away from the pavement or you will dump the bike every time when yer legs are not long enough to reach the ground which is sloping down and away from the bike.

I disagree because I do all the mechanical work on all my cars and bikes. If I could afford brand new bikes and cars and to have other people work on them I would not touch them at all

@@danielhayes-domore on my 2017 CVO Electra glide. Paint has started to flake seen the sprayer who does all the work for my local HD shop, told me can't match the paint on cvo's have to buy new parts. I'm over the pond in the UK so maybe someone could possibly tell me different.

I very recently upgraded the suspension with Wilburs on my 19 RKS. It's unquestionably better, but I still think I did the right thing upgrading the cam before upgrading the suspension. I had a Roadglide Ultra CVO a few years ago and was a bit jaded that it has some bells and whistles, but not ALL bells and whistles. It really should come with upgraded suspension as well as some sort of quick release mechanism to take the top box off. Maybe that comes with a higher price, but so be it. You don't pay the CVO $ tag to then spend more. On a different note, I'm liking this series of vlog. It's a different pace, and entertaining

With the last three Harley's I have purchased I changed the suspension as the first thing I spent money on. I have a '17 Road Glide special with legend suspension. Went from a 12" shock to 13" shocks and it is a huge difference. Harley is unbelievably behind other manufacturers in this area.

Go with Legend Suspension Danny. They're made in Sturgis, South Dakota. I put the rear shocks on and set the sag. My wife noticed the improvement immediately. I ended going to Legend's factory, while in Sturgis this past August, had them install the front cartridges. I rode 3500 miles (5600 km?) in a week back home on the complete suspension. What a difference! Can't say enough about them. Great vlog!
@@Paul20661 I have no experience with Ohlins. I did hear that they are being offered in the Harley Screamin Eagle catalog now. I went with with Legend because of two long distance riders on RUclips. (Scooter Tramp Scotty and Adam Sandoval) After seeing the roads that STS rides in Mexico, I was sold. Plus I have heard that, their lifetime warranty is excellent, and the staff is very accommodating. I am NOT a paid endorser. I just belive in their product after almost 8000 miles of riding on this new suspension.
I second the Ohlins option. My experience of them, front and rear, on my 2016 Street Glide Special was excellent, both solo and with a pillion.
