I've use and impress with OPPO Reno & the Find Phones and really very durable and it's camera very sharp for me. OPPO 108 camera definitely more better than Samsung A73 108 camera ya!
The only thing I see people complaining about is the sd695 but if you think about it, it’s not like the phone looks laggy, or if you’re a hardcore gamer. If you’re in that category you’re probably not the target customer for this phone 😅
695 limits the video performance of the camera as it's limited to 1080p only. So imagine, having a phone which can take extremely good 4k videos but you cannot just because your SOC doesn't support 4k.

But then they abandoned it so it only got 1 android update, 3 months after its release while still on shelves. So less than a year after I got it, was old and their customer service response was an absolute joke. Will never buy them again. Know Samsung are not angels but at least they update models for 4 years. I liked the pop up cam instead of hold punch and The underscreen finger print scanner was also best I've used. Credit where it's due but the lack of updates was unacceptable, especially as big changers had been made in android with auto and few other features. 1 update, 15 months into it's life would have kept me happy."
I've been using it for a month now and it's a very nice phone the performance is enough for me i can play hrs of codm and the performance won't lag. The only problem is when your editing with alight motion . It lags usually during export

My cousin has this phone. The front camera is very terrible.. If you're gonna buy this phone, make sure to test first its camera specially the front camera because like I said, the front camera is really a disappointment.

As for 695, that's the only bad side of the phone. Even if it was 730G, it would be great, at least it would give the 4k capabilities.

And Samsung has been infamous of not using the more popular and widely accepted snapdragon but insist on their own inferior exynos lol. At this point the sole reason of going samsung is brand recognition and as you say longer software support. The build quality of samsung isn't any better compared to the chinese offerings in the same price bracket either, the A series has been using plastic all these years. All their budget flagships like the FE editions also used much inferior quality stuff to cut costs. Frankly I find this Reno 8T quite a rip off too. SD 695 is really not ideal at the selling price of 1.8k. Might as well get a discounted Honor 70 for cheaper, with a good camera sensor IMX800, curved OLED too, and a far superior SD778G+ for better fluidity in the long run. If you don't mind brand recognition, the Poco F4 series is a steal, SD870 256GB for cheaper. At around the same price, the OnePlusNord 2T with Dimensity 1300 is a much more promising choice too. Imo OPPO and Vivo always release funny products to trick less informed consumers into buying them to boost their earnings. Not to say their flagships are bad, but their lower end offerings just seem funny to me when I dive deeper and compare other products in the market.

As for the case of Reno8 T, I also think it's priced too expensive when it comes with only a SD695. The same goes for the case of recent Vivo V series. So yeah, if one doesn't care about brand or their software then it's better to go for brands like Xiaomi (Redmi & Poco), OnePlus and Realme which offers better hardware at the same price point. But in my case, I'll still stick with Samsung for now since I do prefer OneUI over other UI, despite the build quality is meh (I'm using A73 btw). Other than that, the only possible brand that I might consider is Realme. I don't really want to get a Xiaomi phone though especially when I'm one of the many users that troubled by software issues during MIUI 11 & MIUI 12. Just my 2 cents.

If you can accept realme perhaps you can accept oneplus too. Nord 2T isn't bad, but if you can stretch your budget more (compared to upcoming A74/54), the upcoming OnePlus 11 is a compelling option. It offers great value, great software longevity (4 years OS and 5 years security patches just like samsung flagships) and comes with reduced pricing compared to the 10th gen. The US base model starts at $699, in the UK it is £729. I reckon it might start at 3099 in malaysia, to be revealed on valentine's day haha. You get a latest flagship grade device with much less plastic and compromises haha.
