Ashwin Ramaswami, a 24-year-old Indian American software engineer, is running for Georgia State Senate in District 48, aiming to be the first Indian American and Gen Z senator in Georgia's legislature. Ramaswami, who has support from prominent Democratic leaders and organizations, is challenging Republican incumbent Shawn Still, who is under investigation for election-related charges. If elected, Ramaswami would promote progressive policies and become the first Indian American and Gen Z member in the Georgia State Senate.
