First family with values and no trashy.I'm glad Hayley was able to help him to bring a wage like his wife. This episode shows that not all the unemployed are lazy, there are others genuine reasons behind.
Dean was in the army for 2 years, I wish society didn't need to have police and soldiers but those people put their lives on the line so we can live in a world where bad deeds have consequences. What the heck is trashy about that? His partner was adorable and just needed a little more self confidence.
Define trashy. Every family has a story. Take Linda, Tara and Stephen for example - the parent didn’t guide her kids, Tara mainly takes care of the family. Tara has never been told “I’m proud of you, you’ve done a good job”. But of guidance from Hayley, Tara is now in work and confident. So again define trashy. Because your comment “first family that’s no trashy” is a example of trashy and judgmental
This is a clear sign when your mental health problem becomes comfortable, that paralysis becomes a habit that a person can't come out of easily. 3 years is a long time to settle into an inactive routine. I know how it feels, I am in this situation. I've had an 9 year career gap due to family commitment. It has affected my mental well being too. greatly affected. I was also a finance professional and it took courage to look for lower pay jobs. Lots of courage and lots of rejections from jobs that i felt i deserved.
My husband is going through the same situation,i was soooo happy to see Shakeel got his job ...i wish the same happens with my husband too...he is very hardworking and experienced but dont know why it is happening to us
This has got to be my favourite episode they were such a loving family and you could tell they just wanted the best for them and their children. Amazing I would love to hear how they getting on now.
This family reminds me of my brother's wife. She'd do everything for him when it came to looking for work, even typed up his resume & sought references. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if she attended job interviews for him! There should be more fairy jobmothers in Australia, helping out those seeking work & on the verge of giving up because some jobseekers are either over qualified or too old.
Fantastic work Hayley … I was filling up when that lovely man got a job. A beautiful family they deserve the very best. Well done you are an amazing motivator.
The man was so demoralised you could tell how much he was hurting, he was a good guy which you could tell by his reaction when he got the job , you could see he was so full of pride and his only interest was telling his wife.
Love this show........I've cried just about every episode......ok, i confess, all episodes i've watched..... She is an angel giving back in so many ways!!
Such a lovely woman, walks into a home she’s never been in, understands the family is Muslim and has no hesitation in greeting herself in the Arabic words of peace be upon you. Very touching, very respectful. You can see why this woman is essentially a peoples coach.
Such a sweet, goodhearted man! And I love his wife.... Thought Hayley went a bit too hard on him at one point. I wish him all the best, him and his family!
I have been in exactly the same situation and mind set as him , I felt very very low , I’m 62 now and clinging on to a job that is way below my skill set , only benefit is that it is 1 mile from home .
I am so happy he got the job, so many people out there have potential. I think whoever needs help to get in to work, they need someone like Hayley to guide them in to work, and not only the guidance from someone like Hayley, but the self belief and confidence to do it for themselves.
Some people get stuck in a rut and they close themselves off thinking they have no options then there mental health declines to the point they become depressed, I was in that rut for years as I felt there was no point to life and I had no aspirations, I then become a father and my prospective on life changed the day she was born, my job is to keep her safe and looked after, I now have a 20 grand a year job doing a job I love and I have other plans and goals for the future. But birth of my child was a turning point and a wake up call for me and my life is so much better for it
Best episode EVER! Werent you just willing that job to be his! The one that made Hayley squeal (and us!) and cry! She is amazing with people. Ive watched this loads!
I've worked in recruitment for the past 4.5 years and it genuinely made me tear up when I seen that he got the job and how happy he was. From the feeling of suicide to that was amazing to see. Good luck to him 👌👌
He really looks the part, when he's in his suit....He walks like an executive....He has a warm smile...and makes a good impression, in person... So sad when he mentioned suicide....I think he's very far away from that , now
Love Hayley, she’s such a positive Lady & she is so helpful & inspiring to those whom she helps. I have previously made a negative comment, pertaining to certain individuals on the series, but this Lady is dynamite
Surprised many people still don’t know the ‘tell me about yourself question’ is basically running through your CV and achievements in each position. It’s not about asking you if you like food and music, or you’re kind and hardworking. You need to give concrete examples.
She is a powerful forceful woman and she might get people doing the right thing, but I feel the problem here is that this man is suffering from depression, and I think that needs to be addressed too!
You’ve gotta have a levels nowadays to work in greggs ! I went for an interview for to Maxx and I was sat in a room doing paper work and questions and it’s just not fair because I’m not articulate and I was never clever at school. However I am very hands on and hard working and know if they offered me the job I would have been brilliant
It's about habbit, he was out the habbit if getting up early in the morning and it's hard to get back into that habbit. Such a lovely man and I think he genuinely wanted to find a job, it's just hard to get back into good habbits
I hope this man has got some counselling, he has depression as he suicidal thoughts and truly hope he has got help for that. My heart goes out to him x
It is hard for some people, almost impossible to bounce back from repeated rejection. It destroys something within you and you will feel that you are worthless. Fear of further rejection will naturally enough almost immobilise you at some point and you creep into your shell, becoming more withdrawn, feeling hopeless, giving up. It is easy to say, do more, apply for more jobs, but depression is like living under a thick, dark blanket that makes you feel tired from the time you get up to the time you go to bed. When I speak to people who are clinically depressed they have no spark, no energy, there is an absence of animation, of joy. People like that are not enjoying their life. Some can fake it for you for a bit (the elderly in mourning for instance because they are often so kind they won't burden you), some can't even do that (a parent who has lost a child for instance). It is a harsh spiral and it could happen to any one of us. It is easy to look down on the unemployed and sneer at them. Yes, some are just lazy, scared to grow up and stand on their own two feet but others have been knocked down, so that they have no faith in themselves and have become lost. If we are really honest with ourselves, how would we fare if another great depression came upon us and we lost the homes we have nearly paid off, the savings account and investments, our jobs and all the security we think we have provided? What if the govt decided it could no longer pay out the pensions we feel we have secured, would we be walking the streets wearing cardboard signs saying, "take any job for any pay", or would we kill ourselves? I remember years ago watching a documentary on homeless people living under a bridge in London. Some had been married with children, living in their own homes, managers, lawyers, a doctor. The despair when they lost a marriage or a job led them to alcohol and the cycle was a downward spiral you could not lift yourself out off unaided. Once you have no home, you won't get work. You need an address, a place to shower, wash your hair and clothes, facilities to look groomed, money for toothpaste and a haircut. It was such a sad documentary and really opened my eyes to the plight of the homeless. Not everyone can help themselves, depression is a horrible master and some, sure not all, but a lot of people without work or without a home or both really need a guardian angel or they will never get out of that rut, other than through the final exit door. If you are ever in a position to offer someone work and help them back on their feet, it would be a great kindness to consider offering a 3 month trial. Does it always have to be the youngest, prettiest, most confident candidate or could you take on someone and let them blossom under your care?
Exactly this!! And sometimes it may appear to be laziness but actually it’s down to having no guidance/confidence etc. Take Tara for example from the Linda, Tara Stephen episode ❤
Clinical depression does not exist. People become depressed because some aspect of the way they live their life is not right. I truly believe the responsibility lies with the individual to pick themselves up
the most loyal wife in the world, i can't beleive there are women out there in the world like these, bless her she is a gold for a wife, and that is what all men want loyal and helpful women for wife

I think this show was on about 2007 ish. Before the crash definitely. Its amazing how much the attitude around mental health has changed in 15 years. Also look how much easier it was to apply for jobs back then: No 27 page application form AND CV attached for every job to hear radio silence back just the paper and a phone and people actually reply

Wow, that was the best ending ever. He got the perfect job, working for people from his same background. Where he doesn't have to worry about religious discrimination. I've gone through that with jobs.
Religious discrimination? What on earth are you on about? Are you from the UK. Rare you find religious discrimination

A think she is great at her job, right to the point, makes people see who they are. Great show….
She is simply lovely- maternal but tough! And down to Earth.
First family with values and no trashy.I'm glad Hayley was able to help him to bring a wage like his wife. This episode shows that not all the unemployed are lazy, there are others genuine reasons behind.
No family is trashy ! Everyone’s story is different and different life’s
Hayley is an amazing woman, not only she helped this man to get his job, she also got their lives back.
I agree because I am a qualified lesbian
This woman is so strong I love her drive and she definitely has good advice 👍
My husband is going through the same situation,i was soooo happy to see Shakeel got his job ...i wish the same happens with my husband too...he is very hardworking and experienced but dont know why it is happening to us
God Willing he will also get a job. Don’t lose hope.

This has got to be my favourite episode they were such a loving family and you could tell they just wanted the best for them and their children.
Amazing I would love to hear how they getting on now.
What's with the class? Middle class, working class.
Would love to see an update on what life is like for the Safir family today. I truly hope things have improved for them.
This was filmed in 2009
This family reminds me of my brother's wife.
Sadly there are no fairy jobmothers In Australia.
Omg I started crying, poor man, its not like hes lazy. Xx
you are a lovely person
Fantastic work Hayley … I was filling up when that lovely man got a job. A beautiful family they deserve the very best. Well done you are an amazing motivator.
10:26 you can tell he really feels ashamed of being unemployed, he just needs some help to find a job
Harley well done! This family needed this professional push, direction, support , a listening 👂 ear !
You can see why this woman is essentially a peoples coach.
they are in the U.K. where citizens are loyal to the Crown which is the head of the Church of England ...
She got him off benefits.
That’s the most important part.
Far too many people like him sucking England dry.
@@anneroy4560😂😂😂😂
I wish she'd been around when I had a husband who wouldn't even look for work.
🤣🤣🤣
So the difference with other episodes I saw is that the gentleman is really desperate to work…
Hope that he’s doing ok as well as his adorable family
Update:
Shakil is still working as a supervisor at Bombay Halwa.
How do you know?
Fantastic news, how did you find out?
@@Blindlaura He found out by going onto RUclips, onto this video, and coming up with a fabricated story and posting it in the comments.
Tears of Joy always warms the Heart. This is what life is about - doing something good for others
They should be more of Hayley Taylor around to help those people on benefit.
I totally agree!!
Such a nice man with a lovely wife and kids. I am so glad he managed to find employment.
Thanks for posting, I watched the first two episodes yesterday, was searching for the third one this morning
Having been where he was for two years, this touched me deeply. I am so happy for him and his family, oh and I cried happy tears
So happy for him having no job must be so demoralizing
I loved this episode! Shakil had got into such a rut, Hayley gave him the motivation he needed. Fantastic!
Languages make all the difference. The ability to speak six different languages is exceptional and should be rewarded.
He doesn't live too far rom an international airport, where he could probably get a decently paid job in a blink.
Hayley is such a confident and phenomenon woman. She knows on how to dominate and make you work.
What a lovely hard working family. He so deserves a job. Makes a change from all the other episodes.
Such a sweet, goodhearted man! And I love his wife.... Thought Hayley went a bit too hard on him at one point. I wish him all the best, him and his family!
I have been in exactly the same situation and mind set as him , I felt very very low ,
I’m 62 now and clinging on to a job that is way below my skill set , only benefit is that it is 1 mile from home .
He’s such a good hearted man! I’m so glad he got the job!
I am so happy he got the job, so many people out there have potential. I think whoever needs help to get in to work, they need someone like Hayley to guide them in to work, and not only the guidance from someone like Hayley, but the self belief and confidence to do it for themselves.
Me too because I am a qualified lesbian
Whats this ladys name,Hailey is it? She is outstanding. More people like this in the world is what we need. : }
Hayley reminds me so much of my mum. She is firm but so kind, caring etc. ❤❤
Some people get stuck in a rut and they close themselves off thinking they have no options then there mental health declines to the point they become depressed,
I was in that rut for years as I felt there was no point to life and I had no aspirations, I then become a father and my prospective on life changed the day she was born, my job is to keep her safe and looked after, I now have a 20 grand a year job doing a job I love and I have other plans and goals for the future.
But birth of my child was a turning point and a wake up call for me and my life is so much better for it
Omg that poor man talking about ending his life, I know how he felt that was me last year.
Happy for him and the family bless Hayley she is a Angel.

I've worked in recruitment for the past 4.5 years and it genuinely made me tear up when I seen that he got the job and how happy he was. From the feeling of suicide to that was amazing to see. Good luck to him 👌👌
God bless Hailey! This episode really touched my heart!
He really looks the part, when he's in his suit....He walks like an executive....He has a warm smile...and makes a good impression, in person... So sad when he mentioned suicide....I think he's very far away from that , now
Congratulations Shakil, you deserve this.
I'm so pleased for him and his family. Well done Sir.
I know how he feels and its absolutely horrible knowing the only thing keeping you here is an obligation to loved ones....its so damn hard
Such a lovely man and a sweet family
No
Love Hayley, she’s such a positive Lady & she is so helpful & inspiring to those whom she helps. I have previously made a negative comment, pertaining to certain individuals on the series, but this Lady is dynamite
Awe what a lovely fella, good for him, great family👍🏻
Surprised many people still don’t know the ‘tell me about yourself question’ is basically running through your CV and achievements in each position. It’s not about asking you if you like food and music, or you’re kind and hardworking. You need to give concrete examples.
He was genuinely thrilled to get that job. Good on him.
She is a powerful forceful woman and she might get people doing the right thing, but I feel the problem here is that this man is suffering from depression, and I think that needs to be addressed too!
I love Hayley she is amazing!
Way to go, Shakil! You could see the depression there. Hope he and his family are doing better.
This women is a legand , we all need her in our lifes
You’ve gotta have a levels nowadays to work in greggs ! I went for an interview for to Maxx and I was sat in a room doing paper work and questions and it’s just not fair because I’m not articulate and I was never clever at school. That man really lacks self confidence and its awesome to see someone lacking in self worth and see what happens

TLDR
Clinical depression does not exist. People become depressed because some aspect of the way they live their life is not right. I truly believe the responsibility lies with the individual to pick themselves up
Bless you,
you are a real human being.
My goodness how bad this man wants to work, I am glad your helping him
the most loyal wife in the world, i can't beleive there are women out there in the world like these, bless her she is a gold for a wife, and that is what all men want loyal and helpful women for wife

Love these shows. Felt for him with the comment about ending it all. Great show.
