    I loved this review-smart, concise, informative, and pragmatic. The different perspectives you provided were particularly valuable, and I’m definitely getting myself an XSTO soon. Thank you, Jon, for such a thoughtful review and for taking the time to share this information. Cheers, bud!

    Solid review. I can personally attest to this positive review - simple, efficient, an engineering marvel, and satisfying to use (not to mention the awesome backstory of the company rising from the ashes of the Carr wildfire).
    A couple of FYIs:
    1. It’s actually pronounced “A-KEEN-EYE” (which I thought was pretty clever).
    2. I noticed a negative review on their site stating they didn’t experience that satisfying click when inserting cards. AKEENi actually put out a RUclips video on how to “tune” the wallet by slightly and carefully bending in toward the middle both “springs” if you will (not the stainless steel one). That way the wallet tights up a bit and boom: satisfying click 😊

    The XSTO is a Gem of a wallet - I love mine. I have the 4 card variant in navy blue with an upgraded carbon-fiber business card cover - the best $8.00 upgrade you'll ever spend. The navy blue and black carbon-fiber business card cover is a perfect color match. The 4 card variant easily holds my daily carry of 6 cards and 5 emergency cash notes folded into thirds with room to spare for receipts. Akeeni hit it out of the park with the XSTO. Get yours.

    I've watched just about every single review on this great minimalist wallet but noticed one thing that stood out to me. Never in any of the reviews I watched was there any mention of RFID security 🤔 It's the only reason I haven't purchased yet. I also don't see RFID mentioned anywhere on the Akeeni website. So, I called the company and asked about RFID. The service agent said that the metals should block the signals especially the cards towards the middle and bottom. She also recommended facing the cards towards my leg inside of my pocket. 🙄 I'm not quite sold on that tbh. As much as I want to support this US company and being from Nortgern CA myself, I just can't pull the trigger on this without it being RCID certified by the company and on their website. Bummer

    • @JonGadget
      @JonGadget  3 года назад +1

      you can purchase blocking cards - so one at the top of the pile should sort it - although you would lose a card space.

    • @RoLLUpAFat1
      @RoLLUpAFat1 3 года назад +1

      @@JonGadget Thank you, I was thinking about that and wondering if RFID cards are sold separately. I'll definitely look into that. I should still have plenty of space even with adding a RFID card. If they come in different colors even sweeter. Thanks Jon 👍🏽

    Really interesting video - thanks! Do you carry it in your trouser pockets? Wondering if the hard edge wears your jeans a bit more than a normal wallet?

    • @JonGadget
      @JonGadget  3 года назад +3

      Good question John. I've found it fine to carry in front jeans pocket, all contact points on Xsto have rounded edges so had no issues. It's also very lightweight so does not weigh the pocket down. Would be perfect if it had a deep carry pocket clip to stop it dropping to bottom of pocket. Can feel a bit lost in back pocket and is a bit hard to sit on! so front is best.

    Can a couple of keys fit at the back with cash?

    • @JonGadget
      @JonGadget  3 года назад +2

      That's a very good question. I've just tried it (not sure why I haven't thought of this before!). The answer is 'yes' to flat keys aa couple fit easily. The keys with the round shaft do not fit well. Care needs to be taken to ensure any keys do not slide out as they are heavier than cash/receipts, but a bit of cord on the keys could easily create a bit of friction to stop that happening.

    • @JonGadget
      @JonGadget  3 года назад

      Hi there. The answer is no I'm afraid because the cards are exposed on the open side. I don't believe RFID card data theft is a serious issue from what I have read but good to have if it's there. The Canvas Slim Sleeve from Bellroy (also reviewed on the channel) does have this feature if that is of interest.

    • @johnbauman4005

      @@JonGadget Agreed that RFID theft is currently nonexistent. For those with concerns about the future, credit card-sized anti-RFID envelopes are cheap and readily available online. Each would add some small bulk of course. Where I live one can obtain an enhanced driver's license that can be used in lieu of a passport for crossing the border into Canada (pre-Covid). Mine was issued with such an RFID envelope. Adds negligible thickness in my current leather wallet. ATB!
