Even if you hated super mega force, it’s beautiful to see all those toys and full display from back in the day. Unlike now where you can barely find any ranger toys at target or anywhere in store.
I love SuperMegaforce it's my childhood and a Big part of me! All though i never had any toys from the show i still enjoyed watching it on cartoon network 😁

Just in general. Toy sections in stores are pretty much nonexistent post 2020.
they’re mainly at walmart we’ll here in minnesota, i saw zords,morphers also a tony of action figures from different series, i grew up with ninja storm,S.P.D ,jungle fury,Dino thunder , & plenty more from that era 🫡 i miss waking up walking power rangers all night on Disney channel & JETIX if you remember JETIX please like my comment!! 💯❤️
I will never forget when they committed to completing teams and giving us exclusive keys for characters like the Phantom Ranger and Titanium Ranger.
Oh man, this was such a fun (yet frustrating) line to collect. Constantly going to Target or Toys R Us to hunt down the latest key packs was quite the experience. To this day, I'm only missing RPM Pack B, since it was a TRU exclusive and my local TRU store had shut down by then. That pack still shows up once or twice a year online, but often goes for $70-100, which I just can't justify, even though it'd complete my set.
As a kid i would have loved to get all of the keys, but adult me just looking at all the different products id have to get makes my wallet scream

I... Hate to say it, but I want Hasbro to do what Japan is doing and release a new Morpher and new keys.
Honestly same, I have all the ranger keys in a display in my room
But now I want Dino Charge, Ninja Steel, Beast Morphers and Dino Fury
And maybe fix the spring feature
They should just remake the Morpher and Keys and rebrand and revamp as the Lightning Key Collections.
I mean, honestly, at this point I’m happy just to have the Memorial Edition Mobirates
@@SignatureFox713 I’d love for them to fix the spring issue, I had a wild force white key and at some point it would always stay in key mode, it was so bad I had to tape the legs to the key part so it could stay in ranger mode
They should also bring the size back to 3.5 inches or so
I wonder if Hasbro would consider a mobirates for the lightning collection? Imagine them releasing beast morpher or cosmic fury keys lol
Or Dino Charge and Ninja Steel. Which I would want to see Hasbro do if they can they should make the super mega gold key that Bandai didn't make for Orion
I'd love to have fun with this series more often but GOD I can only imagine how long it takes

After graduation next month I'll have more time so hopefully the process will be faster (plus it's an easier toyline for the next one)
I picked up both the 25th anniversary sets when they came out, and strangely, my Mystic Force Red key has a SPD Red chest piece.

Collecting all the keys in 2012 was quite the journey. It was like building a 100 piece puzzle that took 3 years to complete. I'm so thankful I was so full of energy and had the time to get them all
I was just barely too old for these. By the time Super Megaforce started I was already a Sentai fan, and had the Mobirates and a bunch of Japanese keys. I got the Legendary Megazord when it came out because Gokai Oh was too expensive, but after one look at the American keys, decided not to bother and just stick to the Sentai versions. Haven't regretted that for a second, especially after watching how poorly these releases were handled.
I liked the bandai america style keys. I'm still shocked we never got Lauren though
To be fair you could always modified Jayden’s key. I believe you can scratch the black off the top of the legs and make a red skirt using the base red plastic of the key. It’s not the cleanest but it works

I really wish the Tommy Oliver and MMPR con exclusive sets were used to give us some keys that hadn't already had retail releases.... S.P.D. Orange, The Psycho Rangers, etc. I don't mind the MMPR set as much, since 6/7 of them technically represent the metallic armor Rangers, but I feel like the Tommy set was super unnecessary, especially since 40% of that set's keys were already present in the initial MMPR exclusive set.

Ahh memories.. the ranger keys will forever be the best gimmick in both Power Rangers and Super Sentai. You can’t beat this gimmick.
Something i'm surprised you didn't touch on was the lack of a Gold Anchor release. When you think about it, even considering the early advertisement misdirects, that's really the most glaring omission of all. Granted, the morpher that it would go with didn't even have any functionality given to that bottom key slot, but that's just all the more puzzling.
I should've brought that up. That was an oversight on my part.
I remember when I heard about Super Megaforce. I was young, and Power Rangers was my thing, and the concept of rangers becoming other rangers was mind blowing to me.
The ranger keys, was an excellent gimmick. I remember i had the morpher, sword, gun, and some keys.
Also the keys kind of felt like the legs could just come off, which actually happened to my In Space red key.
Ah yeah same! I think it was my SPD Green Key always had his leg falling off.
@@TokuTopicsmy Super Mega Yellow key just completely fell apart eventually, along with a lot of the paint flaking off
The con exclusive translucent mmpr green key is actually the only ranger key I own; I was shooting the breeze with the Bandai rep at the booth about Dino Charge and Kyoryuger and he gave me one for doing the Kyoryuger dance. Probably just an excuse to offload another key, but a fun memory for me nonetheless
17:32 Oh I remember these! These were given out to us back when Nickelodeon would visit Philippine schools where we had games, prizes, and stuff like a convention. I remember getting Super Megaforce Red, Green, and Blue. After flipping them up for a while, they'd stay in their key form.
Always here for a SMF video! Loved how in depth and informative this was. The Morphing Madness key set was something I didn't know about but it was cool to see. I wish I had gotten back into Power Rangers at this point, I would have loved (and hated) to have collected all of these.
A lot of the later waves and TRU exclusive key sets seemingly never made it to Canada, I guess, because I was legitimately unaware that so many had come out since I stopped seeing them on shelves. I purged my American Ranger Key collection a little while back since I had begun shifting to collecting the Japanese versions, keeping only a metallic Super Megaforce Red to go with my metallic Gokai Red, and a standard Super Megaforce Yellow because she was my favourite. Seeing now just how many sets I actually missed I don't regret the decision to bow out of the line

My wallet is screaming in pain. Even if they rectify the issues, imagine collecting these keys at the start and end up having so many duplicates just to get the keys you've never had before.
I still try to get these key till this day, but most of those packs sadly where never released in germany
UK had a similar problem. I got in touch with Bandai after seeing America get more but was basically told they’d moved on
I was honestly so hyped for American Ranger Keys when we got the news of Gokaiger getting adapted for SMF. But then I saw the lack of female keys in that first few waves and lost interest entirely. Had Bandai America just committed to finishing full teams from the very beginning I would have bought pretty much every ranger key that they’d release.
I remember I used to own a lot of these ranger keys, I was very obsessed with owning the japan versions.
Gokaiger is too good of a toyline.....I'm not kidding. I dread buying a mamorial mobirates because at that point, I'm financially doomed.
Which is why the Donblaster and the avatar gears put my mind a ease

Oh god the memories of collecting the American ones, it was frustrating collecting these things.
The translucent keys really ticked me off because they were always packed in instead of just finishing the damn team! I eventually did get every team completed, still have them on display all these years later. Somehow I’m lucky and my keys haven’t had a problem staying in ranger mode, though I don’t touch them anymore out of fear that their hair trigger is going to go off and make the rest of a team go off
actually they're is an easy fix to the trigger it's bending that lil part that holds the key part down just a tad bit further it won't damage it depending on how much pressure is applied.
All the additional keys we got after super megaforce would definitely be hasbro pulse exclusives if they were released today.
Just the other day I was at my local Walmart that just remodeled. Happen to find a birthday card from SMF. Date on it was 2013, must have been lost in the store since then
They should have released the gokaiger Morpher as a legacy release.
When I was younger I was obssessed with Samurai and when I saw these in stores I foamed at the mouth, so know I have these toys that I dont know what to do with

That’s not a German magazine. That’s Previews. I know because that’s my picture you’re showing. My wife worked at Diamond at the time and she snapped me that picture at work. I then shared it on Rangerboard before the issue even released. Interesting post-script to that story: I noticed famed toy leaker Raz tried to secure a subscription to Previews Magazine after this, presumably because he was upset at being scooped. Sorry Raz!

I never collected the keys, but I still enjoyed this video. I'm surprised they almost finished the keys, and I don't consider variants counting.
As a kid in Canada it was always hard to find these toys in the stores, so I barely ever got past the two morpher tie in keys. I wasn’t sure if it was the rampant scalpers or just my local stores barely stocking these.
I’m still pissed that these weren’t released in Australia (atleast around where I live)

I still have my ranger keys
If I was in charge of they were to be distributed, I'd have had it so each pack of three had either the Red or Sixth Ranger, one of the female Rangers, and another one of the boys for that team.
So for example, if it was SPD, Pack A would be Red, Blue, and Yellow, thus Pack B has Omega, Green, and Pink, with a possible Pack C being Shadow, Kat, and Nova thus everyone is done.
Doesn't fully work for teams like Dino Thunder, Jungle Fury, and RPM given the odd number team counts, so maybe there is when you make one of them part of the Morpher & 20 Key Pack, say make RPM Black part of that Set.
But doing that would still leave one over for Dino Thunder at least, since Jungle Fury could make a Set with Dai Shi, Camille and maybe the Rhino Ranger, for Dino Thunder, who can it be unless the exception to the rule is made and maybe Triassic Mode Red fills the spot.

I really dislike how wide their torso's are. Power Rangers has this weird obsession of making everyone into a wide-shouldered bodybuilder.
I prefer Super Sentai Ranger keys better!

WHY POWER RENGER LOOK LIKE SUPER SENTAI
Around 2011 in december I was about to turn 12 and around that time I pretty dropped power rangers cause I was getting more into ps3 and cod but didn’t get back into power rangers until legacy wars came out. Also I was about to enter secondary school and didn’t want to be bullied for still liking power rangers so I skipped samurai, super samurai, megaforce, super megaforce and the rest
...wait, what the deuce!? Bandai Japan didn't do Armed Tyrannoranger (Armored MMPR Red)!?😮😮😮 And they didn't do VRV Master (Phantom Ranger), either???
Meanwhile, good luck with gettin' the Ranger Keys now. The packs had already gotten crazy expensive on the secondary market when Dinocharge was airing, largely due to horrific distribution (and equally abysmal product stock ordering practices with retailers) making a rather artificial scarcity.
Yeah! In Sentai they didn''t make any power up keys until they did the Kyoryuger & ToQger Sets. VRV Master wasn't really counted as a Ranger for some reason/nor did he have as much of a role in Carranger as Phantom did for PR so over here it made sense to give him a key but not over there.
Wouldn't that be a hoot if hasbro took a Crack at super mega keys for the upcoming 30th anniversary? If so would you prefer?
A) BOA inspired legendary morphed with MMPR key set?
B) Hasbro does its own mold of the morpher and keys? (Ie our own memorial edition)
Finally if hasbro re-released the key set such as MMPR, would you prefer hasbro to retain the BOA mold of keys? Or would you prefer hasbro version and either have same size as previous sets or size close to BOJ sets?
Personally I would prefer option A. But I also think Hasbro wouldn't do the best job at Keys so hopefully they stay far away lol
I have the full ranger keys!!! Love it!
The lack of female ranger keys available at retail are 100% why I didn't pick up any keys. So many of my favorite rangers are female characters and if I couldn't have them then there was no point 😂
After this video I'm trying to get a collection of the unpainted ranger keys but idk where to find them
I managed to order every key except blue and silver if anybody can find a listing or is willing to sell them I'm looking

I heard they made a Super Megaforce Gokai Christmas ranger key. I believe a Power Force member had it. I would have to reach out to them to confirm.
