My favorite comedy gold from the movie is when Jaison hops on the bus (going to Desam) where the song from Hitler (Kithachethum katte) is being played and he gasps exactly 4 times in rhythm aligning with gasps in the song 😂. I told to myself, this is the kind of comedy we deserve!

rather than the cliché of starting saving the town after getting super power by the next day itself, the hero is taking organic time to develop that super hero arc in the film. i mentioned this because i have seen in some RUclips reviews that the story is going in very slow paced criticizing that it is not apt for a super hero genre. but its very naturally and realistically jaison become the mighty minnal murali by end. every thing happens to the hero and villain after got lightening is treated very grounded and in a believable way. kudos to basil and crew. The story really fits into the desi kind of story telling which can be relatable to Indian audience .
Oh that Spear connection from the first and last scenes were really brilliant. Even I recognised some of the deep detailing after watching this interview
Yeah knew it was the St. George reference from the start..St.George is also used in Lijo Jose Pellissery's Amen..so hes basically a Christian super hero..which makes it relatable to malayalis..

I have seen Basil’s interview with Abhish Mathew in Malayalam and could see he was able to articulate so well in his native language(there’s subtitle) more so then English..I myself don’t know Malayalam nd had to refer the subtitle but found more clarity there perhaps coz it’s in his native language!

I waited for this interview too long. Earlier I watched the interview of Basil with Anupma Chopra which was a good one and then I intentionally watch no other interviews for avoiding spoilers and waited for BR. But now I am disappointed ,BR asks a lot of unnecessary questions in most of time.
The powers of Minnal murali : running fast, super strength, moving objects with mind, being powerfull than normal human beings are the same powers that a ghost posses in a horror movie such as Chandramukhi, Aranmanai, Kanchana or even Conjuring. It was very clever of the director to use the above elements as superpowers as this can be easily convincing to a producer who worries on vfx budget but also for the audience who have been ACTUALLY seeing Minnal Murali all along in all the horror movies of South India till date. Replacing Shibu as a ghost and Jaison as human turns the plot into an actual comedy-horror movie.
I have a Sci-Fi superhero script, but here many directors want their credit in the film as "Story - Screenplay - Dialogue - Direction". Less importance given to writers now. My inspiration in world is Of course MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE & in India🇮🇳 is Jagadeesh Chandra Bose (1st known Scientist written Sci Fi story). General GK with currently updated science knowledge people can easily introduce a Sci Fi concept in Usual Template story and make them interesting. Best example : Spiderman Movie - Genetically Modified Hero - Tech powered villians. Just an example. Don't be accurate
