Ways to have superhuman abilities in One Piece: 1) Devil Fruits. No two are (exactly) alike and they have a big drawback (different in the live adaptation, compared to anime and manga). 2) Not being human. As you saw here, there are other species of people. Some are stronger and faster. 3) The mystery one. Yet unrevealed. Already hinted at in this show. 4) Training. Simple as that. In the One Piece world... there isn't really any physical limitation, if you persist. Once you managed to lift 50, you can try to lift 100, and when you've done that you can go for 200, 500, 1000... you get the idea. Exceptionally trained people can perform exceptional feats that we'd consider superhuman. Kuro is fast because he's just that good. 4.5) A consequence of this is the existence of a number of codified martial arts (with or without weapons), with each including several techniques that can seem like each a separate superpower.
In the Manga the drawback to eating a devil fruit is that any body of water can affect the user as they can all be considered to be a part of the sea. Running water like rain has no effect. The user will start to feel weak when water is up o their knees and will be completely paralyzed when submerged all the way. There are other details I consider spoilers so I wont say. In the live action they say salt water is their drawback and wont be able to swim. Saying salt water is the weakness can create plot holes later on if they don't clarify it. @@combogalis
@@stangbro5786 They say seawater not salt water. and it's not actually confirmed to be true. even if it is true I'm this version that at most requires some minor reworking or removal of unimportant scenes.
Oda confirmed that Luffy is ace in an interview in the mid-2000's. He didn't use the words, but he literally said that Luffy has no interest in romance or sex, and the only times he has been shown to in the manga and anime were justified as him, as an impressionable teenager, going along with the energy of the other guys around him, not any actual interest on Luffy's part.
@@yanhenrique5459 As with all things, it is different for every individual person. Luffy is someone who goes hard on platonically loving his friends with all of his heart, so Nami changing her outfit doesn't have any affect on how he views her, because he already loves her as a friend. Luffy is ALSO a bit of a dunce and doesn't understand the social cues of someone wanting to be complimented on their appearance. Lol
@@Hey-Its-DingoYeah this sums it up pretty well. I also think Luffy in the live action might be on the spectrum on top of being honestly super ace which led to him just being confused on what she's asking and why and going for "you look like you what a weird question" which is honestly its own kind of wholesome and sweet even if yeah he's a bit of a dense dunce.
The bad guys this episode are something like the “cat pirates”. Kuro’s claws and fast movement are way to show that he’s cat-like. Those are also just his skills, not a devil fruit.
i wish they'd have elaborated on the fact devil fruits are practically non-existent outside of the grand line lol. they're super rare in any of the blues, iirc nami thought they didn't even exist?
How about we just go with Kuro ate the Cat-Cat fruit and Shanks ate the Eye-Eye fruit Merry is a Sheepman and Bochi is a Catman, there are beast-men for every animal
One thing about kuro, villain of this episode, he doesn't have a devil fruit, in one piece there is a bunch of other powers people can have without needing to eat a devil fruit. Loved your reactions i hope you continue to enjoy the show.
The coffin is actually a desk. If they aren't bolted down, they hang them so they don't slide around during strong waves. Totally didnt notice it until you pointed it out.😂 Also, Usopp's Dad was the one in Shanks crew dual wielding pistols with the afro that did the sick bankshot and merc'd someone in the bar. He's a badass.
5:04 about whether you should win or loss against your leader, there is a famous story about a Go/Baduk/Weiqi player (the game they are playing in this episode), who had to accompany an emperor and played the game with him, and he would deliberately lose just one point every time. But over time, the emperor got suspicious, and ordered him that if he continued to loss, the next game he would be thrown into the lake. At the end of the game, the player still lost just one point against the emperor, and was about to be thrown into the water, he then showed the emperor that he still kept one piece in his palm and the game was one move away from been a draw if he played the last move. In the end, he was spared and rewarded with his cleverness.
It's kinda funny and understandable how everyone viewed the marines as the bad guy even though they're the good guys (well not exactly good) in the OP world.

Yeah Arlong is a sawnose shark Fishman, basically if humans evolved from fish. Strong skin, super strength, fast swimming, breathe air and water, and a lot of them are racist to humans and k mean they have good reasons to
Maybe after this you can give the anime a shot. Or at least watch the anime openings all 26. And the beautiful world of One Piece by StrawhatV. The beautiful world of One Piece video on RUclips is way shorter think it's only like six or seven minutes.

I love the line "You look like Nami." when she's changing. As someone who has believes Luffy is ace it was very rewarding.

I mean, can't asexual people feel aesthetic attraction or at least find someone beautiful?:

They're totally the biggest bad guys there are, as a whole.

The show is going to point out when and what devil fruit someone has. Shanks and Kuro both don't have any devil powers.
21:27 there’s a joke in there somewhere about personally helping her find the answers to that.
Not everything is because of Devil Fruits. This is a manga/anime adaptation. Super human abilities are commonplace.

What an image of beauty
Thank you :)
A lot of your guesses are way closer to my guesses when I watched it

I wonder if this will trigger you to watch some of the anime
Let's be honest who else is here just to stare at her talking 😌❤
These 2 are crazy
With those pants and the look at all, i get major Alvida vibes. Fans who watched the anime will understand :)

Why everyone says 'oh no' when they see Koby? They should know pirates are bad and marine and Koby are good guys.
