My thrift store organizes Halloween/autumnal things together near the front and jack(-o-lantern)s up price this time of year. But there was a pumpkin-esc basket in their bountiful basket area. You may not notice it at first glance but it is. The bands of thin wood strips layer vertically give a slight hint of the thick ridges and recessed grooves, and it tapers in ever so slightly at the top. I snatches it for $2 (its a big basket) and have my small live pumpkins nestled in it/overflowing out of the top. 5:23- immediately think "mod to be a Doctor Who weeping angel"

My favorite costume so far was Mother Nature. I got an ivory colored dress from the Halloween section on clearance. I clipped on birds and sewed on leaves an flowers (all from the days I worked at a craft store) and made a circlet of leaves for my head. I'm still gearing up to be the Headless Horseman one of these days.
