What a wonderful discovery! A thousand thanks for posting this video. Twenty-seven years ago, my friends and I sat in the front row, ringside left, for this June 7, 1986 show. Many a Saturday we drove to the WMC-TV 5 Studios to watch the wrestling, but recorded programs (VCRs were actually rare to us in those days) have long been lost or taped over. Again, to find a posted program provided a fun trip down memory lane with high school friends now scattered across the country. Thanks again!

I agree with TraderJack. It is great to read your comments on these older clips. Late 70's thru mid-late 80's were the best years in wrestling as far as I am concerned. I so miss the territories.

I miss the days when wrestlers looked and acted like men and you actually believed they were real tough guys. And still know it's a work.

I'm currently watching a tag team match where the tallest guy in the ring is the referee. Like, I really like Memphis wrestling but let's not fool ourselves

I don't remember if they did explain it on the Memphis version because that was about a month or so before I started watching the show. I do know they did officially recognize Buddy Landel as the Southern Champ.
