Luciférine is the French word for luciferin, (not sure why she chose it, but it's a pretty word and it's in line with her recent collaboration with the French artist, Pomme,) an organic compound found in fireflies that is responsible for their light-emission. I'm not sure what it means in the full context of the album as it isn't out yet (28 February, 2025 🙏) but it goes along with the "Bioluminescent" aspect of the title. Personally what I'm envisioning is someone/a traveler stumbling across the now-abandoned island of the Windswept Adan and finding themselves surrounded by all these luciferin-emitting creatures, hence why the song sounds so whimsical and otherworldly ❤
